Could not have had a better experience shopping at Ace today. I was needing some help buying screws and nuts to mount a fish finder I had just bought to an ice fishing setup.Jeff, the manager at this store, not only walked me through what kind of screws I would need but helped me set the entire thing up and drill holes for me.Didn’t have to give me 1/2 as much help as he did, but did it anyways! Great people here!

Very helpful - took knifes in for sharpening. Whole block done in 25 min. and under $75. Few limitations (no serrated) but my never professionally sharpened 18 yr old knife set is like new again. Staff was very helpful, visited away while they sharpened. Highly recommend!

This is my local hardware store and they are always the best. I walk in and I’m greeted with a smile and a how I can help you every single time and I’m always happy with the service and the inventory. They generally have everything I need.

I normally don't bother eith reviews, but I think this event is special. My husband and I liked in the ace hardware website for a couple of Items . It said that The smithfield store had what we needed in stock for a certain price, We went to the store to find out the Had the wrong price and we showed the cashier what the website said... His response was I don't Know what to tell you. He had the same response for an elderly lady looking for something. Hiring youth needs extra training, we will no longer be going back to this store.

I've only had pleasant experiences at this store since the day it opened. Employees have always been friendly, helpful, know where everything is, how to search for things on their online store and can always find answers to my questions. Very clean, organized store. Not a huge variety but they always have the basics as well as lots of low priced, novelty/out of the ordinary items that makes walking through the store worth it. I find the funnest gifts here!Please like if this review was helpful.

The staff is great, but the merchandise is awful. They charge around $3 for individual screws, bolts and nuts that are such poor quality that they may as well be made out of plastic. If you are doing construction, be prepared to have screws snap. If you are doing anything with hardwood, be ready for stripped heads.

I went in last Saturday afternoon to get some licence plates bolts for my SUV. I needed some odd sizes, and couldn't find anything that worked. One of the associates spent about 30 minutes, helping me find what I needed. This included several trips out to my vehicle, and finally using a tool to cut new threads, so that one of the bolts would work. These guys are beyond helpful and friendly. You'll never see this level of service at Lowe's or Home Depot. Ace Hardware has earned my business!

I went here on the 4th of July and was surprised at how may associates they had. It was easy to find some help. I was able to find most of the things I needed. They didn't have any of the twist lock 220 outlets but they had all the ends to make the cords I needed. They could order it in but I was in a hurry. The one associate helped me find everything I needed. I really like the locally owned ace stores and will continue to shop them when I can.

Picked up an air compressor I found was in stock when I checked online. Big brownie points for that actually being in store. Was welcomed warmly and the gentleman who helped me find the compressor was so helpful and kind and made sure it was what I was looking for and that another battery I had worked with it. It was the kind of service that could brighten any day and it certainly did mine.

I went in looking for a topper for my trailer home. Where swamp cooler is. I went to see if they had something to put on top of it something flat or something around and a gentleman says here let's go look at the salad bowls maybe that will work on putting a cover on it.??

Have recently stopped shopping there due to having a person pounce on us the second we walk in the store. It's nice to have someone ask if we need help, but to have a person stuck at our side, holding our hands the entire time is too much. If I'm asked if I need help finding anything and I reply "no thanks" then leave me to find my items. Don't follow me, don't stand there while I peruse the shelves like I'm a theif. If I am unable to find what i want i will come find someone.

Got a Styhl Weed Eater an Jason filled it, got it started, was through with explaination to my son how to run, very helpful an freindly. Kudos to Jason. Sure wont get that services from Lowes or Home Depot. Or any (Big Box) store. Highly recomend Ace Hardware in Smithfeild if your after great customer service an good price

I've been a customer of Ace hardware in Smithfield for quite a while. Last weekend I was in Ogden helping my sister in-law get her house ready to sell. Instead of driving 5 more minutes to a Home Depot I opted to stop at an Ace Hardware and get the things I needed. Once we were done it was late so I drove back home in cache valley. I ended up buying a paint roller extension that we ended up not needing. Today I took it to Ace Hardware in Smithfield and they wouldn't take it as a return. I find this very frustrating. If you're going to compete with the big box stores don't piss your customers off over a $30 item. In the future I will drive an extra 50 miles to a big box store and no longer support Lee's or Ace hardware.STEVE.....
