I'm quite impressed with this hotel. I'm glad I skipped the super 8 lol. I plan on traveling in the future every year heading south for the winter, I'll be sure to make Scipio Hotel one of my stops every time. Very clean. Large Rooms, very spacious hotel in general, very friendly and timely service. You guys are doing a great job running this hotel. It's in a great spot too. Right along two major highways with two gas stations next to it. Also appreciate being able to get a room for one person, rather than most hotels forcing an up-sell on a two bedroom for extra cash, I like being able to get an affordable one bedroom hotel stay. For $108 I'd say it's a great deal compared to so many other places.

Checkin for a reservation was smooth and painless. I can’t remember if I checked out or just left the keys in the room in the morning though. Quiet at night but for large truck traffic once in a while. Not a lot of choice in places to eat supper but at least there were 2 fast food joints nearby. Average rooms, average breakfast and I think it was overpriced. I booked directly through their web site too as it had the best price.

Clean bedroom, smelled a little too clean, but appreciated the last minute reservation. $62 online, but came to $160 in person. This was a shock considering the clerk said dogs are a "small fee" on the phone when we called to book. Small fee was $100. She waived it and gave us a pet-friendly room for $89 total. A fine compromise, but also pricy given there were only 3 rooms booked in the whole property and the breakfast was pretty sad.Measley breakfast consisted of powdered creamer and weak coffee, toast, and a basket of cereal bars with a sign that said "take one, limited stock".Good location for a quick stopover en route to SLC, but don't reserve expecting anything fancy or comprehensive. No elevators.Food & drinks: BYO water and breakfast.Noteworthy details: Next to a truck stop so any supplies are available. This walls and could hear the surrounding environment. Must be a pretty old building.

After driving from California for 10 hrs we finally were able to find a place for the night. I want to give the best review possible for the front desk lady she was so nice, so sweet . The hotel was clean and didn't smell like anything other than freshener. The only complaint I have which isn't even a big deal is the carpet it could be updated but overall room was nice and the bed was comfy enough to sleep in (i slept like a rock).

Beware of this hotel if you’re booking after hours. On October 12, 2023 we booked a room after driving for 8 hours and we were exhausted. Paid for the room, money came out of our account, and confirmation was sent to us. We arrived and there was a note on the door saying the property closes after 11 pm and to call the number if we needed assistance. When you call the number, it then tells you they are fully booked and goes straight to voicemail so you can’t contact anyone. We travel constantly and have never run into a hotel that doesn’t have someone working, available to check people in, or handle emergencies. Just curious on how people get back into their rooms if they’re locked out, or if an emergency occurs and they’re met with a voicemail machine. Doesn’t seem right to leave customers at your property with no contact information 🤔 so beware when booking after hours, you’ll be charged but have no way to check in. And if you do book, make sure no emergencies happen in or outside of your room as apparently they leave the property unattended overnight. Definitely not worth $175 a night to have your safety at risk and no person to contact.Safety: Not safe. Property left unattended at night

Wonderful hotel for the price, older furnishings and carpet but very clean and very friendly staff. I couldn’t get over how clean it just smelt when we walked in, and with dogs staying here I was very impressed! We didn’t get to check out the pool area but the free breakfast was just fine, don’t expect a buffet and you won’t be disappointed! Ac worked great, water was hot, and I felt comfortable staying here with my toddler and infant! We love to travel with our pup and although she wasn’t with us this time, we would stay here again in a heart beat and be happy to have the whole family tag along!Rooms: Very clean and quiet, all amenities worked great!Safety: We didn’t feel uncomfortable in the area at all and had a lovely stay

I was so impressed with the service at this hotel! Angela was so helpful and would have carried my bags up to my room if I would have allowed it! I saw her helping a handicapped customer load their bags into their trunk and she was always available and willing to help! She was even washing the windows at 11 pm. This woman is working her tail off! The room was perfect for what we needed, could use some more shampoo and conditioner however!

After driving all day I checked in, took an essential oils/epsom salt bath and settled in. Absolutely LOVED the bed spread and linens. Didn't want to get out of bed, soooo comfy. Felt safe and that's particularly important to me as a single lady. Definitely going to stay here again if not for that out of this world comfortable bed alone!! 💜

Driving from Boise to St. George late at night & got caught up in the snowstorm. The ladies at the Scipio hotel, though busy due to other stoppers, were MORE than accommodating and kind. The hotel was cute & clean, didn’t smell like cleaning solution (which was a huge plus for me), the beds were insanely comfortable, and the room was nice & warm. They accommodated our party of 3 adults, a baby, and a dog by making sure we had enough space for us all, giving us a rollaway bed, and extra blankets. We were so grateful that they were pet friendly. Our experience there was perfect as they made us late-night, weary travelers comfortable and safe for the night.

The staff were friendly and accommodated me for my work situation. My room was clean, included microwave, fridge, cable TV, fast wifi that didn't require a password, and I was able to open my window for fresh air every morning and after work. Free breakfast in the morning included milk, orange juice, toast, cereal, granola bars/poptarts, bananas, fresh pots of coffee, hot water for tea. A good place to stop by if you're tired from driving all day. Thanks again y'all!

I stayed here 3/31/23 for a visit to Capitol Reef. After hiking all day I returned to Scipio , too tired to begin driving back to my home in Jackson WY. I stopped back in the hotel , and was told they would just give me the same room I had the previous night. Done deal , easy breezy. The room was spotless and had everything I need : room was quiet , fridge was cold , water was hot , bed was firm.I will definitely stay here again.

There's an Indian lady walking around asking visitors when r u leaving...why r u harassing visitors. At checkout, the Indian guy was on the phone kept giving me the hush finger when I was trying to talk or ask...ohhh, at check in, it was an automated person from overseas over the screen that took a very long time while I was very tired.Never booking their again...Never booking their again...Just very/ toooo much rudeness. Those Indians should be fired....For the reply...u just want to justify wrong. Why in the world I even say such a random thing while I live in Denver and I drive back from Riverside, CA every now and then. I don't know where r they from, but they look indians to me. Put in ur phone number so I can call you...

We found this hotel while traveling through. We were caught in a late night blizzard and the roads were becoming impassible. The staff was extremely helpful and accommodating, even though I accidentally booked for the wrong time on our app.Traveling through again, we still have fond memories of our safety in the storm from a few years ago.

Very personable and helpful staff! Wonderfully comfortable bed after driving through 4 states. If you look at the outside and drive by, it is your great loss. Very clean, well decorated, and BIG room. Yes, the ice machine was broken, but they went and bought us ice. The best coffee we have had from a hotel in 2 weeks of traveling. Also a very friendly hotel dog changing the stigma of his breed many wags at a time. Parking lot is well lit and ample for cars and vans. If you are a semi or Towing a trailer as we are, there were several options for us. We felt safe using any of the three choices. There is roadside parking in front and parking at the 76 or Texaco fuel stops. Don't judge a book by its cover, it is well worth the stop. ***If you will be arriving after 10 pm, pick up food on the way as all the local eateries close at 10 pm, but that is normal for small towns.

Beware, they do not have a real continental breakfast. They only have coffee, cereal, oatmeal, milk and oj. That's it, no bread (even though they have a toaster on the counter), no pastries, no fruits, nothing else that would make this a real continental breakfast. Considering that the breakfast was what made our decision to come here instead of some other hotel, we were disappointed at what we found.Other than that, the room was nice, mostly clean except for some grime in the bathtub. Beds were comfortable, and the other amenities in the room worked as intended. No coffee maker in the room, but they do have coffee at there ""continental"" breakfast (although that is only available from 7 am to 9:30 am)

We had a wonderful stay. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The price was affordable. The rooms were clean, comfortable and beautiful. The Christmas decorations were fun and festive. Rachael and Raylynn did a detailed job cleaning the rooms and they were kind and helpful. Travis took care of us right away and was very cheerful and informative. Jill was positive and upbeat and made us feel important. We only stayed one night, but I already feel like we have family there. The warm welcome was much needed. My family was especially happy about Travis’ “Cow Dog”. She was so adorable and sweet and she looked like a miniature cow. Dana across the street was also fun and such a sweetheart. We miss Scipio already. We hope to come back again soon. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

I was wanting to stay in Beaver but it was quite a bit more expensive than I thot so I searched on my phone to try and find a place to stay. Fortunately this hotel came up on my list and had decent reviews. I wanted to be closer so I could hike Bryce the next morning but alas, it was not to be.As I drove in a big fat rainbow appeared in the distant mountains. I was pleased with my initial impression of the hotel. It has a very nice lobby/breakfast area and they even had popcorn. I finally got checked in and the room was quite spacious. However, the toilet had a ring in it which is rather distasteful. Also, trash had been left in the waste basket in the room area. The breakfast really wasn't much but I had left over cinnamon roll that I ate and then went over to the Flying J for a large cappuccino.Nonetheless, I was happy to have a nice place to stay for around $100. And instead of hiking Bryce I stopped at the Moqui Cave, something I've always wanted to do.

We arrived super late, around 12:30am. Front desk employee was nice. Our room was good, a little outdated but this was the cheapest hotel we could find really. The lock on our door was broken. Breakfast started at 7. It consisted of coffee, cereal, bread, microwaveable pies. Overall it wasn’t bad, would’ve liked a little more breakfast options since it says free breakfast on the website but overall it was good!
