We love stopping here on our way to Saint George! It's a free petting zoo, but I highly recommend donating as they put so much work into this each year! The animals are all very well taken care of. You also have an option to feed certain animals too for $1 dollar you can get a carrot or dried food. PSA: Watch out for the Ostriches they will snatch the food right off your hand.. haha

Go! This was worth the quick stop. It is across from a busy gas station right off the Interstate. Bigger, cleaner and with more animals than expected. The attendant was chill, informative and friendly. Left a great donation because this place should never close. Unique animals like camel and zonkey.

This place is amazing! The staff was so nice and the animals were so cute! I definitely want to go back someday! I wish I could have gotten closer to the Camel and the Emu though! I'll make sure to tip every time I go because it's worth it. They should charge to enter but it's free!

This petting zoo was a great surprise! Our children loved petting rabbits, goats, and lambs. It was very interesting to see zonkeys, llamas, alpacas, emu, and a camel. The camel's name is Wednesday. The atmosphere is laid back and friendly and they accept donations from patrons rather than having a set ticket price.

Very nice staff who are excited to teach children and travelers about animals. Many of the animals have been abadoned and then rescued by the zoo staff. My kids loved this place. Its free and makes a nice stop on road trips for stretching your legs. Currently the zoo hands out pet food for free to those who want to feed the goats, rabbits and sheep. They have a 24 pound Flemish rabbit that is very gentle and let my kids pet it for much longer than I expected.

The staff here was over the top friendly which is way nice for a quick pit stop. Small but awesome place to see a variety of animals and pet them. There were baby goats the time we visited that were so cute. Their rabbits are huge! And a camels as well as some zonkeys. You'll just have to check them out to know.

Roadside America's fantastic website led me to this wee gem. Husband & I stopped for gas here on our roadtrip across Utah--I was disappointed to see a "Closed" sign on the gates for the zoo, but the keeper was kind enough to allow me in anyway! He explained all his animals, their names, and his affection for them all was clear. What a charming place! A lovely visit for sure!

My husband stops here lots of times for gas, and we finally stopped by the petting zoo on the way on our road trip. Very nice people, caring for the animals. The place is free entrance, just pay donation if you want.

Fun place for kids. Electric charging along with regular gasoline fill up. Used to stop in beaver on my way down south but I stop here instead and pass beaver.

You will love the Scipio Petting Zoo, it was such a fun surprise mid travels! This was our first stop here, and we will make sure to stop again. The animals were very well taken care of, with animals from alpacas, to Rabbits. We saw 15 different varieties of animals and were able to pet a few that were friendly. The staff was nice and answered our questions telling us the animals names and interesting details about them.

This is such a cool place and a fun idea. Come pet goats and bunnies. You can sometimes feed the animals too. Come see animals you wouldn't normally see, all for free!

This was so fun and much more than expected. There was an attendant in the petting zoo who was very friendly and knowledgeable about the animals. I learned something I didn't know before! He came up to us and asked "Who is brave?" The brave person got a handful of food for the camel. I saw that this was the routine for each new group of people he greeted. You could tell he really enjoyed interacting with the public and taking care of the animals. The animals were well taken care of and seemed happy to interact with the public. I will definitely make this a part of my trip again when heading to southern Utah with or without the grandkids!

Don't know how we have missed this place on all our trips past Scipio. They had lots more than we thought! Bunnies, goats, sheep, peacocks, chickens, llamas, mini bulls and mini horses, tortoises, a camel and zonkeys! (Zebra donkeys.. so cool!) It was totally free. They do have a donations box if you would like and a map to put a sticker where you are from! The bunnies and goats and sheep you can walk into the pens and pet. Such a great stop on a long road trip!

It's not every day where toy can find a petting zoo with truck parking. Conveniently placed next to the Flying J truck stop. Coolest thing I've seen in a while

We love visiting this petting zoo. They have a good variety of animals-camel, emus, ostriches, zonkeys, llamas, alpacas, and my kids' favorite: highland cows. We love that you can buy carrots and cones of animal feed to give the animals. My boys loved being in the goat and sheep pen and interacting with them. This is always a fun place to stop.

Stumbled across this place on our way south from salt lake city. Little place that you would barely notice. Has tons of animals that are friendly and you can feed some of them. The location is clean and the animals seem well cared for. The attendant was awesome with his information and friendly. 10/10 worth the stop! Great place to stretch your legs and meet some awesome animals. No cost to see the animals but has a donation box out front to support the animals. Feed was 50 cents for a small bag that goes a long way.
