Traci and her store, Traci's Parrots 4 U, are fabulous! We're so fortunate and so grateful to have such a wonderful parrot store here in Utah!We bought two baby parrots from Traci in 2020 (one in January and one in June) and they've been wonderful companions :D (It's 8/22 as I write this. ) They're very healthy and well adjusted. We've fed them the pellets and chop Traci recommends and sells. From researching, they're very high quality. We're sure part of why they're so beautiful and healthy is because of the excellent food.We LOVE Traci and her staff! They were so welcoming when we started coming into the store for a few months even before we knew what kind of parrot we wanted. We stopped by regularly to see the babies they had, to ask the staff questions and to look around. When our babies were born we were welcome to visit them daily if we wanted.We've bought several cages and an aviary from Traci's (Kings & A&E brands). They're very high quality and we're very pleased with all of them.We've also bought several trees, MANY perches and MANY toys from Traci's. She sells excellent products.Traci has also been a lifeline any time we have concerns or are in a panic about something with our birds! We're just beyond grateful for all she's done for us!!Thanks Traci and all the staff at Traci's!

Cutest bird shop ever. All the employees are very knowledgeable and can tell they love the birds too. We boarded our bird during a long week trip and they were amazing. They sent pictures regularly and really cared for my cockatiel.

The employees are all so knowledgeable and fun to talk to. They care about all the birds like their own. All of the birds are so healthy and in good size cages as well. It’s such a fun experience and it’s always clean! I absolutely love coming here!! There’s always promotions going on, and they’re encouraging of good care. Traci’s birds are in the store right now and they’re so fun and interactive! If you want to purchase a bird, I’d suggest going through Traci’s!

I will never support or suggest anyone go here for a bird. The prices are just on par with competitors. The policies around the birds are ridiculous. We have had a bird for over a year and nothing but problems. We have tried everything and even contacted Traci about our issues and she is not any help. She reassured us that in a calm home he would be a relatively quiet breed and normally sweet but he's absolutely awful. We are not allowed to re-sell, cannot refund, cannot exchange or anything. I can't imagine a less customer oriented practice. PLEASE AVOID SPENDING THOUSANDS HERE! We spent $6,000 on a bird that is a curse. We have tried everything to help but are left no options. This is over a year and a half now.

We have been big supporters of Traci's parrots since we first walked in there in 2020 to buy supplies for our rescue bird. With the passing of our first bird we decided to purchase another from Traci's and with the help of their staff we picked the sweetest African Red Bellied Parrot. Every time we went into the store the staff was incredibly helpful-- We mostly worked with Kayli and Kelsi both answered all of our questions before and after we brought our bird home. Traci's staff makes it easy to purchase what you need for your sweet feathered friend. They take incredible care of the birds there and it is so much fun to go in and see them. I honestly cannot say enough good things about this place and their employees.

I love tracis! I’ve been coming here for about a year and a half! The store is very clean, and I’m always gaining new information whenever I come for fun or am working :) I have gotten 3 birds from tracis now and love them all very much! Never had any issues and the supplies such as toys or perches always seem to be stocked up and I have a wide selection to choose from! Def recommend tracis to new or existing bird owner :)

Traci does an Amazing job guiding her customers (I am one of them) through the difficulties of becoming a Bird Parent!!!!I drive 2 1/2 hours from Idaho just to visit her store. Love It!!!! ❤️***21 Sept. 2020*** Traci’s customer service, caring, and compassion just continues to shine and excel. Traci keeps helping me learn and grown in knowledge. I got the sweetest little sun-cheek conure from Traci’s about 2 weeks ago. The store is clean and fun and full of beautiful birds. The staff is all very knowledgeable and I ended up getting a different bird than I went in for due to their recommendations. Traci was there and SO helpful and you can tell that she truly cares about all the birds and about making sure their new families are equipped to give them the best life possible. If you’re looking for cheap, don’t go here. But you pay for what you get, and I’d rather my bird be hand-raised by the staff here than by some random person on KSL 😂 I would recommend Traci’s for anyone looking for a new bird baby! Great experience.

I bought my first bird, an Indian Ringneck from Traci in 2018. I struggled with the bird for quite a while, she just has an honory, sassy personality that was tough to deal with, but after much advice from Traci and some growing up on her part, she is a wonderful bird that I love very much. I bought my second Indian Ringneck from Traci in 2022. It is the polar opposite of the first bird in terms of personality, but still has some unique things about it that I have to ask Traci and the employees about. The sweet little monkey loves to gobble its food and has given us a scare more than once with getting food stuck in its digestive system and needing some emergency care. It has a bad habit of doing so after the avian vets have closed for the day, but I’m able to contact the store and get helpful advice how to provide at-home remedies to help the bird. Traci herself will follow up with me via text for a day or two to be sure the bird isn’t having any more problems. Every interaction with Traci and her staff is positive and every employee is very knowledgeable about birds and how to raise them to be happy, healthy little companions.

Came in asking for a specific product, employee wrapped up a bottle in a bag, told me it was what I asked for and charged me. When I took the bag home and opened it - it was an entirely different product with an entirely different purpose. I tried to take it back and return it unused and unopened for a refund and the refused to give me one. (edit to add: I am for sure not confusing the store, but I understand the owner here deflects any negative review lol)

Was able to get a healthy baby cockatiel through these guys, she is a joy to have, is hand raised and very sweet! The employees were very helpful with answering any concerns or questions I had about her care and were always very helpful whenever I went to visit the birds while waiting for my tiel to be weaned. I would recommend buying a bird from them if you're looking for a nice little feathered friend to add to your family!

As an experienced bird compainion and dealing with alot of pet stores and bird breeders thru the years, there is no place like Traci's. The staff is incredible, helpful and non judgemental if you don't know, they are always happy to explain and help you find the joy in having a lifelong companion. They are there not just for the us but your fids too. Thank you Traci and George for all that you do.

The associate I spoke with today was not very knowledgeable and said they would reach out to their manager about some of the questions we had but never did. She said that one of their parrots (blue hyacinth macaw) the rarest type of macaw, which is untrue and misinforming. The specific bird lunged at me while I was standing near the cage. She snapped at me and told me not to put fingers in the cage even though my fingers were not in the cage. I feel that with the proper care and socialization this would not be an issue. She was very rude and sullied normally pleasant experience to this store.Edit: I was unaware that she reached out and am glad she did. She did not tell us she got a response from management. Thank you for looking into this. I don’t know why but she also mentioned that your bird is for sale for $20,000

I drive clear down from Logan to go to Traci’s. She is very knowledgeable and they have all kinds of amazing items for your birds. They also have a vet service that comes out and will do general health visits and DNA testing. I also have a Jenday Conure I bought from Traci. He is the sweetest and most amazing companion. I will never go anywhere else for my bird needs!!

Over all they are the best pet store to find a the perfect bird for you. We have yet to get one ourselves but we will definitely be going through them when we want to get one. The birds look amazing and the owner was so nice to us and made it a wonderful experience. We can’t wait to come back.

I came in today to look for bird food, toys, and check out brands.. But honestly, I wish I had seen this place in it's hay day. It seemed to be out of everything.. Even the bulk pellets they were only selling.. I've never seen a bird store with so little options for birds. They didn't have the crushed walnut litter either. Just cages everywhere. Staff was friendly and it was very clean. Just not what I was expecting from an only bird store, store.

***Edit***It is not what it once was—overpriced items. When we were last there, there were so many birds, and I hope they are all finding homes quickly.We went in for routine grooming more recently, and they seemed to do very little, if anything at all, of what we asked for. All our birds were still mostly flighted when we got home, and hardly any feathers were clipped like they chose only 2 to clip in total. Nails were still overgrown and still very sharp. The last few times we've gone in, some employees were not very pleasant or kind and made judgy comments from the little conversation about our birds.***The response to this review was unkind and weirdly personal, bringing up stuff about me that was also inaccurate. 😅I hadn't seen Traci the last few times we've gone, and maybe that's why we had a bad experience.The unprofessional response to this review shows me who the owners are, and I honestly don’t care to go back again to reconsider my review.

Great bird store, for birds, food, supplies, toys, you name it! Lol. The lady who owns the store, we got our Sun Conure from her. They hand feed and hand raise the birds there. She's AMAZING with any type of bird! They also can do a gender test for you there to find out the gender of the bird if you'd like. (Costs $$)

This place is very nice! The staff is very knowledgeable and very willing to answer any questions you may have. Also the birds they have are beautiful. The reason why I am not getting the full five stars is the traumatic experience my wife and I went through. We have been visiting this place for a couple of months scooping out prices and a bird we would like (they offer very acceptable prices for baby parrots in my opinion). Anyway, we came to the conclusion we wanted to buy a Sun Conure as we had one before from a different place that died unexpectedly. After talking to the staff about our concerns and with their help answering our several questions we decided to save up for the next few months so we could buy an available Sun Conure. When the day came to pick up our bird, it was a hot evening (it was the end of July) and we were worried about the heat in our car as our AC did not blow cool air. We voiced our concern to the staff saying we also had a bit of a drive and some cool water we could try to offer. They said it would not be much of a problem. However, I think a lack of understanding for both parties (they not understanding our AC issue and us not understanding heat tolerances for the bird) resulting in the bird dying of a heat stroke before we were even able to get home. We went back the next day when the store first opened and told them what happen. The staff, and the owners, were empathetic to our devastation, as it was apparently the first time something like this had happened, and worked with us for a long time in order to find a compromise out of the situation. The owners said they could not offer monetary compensation for the bird, but we did manage to compromise taking home a Green-Cheeked Conure as they had no other Sun Conures to offer. This was a lose-lose situation for both parties as the owners were willing to take a financial hit to offer us a new bird, while we took a hit having our desired bird die and taking home a bird that was not our first choice. However, the little guy is home safe and we love him a lot already, and we are extremely grateful to the owners for their patience, understanding, and compromise. Although we had a rough experience, we have gratitude for this store and hope to continue to work with them as our new fid (feathered kid) grows. I recommend them if you are interested in getting a new, well adjusted, baby bird in your life.*A note to the owners if they read this: Thank you for everything you did for us that day. We appreciate you not throwing our emotions aside or blaming us, and giving your support to us by trusting us with another of your babies. I do have a couple of suggestions that I thought of during this experience I would like to share that may help for the future. First, before the bird even leaves the parking lot, have an employee ensure the vehicle in which the bird will be traveling is in satisfactory condition so the bird will make it home (I think I overheard this being implemented, which is fantastic). Second, I believe you should add two, maybe three, more pages to the document you give to those who purchased a bird. One of the pages should include information on the ideal temperature range at which these parrots thrive and what can happen to them if they experience environments that are too hot or too cold. Another page should include a list of exotic bird veterinarians and any emergency hospitals that accept exotic birds around the Salt Lake area. If we knew who we could have called or where to go during our emergency situation, we may have been able to help the Sun Conure a little faster. Lastly, I think adding a "Worst Case Scenario" page might be helpful for the future. This would include what steps we need to take as the pet owner if the parrot dies unexpectedly. We were unaware of necropsies or how to properly store the bird or where to go in order to get the procedure done. This information may be helpful in case there is another incident like the one we had.Thanks again for all that you did for us! We hope nothing but the best for your store!

Everyone at Traci's is absolutely wonderful. They answer any questions you may have about your feathered babies and also help you when you're ready to become a feathered baby parent. And they never push anyone into buying anything...ever. Traci herself even helped us with a bird we didn't get from her.

Listen, for being one of the only bird specialty stores in the area, Traci's gets three stars. That being said, it's pretty clear that Traci's main objective is the money, not the well-being of the birds. Large birds are kept in small cages, the prices are insanely high for the birds and toys, and a lot of the toys they sell aren't actually safe for your birds. Pro tip, if a toy has rope or string on it, it's a choking hazard. If you wouldn't give it to a baby, don't give it to your bird.That being said, they do have a wide selection of bird cages available for all different sizes of birds and ranging in quality. The prices on the cages are fair.Honestly, talking to the staff is my favorite reason to go to Traci's. It's fun swapping bird stories with other bird people and sharing tips and tricks for bird care...as long as you don't ask Traci herself. She's more concerned with selling her brand of bird pellets, which are about as healthy as giving your bird nothing but treats as their main diet and aren't even FDA approved, then she is about hearing your bird experiences. And don't even think about telling her you don't have your first bird yet.

We recently purchased a bird from here. The staff is very knowledgeable and although I had a breed in mind when I went in I discovered by talking to staff that maybe another breed better fits us. Our bird is perfect and is everything we wanted and more. When it came time for us to take the bird home the staff was not pushy on selling additional items and answered all my questions. We are very happy with this place and we will be back.UPDATE- we went back and things didn’t go as well as the first. We won’t be back and won’t be referring to anyone.

I haven’t purchased a bird here yet, but I’ll likely do so. I have high standards, so I know it’s hard for a business to please me. I’ve dealt with messaging the owner via Google and I’ve gone in twice now. As other people have stated the support and education are tops. I did purchase some toys and food and just yesterday a cage. I’ll need to return the cage, but I’m not anticipating any issues there. The tidiness and cleanliness of the store is an indicator to me how the birds are treated behind the scenes and when the store closes.

I’m not usually one to write a review but I wanted to express how impressed I am with Traci and her staff. Everyone is always friendly and welcoming, the store is always clean and the birds are cared for in a loving manor. Once you come in and meet Traci you’ll know your dealing with someone that’s honest and in the business for her love of the birds not just trying to get your money. She is always available to answer your questions and concerns. I bought my first parrot at a local pet store four years ago and although I love her very much the experience was the opposite of mine with Traci’s. I will now ONLY buy my birds their supplies & accessories at Traci’s! So if your looking for something more then your average pet store that’s just trying to make ANY sell to get your money you should give Traci’s Parrots 4 U a try you will not be disappointed!!
