We've been coming here for over 20 years as Spring-time skiers. Only on a few occasions has the snow not been ideal. It was very good this year, not as epic as last season, but definitely worth being on the mountain. Connecting to Alta via Mineral Basin or via the UTA bus is easy and worthwhile. Food, although pricey, is pretty good around the resort. The staff is always friendly and helpful.

As a New Englander, I was excited to travel to Utah to snowboard there for the first time. We checked out 3 ski resorts on this trip, and Snowbird was the best one in my opinion. The views were absolutely breathtaking, the trails were interesting and challenging, and the vibes were positive!!It is a little more advanced than other mountains in the area, but it's a great place to grow as a rider.

Normally I love snowbird, however one day I was there and no lifts started until noon because of wind hold. Than at 2 pm that lift closed because of lightning. 4 days later I was back and than at 11am most of the lifts stopped because of a power outage . We were stuck riding a 3 place fixed lift for the next few hours, and the lift operator told us this was the only one running. With the line getting huge. We left. Later we found out that the tram was running and there were more lifts running up higher. Not the best experience this time.

We took our family of four (2 adults and 2 little ones, 6 and 9yo) for snowboarding lessons and we had a blast! The instructor was amazing! So much fun!

I have skied here many times. One of favorites. I did manage to crash and burn. Broke may 5th rib, left side. I went to the clinic which is run by the University of Utah. Real docs and an X-ray machine. I have a paralyzed diaphragm so I was concerned that a life threat was eminent. They were also. Great docs. They sent me via ALS transport. Good Paramedics also ( I am one myself). The Ski Patrol is very competent. I met a few of them. Good guys. The next day as my skiing was over, I sat in the restaurant all day drinking Irish Whiskey! They let me stay in a corner table and watch the world go by while my son snowboarded. Such nice people.

Great powder. Just never take the Tram. You’ll wait longer in line for this, than other other lift. Never take the tram if want to hit the powder quick.

Skied here late March 2023. Had an amazing time checking out the tunnel. I love that this place is connected to Alta!

Took my daughters to do the summer activities. Very rough experience for 1 parent with 2 kids. You can’t do anything together. 1 adult can only ride the chair lift with 1 child. They offered to send a staff member with one of my kids but I wasn’t going to do that, I took my kids to spend time with them.So we had to walk the hill each time, which isn’t the end of the world, but my kids are little and it was exhausting for them. So I ended up carrying them, which again isn’t the end of the world, but there is a reason they put in the chair lift. The hill is steep and long.I could ride the tubes with 1 daughter but not both… It was the theme of the day. I didn’t see anywhere on the website that you need 1 parent per child. When I bought my tickets they didn’t give me any heads up.When I went to get a refund they didn’t know how to process my refund. Finally they did, maybe. Supposedly I’ll get an email in the next couple days about the cancellation. Supposedly I’ll get my money back.

The terrain is amazing. If you see it you can ski/ridei it. The weather makes it even more challenging.

The mountain is great for expert skiers and has a ton of amazing steep terrain. I love it for that. But overall, the mountain is only for experts looking for steep and deep.Caution that this mountain needs at least 100 inch base to be able to ski. There are so many rocks buried underneath and the wind always uncovers them. Also not too great for kids due to the steepness and poor layout to get to the bottom. Most of the green runs are just cat tracks. As for the groomers, they are fine, but the mountain has so many cat tracks that cross over right through the middle of a run that you have to always be looking out for them and it breaks your run over and over.

We drove 10 hours from Colorado to finally enjoy some skiing in Snowbird. What a dissapointment.1) Yes, the mountain is for upper intermediate (or above) skiers. But it should be a responsibility of every visitor to check this information in advance. We had and that's why we came. I don't think it is okay to review a ski resort based on the difficulty of slopes.2) The mountain itself is gorgeous - the views are simply amazing.3) Let's get to our experience - it's Saturday, traffic is a bit crazy but honestly, we didn't really care since we are used to the traffic in Colorado. Normally, it's a 20 minute drive, it took us 45 minutes.4) Parking - not sufficient, but check their website and make sure you plan accordingly! The website includes all the information you need. And you can always take the bus. We got lucky and found a spot.5) We finally put on our boots and skies and let's do this, right? Ooops. Not really. We joined the line for the tram at 11:40am- we get into the tram at 1:01pm! That's 80 minutes waiting. Okay, maybe this is just a really busy "lift", it must be better on some other lifts. We hit Mineral Basin and you can guess - we waited an hour to get on the chair lift. That is just not okay. In general, skiing is not a cheap hobby and I would just expect so much more from a resort like Snowbird. It feels to me that there is no balance in terms of their revenue goal vs the quality of skiing visitors get. We spent exactly 4 hours in the resort (no breaks) and we were able to go down the mountain THREE times. Lesson learned - time to shorten our 4-day trip to a one-day trip and go back home.

Best terrain in Utah. A bit crowded, but this is part of the game. Long season.

Can't say enough about this place. The scenery is beautiful, the air is crisp, the roads are nice, the area is well maintained, and the staff everywhere you go is friendly. We've stayed several times and every time the kids have an amazing time and constantly ask when we're going back. Took the parents up for the 1st time and now they're hooked.

Most blue trails are narrow, dangerous, and not predictable (not enough signs and guidelines). Green slopes 30 degrees inclinations with hills and turns. People are skiing at high speed without any responsibility. Overall, the surface of the mountain is poorly groomed, and even in the morning at 10 am, it is completely choppy and bumpy.

Such a fun mountain! Get there early for parking, ride the tram to start, enjoy the picturesque views and watch out for icy patches in Mineral Basin. Snowbird ski patrol seems to be a very well-trained groups of folks, too. The Peruvian Tunnel was a pleasant surprise, and the snow was very nice in late January when I visited with friends. Overwhelmingly solid experience!

People are nice. Not very beginner friendly. Hard to get from snowbird center to the greens, I think it near creekside. I also don’t believe the greens are real greens more blue greens in my opinion. If you are not expert and you are trying to get around the mountain it’s pretty difficult and have to go on cat tracks.

Worst ski resort ever! 1 hour to find a parking and we ended up having to park at alta where we will get a ticket or our car towed. No staff guiding parking or traffic control. Quality price really low comparing Europe!

A wonderful place to ski, but unfortunately you can find a lot of ski resort staff with weird god complexes. I was in shock at the way I was treated by one staff member that targeted me for two days straight. Absolutely disrespectful, gas lighting commentary that had no intention other than to talk over you with the little narrative he had in his head until you physically left his instructor area. Another staff member laughed at someone falling near the racing area and commented how they love to see beginners get "trapped" on more complicated runs. I understand people can ignore staff suggestions or not respect the mountain which would be aggravating, but some people genuinely get turned around on those trails and it's alarming how staff finds it hilarious when people can seriously injure themselves.

Snowbird as a utah treasure. Go eat there. Go ski there. Go summer hiking. Go sleep there. Year around this is a great place. If it is summer, go ride the tram and hike those beautiful ridges. Anyone can hike those peaks once the tram takes you to the top. If it is winter, the skiing is the best, if you like steep.

Snowbird Ski Resorts for us! Outdoor trails of different degrees of difficulty, indoor clean shops and lockers, easy access to restrooms, good signage if you get lost, and welcoming staff just to begin. Having not setting foot there when it snows, we are there for the summer, just for the activities, trails and of course, breathtaking scenery.

Definitely one of my favorite places to go snowboarding. Grab a friend or two and head up and have a good time too. Don’t forget to hit up the tram club 21+ grab a drink and some food. There is also two pool tables inside that you could play.
