Loved everything about this place, one of the best food we have had in all time although we had some picky eaters among us. Quality of food and freshness is number one! The staff were very friendly and we didn’t have to wait long to be seated and served, e food came in timely manner with the right temperature. We didn’t leave anything on the plates as everything was super delicious. Hope to come back again one day 😊

Our server Kohl was excellent. The food offerings are varied. The Ahi tuna was a little overdone. My trout was delicious. The vegetables were undercooked. Hopefully the kitchen gets better before high season and the influx of tourists. We *loved* the signature cocktail!! 🍹 My big gripe: it’s impossible to make a phone or in-person reservation. Book online and options are limited )seating times and location).Edit (in response to the restaurant)- I will be more specific: I walked by at 4 pm with no active cell service I decided to knock on the door and could see several staff on-site ‘no one’ would talk to us or come to the door. I finally spoke to someone on the back patio and he said to call. I walked back to my hotel where I had cell service and called numerous times between 4-5 pm and no one picked up or called back. I got a call back about 5 minutes before my reservation. We arrived and the place was not busy. Basically not full (I assume they are spacing due to kitchen capacity). But this all adds up to the fact that you have a captive audience… and this is considered a high-end restaurant in the area! Sit on the back patio if you want to dine outside.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free items are noted on menu

It’s fine dine with a view. We ordered their special salmon, which was excellent. My husband had the lamb shank and he was blown away too and devoured it completely. The hidden star of the salmon platter was their shitake mushroom risotto cake, creamy and perfectly seasoned and paired with the fresh salmon. We also had their sautéed wild mushrooms and it was delicious, one could taste each and every mushrooms distinct taste and texture. Last but not least the crème brûlée.. just adequately sweet and creamy with fresh vanilla extract, my husband who isn’t a fan of desserts loved it. All the ingredients are fresh and excellent quality, great staff. I’m glad we chose this place to end our beautiful day at Zion National Park.Parking: Their own parking, or park at the Flannigans.

The best meal I've had in a while. The Wild Game Meatloaf was the best meatloaf I've ever had. The Vegetarian Forage was also excellent. The husband and I also shared a mushroom risotto cake from the sides menu, and it was so decadent and delicious. The Italian Lemon Cake was to die for, a great way to top off dinner. The place feels elegant with great ambiance, and service was great. We had such a lovely evening!

Brie was exceptional I ordered the braised lamb shank. It was prepared exceptionally well. The side dishes were excellent as well. The wine list was well appointed and offerings better than expected. Will definitely go back. The service was great and laid back never rushed and all the staff was attentive. Ask to sit in the great room for the best atmosphere.

Well-made food. The polenta cake came with plenty of vegetables and was quite filling. I really enjoyed the seasonal vegetables, which were carrots and fresh garbanzo beans. My mom enjoyed her trout. Not sure if the wild game was detectable in the meatloaf. The barbecue sauce on the short ribs was too sweet for our taste. However, it was still a delectable meal and we had a good experience.

First, Ramiro, Jose and Jerry. +1 for service because they’re great. Ramiro vibrantly described the dishes, winning us over to try the charcuterie board. Jose and Jerry were spot on with service, making sure we felt accommodated for in a packed house. Thanks for the hosting!Food: as mentioned, charcuterie is a must. It paired house smoked trout and duck and a salami with Utah cheddars and the best dried fruit I’ve had at a charcuterie. Not to say that I’ve had a lot, but for a meat and carbs guy, the fruit was my favorite part of the board.Speaking of, I got the meatloaf which was far better than I expected. The game meat, bison and elk, thoroughly ground and held together in a tomato based sauce. And once again, the stars seemed to be the veggies. Seasonal veggies and fingerling potatoes stood by themselves. I could’ve picked at that all night and felt happy. In closing, the bread pudding was a tasty way to walk out the door. Hot in a cup but light enough to keep you pleased without being bloated, no regrets grabbing a creamy mellow vanilla palate cleanser before headed home.P.S. apparently the wine selection is amazing? I’m not a wine drinker but there was some fancy selection (read as lauded by a wine snob) so if that floats your boat, grab some apps and drink away. Ramiro will point out some favorites

All items on the menu are amazing, whatever you pick you will not be disappointed. Staff and the atmosphere is amazing as well. Recommend !Vegetarian options: There are some vegetarian options :)Parking: There is parking at the restaurant, but in case it’s full there is a paid lot near by.

We had our dinner here. Food tasted really good. We tried their salad, red trout dish and kids meal. Price is not that much reasonable but if I consider the ambience, service, food presentation, quality and taste it’s justify the price. We were there 10 minutes before their closing and stayed till 9.40PM but they didn’t give us any vibe that we should finish our dinner quickly. Servers are really good at their job.

Pleasantly surprised about the quality of the food here. The appetizers were really tasty and the mains were very solid. I got the lamb shanks and it was very tender. Good service

Really delicious food. Classics done really well. I had the mushroom risotto cake which was so cheesy and tasty. The beef rib was tender and saucy, the fries were cooked perfectly and the creme brulee dessert was so vanilla-y it was insane. A little on the pricey side but it is a ten minute walk from Zion. Staff were super nice throughout.

My daughter and I had a lovely thanksgiving lunch here. We started with the Brie appetizer which was good although I could’ve used more cheese and chutney. The sage pasta purses were very good and the duck dish was excellent. We finished our meal with some delicious pecan pie and ice cream. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. Make reservations in advance.

Excellent food and Service! Went for dinner after our hike... from the excellent receptionist till we left our experience was superb, Food was delicious and in a very good portion, past and salmon were very very good. Our server was outstanding too, and when the check came, it was so worth it, highly recommended if you need to fill up good food after a long day!

Our dinner experience here was all around fantastic and our best meal in Zion. The brie cheese and chutney starter was delicious and our entrees were wonderful, as well. The pesto pasta was incredibly prepared and purses with sage butter were so unique. Being from New York, we are picky about pasta, and this place did not disappoint! Our server was also excellent; she was so generous as to even draw a map for us to one of our planned hikes the next morning! Go here!!!

BEST place to eat in Springdale!! One of my favorite meals when visiting Zion was most definitely at the Spotted Dog Cafe. The service was outstanding, dishes were fresh and had amazing flavor, and the views from the outside patio where I was seated were gorgeous. The lemon cake was also hands down one of my FAVORITE desserts I've ever had. If you're thinking of eating here, 10/10 recommend this amazing dining experience!!

We had a very good meal here after a day of hiking and biking in Zion Canyon. The trout was really excellent. Cocktails likewise very nice. They did a great job of accommodating picky kids. The “chutney” on the brie was really just marmalade, and the gnocchi were way too dense and heavy, but otherwise an excellent meal.Kid-friendliness: Very accommodating of picky kids.

A great restaurant with unbeatable views. If you elect to sit outdoors, you’re greeted by the incredible mountains that make up Zion National Park. Our server was particularly awesome, giving us his true and genuine recommendations (as opposed to just pointing out the most expensive item on the menu) and keeping the kitchen open an additional few minutes so we could get some dessert. 10/10 would recommend!

This place was very good! We had reservations for 5:30 and got seated right away. The place was pretty empty around this time. The waiters were friendly and the service was fast. They had plenty of water to stay hydrated after a long day of hiking. We got the pesto pasta, meatloaf, purse pasta, lamb, and halibut. It was all very flavorful with large portions for a good price. Overall love this place will be back!!

The food here is fantastic. The service (our waiter was Ramiro) is outstanding. I had the pasta filled with ricotta and brown sage butter and it was delicious. My daughter had the forage vegetarian dish and it too was amazing. We shared the chocolate cake for dessert. Ramiro was helpful in choosing the dishes and the wines! The service was simply impeccable. Will be back!

We loved the breakfast buffet! Fresh and delicious eggs, potatoes, bacon and sausage. The fruit was fresh and ripe. French toast was so yummy. My kids loved the patries, muffins and making parfaits. The price was excellent. $12.99 for adults and $8.99 for children. The waitress was very friendly. Very clean and beautiful restaurant. Within walking distance of Zions National Park. Great views from restaurant.

Very long wait, over an hour! I actually almost left but the aroma lured me in. After waiting for over an hour I’d say it was definitely worth it. I ordered the bbq beef short ribs and my wife the lamb chops. I recommend both. The staff was super friendly and patient with my two year old too.All in all it was a good experience. Oh the wait was long likely because of the live music concert down the street. More people were in town. You’re right, you don’t deserve 3 stars. 4 seems fair.
