$55/person for the bib set rental for the day! Make sure you double check with the front desk to make sure you put it on correctly. I stayed 100% dry and went into water up to my chest and my boyfriend stayed 98% dry (his one bottom of his pant leg was a tiny bit wet)

People working here should not be customer facing. Narrows hike was great but would not rent from this place again.Got two rentals from this place and one of the member of the party (10 year old) made sure bib was tight but water got in. As I was returning the gear I mention it to the people collecting the bibs that all clothes got wet, and his immediate response “not our problem you should check the size before you leave”. I said I agree I have accountability and should’ve checked and whether they have any accountability and his response was in same rude tone “nope”. If this is your first time hiking in 40 degree Fahrenheit water on a 40 degree day, anything happens you get the rude behavior. As I left he was telling other people without any regard that we spent minimum of 2 hours wearing cold clothes in cold weather, when I took picture he was smiling. They would not get my business again

If you're planning to hike the narrows, steer clear of this rental shop. On my first visit to Zion National Park, I rented gear from them and regretted it. The neoprene socks didn't keep my feet warm; they seemed to soak up the cold water. The shoes lacked grip on slippery rocks, making me stumble frequently. Fellow hikers didn't have these issues. My hike was cut short by the unbearable cold in my feet. Later, I discovered holes in the socks and the shoes' soles were peeling off. My advice: rent your gear elsewhere for a better experience.

Rented two bibs/socks/shoes for my partner and I to do the Narrows. Excellent hike, did 5hrs. She was soaked (put the bib on correctly in the store and was checked by the staff prior to leaving.Bigger problem? In the rental shop, they have a wall of $30 Gecko bags that sell as dry bags that you wear on your back. The bags say “waterproof” in two-inch block letters, right above. Turns out, they are not.Thankfully we put our phones in a zippered compartment in our bibs, because when we got back to the car, we realized the bag was soaked. When I went to the front desk to ask for a return, four employees were hanging around, and one of them told me that the packaging says it was “splash resistant” and not to submerge them. I pointed out that said “waterproof” right on it, and she made a comment about how that was “a branding thing and not their problem.” I couldn’t believe they would not return the money, but moreover, the attitude and lack of accountability was pretty stunning.I should have gone with Zion Guru or Zion Adventures. Will not rent from them again.Don’t buy Gecko bags either.

If you're going to hike the Narrows, DEFINITELY worth the $60 fee! Get a shoe size bigger because my big toes started hurting from kicking the rocks in the river. Kept me dry below my armpits. Don't forget your park entrance receipt to re-enter the National park

Great place to get your hiking gear before going on trails at Zion NP. The staff were very friendly and helpful in deciding shoe size etc. You want to make sure your shoes fit well (ok if a little big), socks are tight, and walking stick is at shoulder level. We booked the gear for 2 days for 5 people (walking stick, shoes, socks) and it cost 230$. Not terrible I guess. Defiantly need when walking in narrows. Overall great gear place and amazing park!

We were very impressed with Zion Outfitters! We rented dry bib packages for The Narrows hike. Jake was especially helpful in prepping us and answering all our questions during our fitting session the day before. Highly recommend this establishment!

Friendly fast helpful. Lockers for storage. Right at the entrance to the park. Convenient to walk across the bridge and into the awaiting busses into the park. If your coming to Zion this is the easiest and quickest spot to outfit your trip.

Zion Outfitter was the perfect spot to gear up for THE NARROWS. They know exactly what you need, and you can just rent gear for the day and return it on your way out. The waiver & payment process was easy and efficient. In our case (June 2022), we got the Warm Weather Package, which is basically heavy duty socks, shoes and a walking stick for THE NARROWS. I highly recommend these shoes & socks, even if you already own hiking or water shoes. Once we rented our gear, we left the car in the parking lot, walked into the National Park and jumped on the Zion Shuttle. This is stop #1, and The Narrows is stop #9, which is about a 45 minute scenic drive from Zion Outfitter. Overall, Zion Outfitter gave us exactly what we need for ~$30 to enjoy The Narrows to the full!

This was a great place to rent gear for hiking the Narrows. Their location was conveniently located a short distance from the entrance of the park. The staff was super helpful and friendly. The money we spent for shoes, socks and poles was worth every penny!!!!! I absolutely would not walk the Narrows without this gear. The shoes support the ankles, and the poles are a MUST for keeping balance. My boys thought the shoes were uncool at first, but after we got there, they were so happy they had them. I also rented the dry pants, which were awesome! Totally recommend!!!!!!!!

Was able to rent gear the day of the hike and was very happy with the help that the crew gave to us. Return was easy and we stayed dry and had no problems. A amazing hike that couldn’t have been done without their gear highly recommend! Perfect place to rent from and super convenient with the location it was at.

I just finished hiking the Narrows and rented gear from this place but it will be the last time. I think the kids working at this place have tourist fatigue and simply don’t care. You’re in the service industry and if you have that don’t care non empathetic attitude, go somewhere else. Whatever crew was working today January 4th 2024 made our experience feel underwhelming and we felt we were not valued. I told them our feet were drenched (we cut our trip short to turn back because of this) and that I saw other people that had rented from another shop and they had waterproof shoes. To be honest as newbies hiking in cold water we did not know it was possible to have completely dry feet while hiking in water. The guy that gave us our shoes made it as if having wet feet in this 31 degree temp was normal - IT IS NOT! This place doesn’t offer waterproof shoes but according to other hikers I spoke to while on our hike, their feet were dry - none of these people rented from Zion Outfitters, they rented from Zion Guru. Now, all the people I spoke to with the red shoes from Zion Outfitters, had their feet wet. Temp was 31 degrees Fahrenheit this morning. What was so upsetting was the careless attitude toward us as paying customers. I’ll take my money somewhere else. Our money provides you your job. Take your job seriously and care for your customers!

We rented the dry pants package to hike the narrows. The dry pants package comes with shoes with neoprene lining, neoprene socks, dry pants and a wooden stick for 50$ per person. Do note that the socks and shoes are not waterproof and will get wet as soon as you enter the waters. The staff here were very rude when responding to any queries or questions on the rental gear. It felt like they were doing us a big favor in answering questions.

First problem - I was given mismatched shoes (one was a 4.5 and the other was 3.5) I didn’t catch it until we were ready to board the shuttle. So I had to go all the way back to the store to get a replacement, stand in the line to get back into the park and back in the shuttle line. As a note- it extremely busy day at Zion so the wait to get back into the park and the shuttle was over an hour.Second problem - 30 minutes into our trek into the narrows my son (10 years old and on the spectrum) complained that his legs were cold. We thought maybe he was just chilled as we rented full body suit for him and he should be dry. Nope. He was so miserable that we cut our trip short for the day. We went back to ZO to return our gear. When we unzipped his suit (that the worker helps us put on him) water came out. We were completely shocked and another patron next to us commented how awful it was and it shouldn’t have allowed any water in. His pants he had under the suit was completely soaked. We felt so bad that he was hiking with a water suit filled with cold water. We were also pissed that his suit failed. The worker there just said - “oh, sorry about that” and took the suit and placed it in the bin to be washed. Suit was clearly defective and should have been pulled and inspected so another kid doesn’t go thru that. We had to wrap a jacket around him to remove the soaked pants and he was freezing. Talk about embarrassing for my son.Third problem - in our group of 7 adults. 3 of us had suits that let water in somewhere along the seam as our pants were also wet (not as soaked as the 10 yo) but still. We spent all this money on the proper gear for hiking the narrows and it didn’t even keep most of us dry. What a disappointment this was for us.Rent from somewhere else that routinely inspects their gear. We talked with others that rented from other facilities and they had ZERO issues with their gear.

This is where you can get your gear for the hike on Zion. Everyone here was so friendly. Clean store, clean restrooms, clean gear, the entire spot is well maintained. You can tell they take pride in making sure we all feel welcome and want to get what we need for our hike.I recommend just making sure you follow exactly what they tell you when it comes to putting on the gear because it's very specific.Bring the minimum as far as personal items. And definitely make sure that you bring either a small backpack or at the least make sure you bring water and snacks. It's a long hike and you will definitely get wet.Parking was very simple, but arrive early so you can make sure you get parking. We arrived just after 9am and by the time we started going to the trail more people started piling in.I really recommend getting your gear here. They'll take the time to walk you through it all.

A necessary stop before hiking The Narrows. Renting online is easy and descriptions are accurate. Quick service. I rented the shoes, socks and bibs to hike The Narrows at Zion at the end of December '21. Everything worked perfectly and I was not cold at all. Necessary and highly recommended.I quickly walked through their shop and I loved the merchandise!(I know the picture is not how the gear is supposed to be worn. But I snapped a quick one to show my dad while I was trying things on.)

Bibs and waterproof packs for the Narrows. Everything was clearly explained and worked great. Expensive but worth it in our opinion. The backpacks are very large, so we got 2 but could have just used 1.

Amazing place to stop! When I was planning a desert trip across three states, it was repeatedly suggested to me that I should skip the rangers station and just stop at Zion Outfitters to get information about the park. That was the best advice I got for my whole trip; not only did the staff there set me up with the gear I needed at an affordable price, but they offered me hours of their time explaining everything I needed to know about Zion and surrounding areas. They were all knowledgeable, kind, and supportive. I found the information they shared and their effort exceedingly valuable and made sure to take a film picture of the whole crew before leaving Zion. Thanks again everyone!!Special shoutout to Reese, Ellen, and Anna; thanks for everything!

It is a store that offers many different options for all needs. You can find items such as hats, clothing, shoes, backpacks, and everything you need for hiking. The prices are very fair and almost identical to those found in other stores in other cities. In addition, Zion Outfitter is an excellent option for the rental of different things like bicycles, e-bikes and something very important like the right gear for the walks in The Narrows.Recommended!

This was a great shop! They did a great job with gear rental, their sales associates were really helpful with recommending hikes, the store had lots of unique apparel, and they went above and beyond in helping with a refund issue (my fault, not theirs). They are located really conveniently outside of the park and could really take advantage of this but they do a great job at appropriate prices. Highly recommend!

Very good store to buy or rent for all of the hiking needs. We had took their summer warm package for The Narrows hike which includes shoes, neoprene socks and sticks. This

Rent from Zion Outfitters! The boots and wooden walking stick are a must for The Narrows. Many people were loosing balance without a walking stick or proper foot attire. Plus the store is right at the entrance of the park. We also rented bikes from them, that was one of the best experiences of my life. We road up the Pa'rus trail and at the end of the trail we put the bikes on the bus and went up to the last stop and road down. Along our way we stopped at different hiking trails. It was perfect!

I had a great experience renting my gear for the Narrows from Zion Outfitter. The pickup and drop-off process was easy, and the cashier who helped me was very friendly.

I would not rent gear or take showers here again. The staff are rude. The reservation process was a headache. The gear did not keep us dry and had blue tape on the inside. It didn't look like they clean the bibs, just hang them to dry. The showers were filthy. They don't care about your experience and shout orders at you as you arrive to return the gear.

We rented E-bikes from here. Prices may change but it was about $100 for the day. We didn’t really know how much we would use the bikes but it turned out to be very useful. Rather than taking the shuttle we just biked to all the locations we wanted to see. It turned out to be a very cool experience and a very unique way to see the park. They have a few trails that you can ride on to get off the roads. The only negative of biking in Zion is you must pull over and stop and let the shuttles pass you. But I still highly recommend renting E Bikes. They are very easy to ride, we got them up to 36 mph. It took about 35 minutes to go 15 miles which is insane for a bike.

Rented gear from Zion Outfitters for the Narrows hike. Wouldn’t recommend them and would choose Zion Guru or Zion Adventures instead next time. Outfitters sold a bunch of “waterproof” things (including dry bags marked as waterproof by Geckobrands, and the pants for the hike) that definitely were not and the many employees there were not helpful upon our return.

We had the best experience at Zion Outfitters! Great quality gear and friendly staff. They answered our questions and made our trip up the Narrows an event we will never forget! Rented gear the night before our hike then got an early start! Thanks so much.Larry and ShelleySpooner, Wisconsin

Staff were extremely helpful and the waterproof bib things they rent worked great. Your feet still get wet but the socks and shoes kept me warm enough that I wasn't worried about the cold.

Easy gear spot for the Narrows. Sandals? Nope. Barefoot? Just turn around. You’d be nuts to do the river hike without waterproof boots with ankle support. Yep, you’ll appreciate the stick they include with the rental. Kind staff had solid recs for other hikes.

We went to Zion Outfitter to rent gear to hike the Narrows. Although not a necessity to do this hike during the summer months, we found that the water shoes and neoprene socks kept our feet comfortable, as well as provided decent traction for the uneven and slippery terrain. Prices were about average. The staff was laid back and helpful. Check out and check in of gear was simple and rather quick. In addition to Narrows hiking gear, you can also rent cycling and floating gear, as well as T-shirt’s, hats, and other souvenirs for purchase.
