First time here and it was fantastic overall. The building is really unique and full of interesting design components. The roof top pool experience was beautiful. My only complaint was the check in process. The associate made it really confusing and didn't explain the amenities and services very well. Also, more pillow variety in the rooms would be appreciated!

I stayed in the Cliff for a week of skiing at Snowbird recently. The lodge was great, except for one pretty glaring issue — an incessant, and very loud humming that cycled on and off every few minutes throughout every single room due to the hot tubs on the balconies.I was able to measure this sound at over 48 dB, and somewhere around 30x the level of the background noise. If another guest was playing music this loudly, just as an example, I have no doubt someone would be asking them to turn it down within 5~10 minutes. Imagine trying to sleep in a an electrical or machine room, and you’ll get an idea of the level of noise.Obviously this is going to bother some people more than others, but half way through my week long stay, I was about ready to pack up and drive home just to get away from the constant noise.

While it’s by no means affordable priced, if you can swing it the cliffs is a very convenient ski in ski out location on the mountain. Rooms are updated, limited restraunts are on site and others are a short walk. Ski lockers were super useful and we enjoyed the pool and multiple hot tubs after a long day on the slopes. They charge a steep price for convinince but depending on your budget it maybe well worth it.

I am an owner of a Cliff Club timeshare in the Cliff Lodge. This is the premium lodging at the base of Snowbird with ski in/ski out. The view of the hill is absolutely stunning, and the backside view is also amazing. Not a bad room here. Multiple gyms, excellent ski lockers, good parking or valet, multiple restaurants and bars, ski shop and rentals. My wife loves the spa and pool/hot tub on the roof. There is a larger pool for the kids on the back patio. This is an excellent place to stay. Summer is also fun with many events and great mountain biking from the mountaintop off the gondola. Cliff Lodge units are to the East and are like hotel rooms. The West wing is the Cliff Club Timeshares. These are 1,5-1,600 sf suites, two masters with a kitchen/ living room in the middle. The Cliff Club units may be rented through Cliff Lodge, but they are pricy. A dining tip: go to the top floor Aerie lounge for drinks or appetizers, or the restaurant for an excellent dinner, but go early. The view of the raw mountain before sundown is captivating. Amazing. The place is rarely crowded before sunset as most guests show up after dark, when the view is gone.

NOT GOOD TO LOCALS! We were so excited to visit The Cliff Lodge for a staycation. The road closed and we could not get to the hotel. We asked for a refund which they refused, but worse, they would not even give us the option to change the date even though we could not get to the hotel. They basically stole $650 from local folks. Not good business. Not a good community partner. Would not recommend.

I have been going to Snowbird and staying at the Cliff Lodge for 30 years. I think I have stayed 9-10 times, usually for 5-7 days. My last visit, in late January, will be my last. Here is why:1. I know the hotel well and the rooms. Somewhat dated (built 50 years ago) but actually not bad and very unique architecture. Big rooms, hooks for ski clothes, absolutely fine. And Snowbird is absolutely one of my favorite mountains in Utah, and the world.2. The level of service is below that of many Holiday Inns. From the front desk to the concierge to the restaurants it's as if their people have no training. I understand it is hard to get good people but that does not absolve you of your need to train and monitor them properly. Examples:a. Checking in, I was dealing with the ski concierge (downstairs) Girlfriend (with my credit card) goes to check in and is met with "I'm sorry I can only deal with the cardholder". Well, he's right downstairs, here is his card, he'll be right up in minutes, I understand you might want to verify this before handing me the keys but can't you begin the process? "No". Also, no acknowledgement that I was a recurring guest who had been there many times before (I contrast this to hotels in Europe where the front desk greets you by name and the bartender remembers what you drink).b. Checking out, interrupting girl surfing on her phone, "I'd like to check out, room 714. Girl "OK". No "how was your stay", no " was everything satisfactory, nada. Zilch. Pathetic.c. Asked for a late checkout - "no". Not, "let me look Mr. Shipman, oh, I'm so sorry we have a very large group arriving and we need the room." Just - "no". And the maids were literally instructed to bang on the door at 11! And according to the maid they were 1/3 full and not expecting to be full. Just weird in my book.c. The setup at Snowbird is there are 4 restaurants. The fancy one, at the top of the Cliff Lodge, has food about the equivalent of dining in a hotel restaurant in a Marriott in Omaha. Bland, pre-cooked and uninspiring. Walking to the desk for my reservation 3 people. One on the phone, 2 talking to one another. I stood there, pleasant look on my face, for more than a minute (I checked my watch) before saying "excuse me" at which point the woman on the phone said "just a minute" while the other 2 kept talking to one another. Just acknowledge that I'm there and you see me. Again, no training.The restaurant on the ground level, Seventy One, is inferior to an Applebees and serves frozen pizza with the cheese unmelted even after asking for it to be reheated. It's not that hard to make good pizza. It's really easy. Nothing was fresh nothing was good. Whoever is managing these restaurants may have "experience" from a fast-casual type establishment but for crying out loud hire a real chef. Let a pizza guy from SLC open a second location with a break on the rent. Anything but this.The Steak Pit is my favorite, but even there the meat was not even close to a prime steakhouse and the baked potato, on both visits, was lukewarm to cold.The online reviews for the Wildflower were so bad my girlfriend wouldn't go so I don't know.3. In the years before this, I would get a great rate - $400 or $500 with two free lift tickets bringing the price down to $200 or $300 which is right for what it is. This time I paid >$750 a night with no lift tickets. Maybe I just missed the deal but absolutely overpriced, and the fact that the hotel was 1/3 full the day we checked out tells me others have figured it out. Because this is ski in and ski out at SNOWBIRD for crying out loud. This place, well managed, shouldn't have an empty room January-March. Oh well now I know.

Alexis and the team are amazing. Had a difficult situation arise and they went above and beyond. Property is also incredible and we’ve made a lot of great family memories there (and more to come).

I HIGHLY recommend using the Cliff Lodge at Snowbird for your upcoming wedding. There are multiple venue spaces at the Cliff Lodge but for our recent September wedding, we used the Magpie Terrace and Golden Cliff for our ceremony and reception, and we could not have been happier with our choice. The venue space and location are gorgeous with breathtaking mountain views and tall pillars, and the size was just right for our wedding which had a guest count of 90 people. There are lots of options for modifying your venue space and menu, many of which I was surprised did not incur additional fees. The food and beverage minimums were reasonable compared to other ski resort venues, and the food quality was out of this world! All my guests were raving about how incredible the food was!For logistics, I worked with Amanda (sales), Dustin (event coordinator), and Craig (lodging coordinator). Likely you will deal with Amanda first upon booking the venue space and she is very communicative. Dustin will be the one who will be coordinating the event prior to and on your wedding day. He is extremely professional, and I felt at ease knowing my wedding day logistics rested in his capable hands. He can sometimes take a little bit to respond to emails, but rest assured he is dedicated to making sure your event goes off without a hitch and he will address all of your inquiries in his thorough responses.I felt well taken care of by all the staff at the Cliff Lodge. Thank you so much to Dustin and all the staff at the Cliff Lodge for making sure we had the best day of our lives!

This was an amazing stay in the Fall. Beautiful colors, perfect temperature. The rooms were clean and well kept. All of the staff are incredibly helpful and kind. The only negative is the rooms seem to pick up noise from rooms around you, specifically the ones that have adjoining doors. Otherwise, it was perfect!The Seventy One restaurant was lovely as well, with great food, view, and decently priced.

This is a good hotel to stay it if you are going to ski at snowbird. The hotel itself is somewhat boring. They have a few pools and hot tubs. There is not much of a night life up here. The hotel is made of concrete and has wood accents, it kind of reminds me of a Soviet built hotel in the mountains. The rooftop pool access requires a spa pass which costs money. The other pool is included in the price. In the summer there are lots of outdoor activities.

Stayed here due to a conference I was at. Staff was very nice and friendly. Floor selection is made outside of the elevators and then it indicates which elevator you take. The restaurants were expensive - especially the Aerie. The room was spacious. Bed was comfortable. Shower pressure was good. The thermostat in the room must be broken as I set it for 72°F, and the room was well over 75°F so I had to put the a/c on. Keurig in the room didn't work so they brought another one. However, either the coffee pods they give you are the wrong size or the machine wasn't working correctly as it spit out coffee grounds and left a lot of grounds in my coffee - so much so that I dumped it out and never tried the machine again. The safe in the room wasn't working. Told them but am guessing its involved to fix a it was never able to be used. Conference rooms were will equipped and not too cold. There is a spa available with hot tub and workout room. However, there is a charge to use the workout room that's co-located with the spa. I heard from other conference attendees that the spa was nice. There's a second very small workout room that you don't get charged to use. There are hiking trails to enjoy.

Booked six months in advanced and didn’t get the reserved room with our wedding block group.We were put in a handicap room suite where the closets weren’t tall enough to hang my bridesmaid gown and the shower didn’t have a tub, and also flooded over after five minutes in the shower.Would not honor my request for early checkin, and I was forced to pay for another room for my four small children, two under 5 years old, one under one!… costing us double what we were expecting.We’re not accommodating or understanding and had no explanation or remedy for moving our room to one that was with our block.Did not allow us to check out late either.

Overall, not the best experience. The parking was disorganized so we opted to valet...but that was almost as bad. The restaurants are unbelievably short staffed and poorly managed. No waters in the room (small thing but always appreciated), and then they couldn't accommodate a "late checkout" of 12pm. All in all, the hotel is fine but they miss all the small things, are disorganized and the service is lacking.

Rooms are nice, but some of the furniture is very beat up. Staff is amazing and so are the amenities. We have been an owner for over 20yrs and will keep going back.Rooms: Nice rooms with amenities and some of the furniture was beat up. But the private hot tubs are nice.Nearby activities: Skiing, hiking, clubs, dining, sightseeing, trams, trails, swimming, hot tubbing, valet,..etc.Safety: Well lighted walk waysWalkability: Walk anywhere in the resort within 10 minutes.Food & drinks: Great food options..

The room service ends around 2100-2130 which is EXTREMELY inconvenient if you are enjoying the late night amenities that run until 2100-2200. The fact I have to drive back into town when I’m trying to experience a get away is a little annoying (or tipsy and wanting to avoid a drive. If I want to pay 25$ for a cheeseburger just to continue lying on my bed, I should be allowed so). The service is amazing, the amenities are amazing.. the food on site is over priced for sub par food..I feel like this experience (aside from the amazing staff) was comparable to any other hotel.

From the moment we checked we felt right at home. Our front desk was Katrina , she checked us in and explained everything 100% Daniel in the 71 Restuarant was very attentive , the gentleman in the gift store on by the elevator was also helpful and waived each time we walked by. Oktoberfest is fun when you have a room to go back to and enjoy the 3 hot tubs and saunas just be ready to party and talk to strangers. I'm sure this is even more cozy snowboarding and enjoying the white fluff at Bird. 5 stars. Dont forget to buy a magnet in the gift shop. Tell em Rad sent ya!

The time I spent here was far nicer than I've ever experienced. From the amenities, to the adults only pools, to the restaurants, and the Hiking... Ugh, the Hiking was amazing. The views were breathtaking!!! If anyone is looking at coming here for a stay, I'd highly recommend it!The only downside is the kids. There were a ton... And I mean a metric ton of constantly screaming kids.

A very nice (& quiet) room overlooking a pine tree cluster. Peeks of fall foliage, but nothing like so much of what I captured from hiking. Striking out from the front of the hotel, and heading to the observation deck on the paved trail~ stunning!Enjoyed the "Eucalyptus" shower & shampoo products. The towels appeared to be brand new, but felt and smelled as though they hand not been laundered before being put out for use. The bed was quite comfortable, bedding seemed fresh, but there was a large (1/4"-1/2" rectangle) cookie crumb in the bed. Near my calf & ankle. Not a great feeling, puzzling how and why it is there. Very clean unit. All employees very helpful, and professional. Would stay again! Be sure to try the restaurants, we had a great evening meal!

Snowbird is amazing, Cliff Lodge is amazing but when you ask for a luggage cart and they ask what room number you have and they say sorry carts are only for time share members. Seems a bit odd, since I can get a luggage cart at motel 6. We stayed there an entire week so we had to lug 6 rounds of luggage. Also the parking 300-500 yards away from the hotel. The A/V staff was fantastic. The room cleaner was amazing. The valet and desk staff could use some training or you need to buy some luggage carts!Food & drinks: Not a lot of choices in the summer. $26 hamburgers.
