Very nice indoor nursery with plenty of outdoor figurines and they are on sale right now.And look the even have wooden bars, dressers, and kitchen carts/islands. Excellent customer service from a very nice woman named Shelly at the front register. Shelly chased after a gentleman who left one of his project pieces on the counter and assisted me in getting a Sutherlands sign card that has benefits for customers. Shelly also had all the popcorn already bagged and ready to go for customers.Excellent work Shelly!

Someone recommended that I try here instead of other home improvement stores but that was a mistake. Pricing was similar but the building is falling apart, no one to help, the wood was warped and twisted beyond anything I have seen before. It felt sketchy being there and there was only like 3 other customers on a Saturday. Won’t be back.

My twin bed platform for my truck camper busted in half so I needed to make a new one. The customer service in the project department was nothing but helpful. They even cut the plywood for me according to the specs I needed for free. I'd highly recommend coming here and plus you're supporting a local business.

They offer some reasonable quality items (such as tile) at low prices--possibly at low quality as well, so be sure you know what you are buying. They usually have a good variety of products in stock.

Bought 2 pair of jeans for 17 bucks and realized this place is pretty great. Love the old time Candy section by the registers. Really like the bargain section and you can get a bunch of hardware while your here. Well done. Wish only for more open hours hell I'll come work here if you go 24 hours like home depot on 21 s use to be ha.

How many people are working their? 3? Does anybody there know how to cut chain? Everything seems like it's more expensive than even Home Depot. Got tired of waiting for someone who was qualified to cut a piece of chain. This is the last straw. I've came here because it was close but I won't be coming back overpriced, understaffed. I should have been able to tell by the parking lot that this isn't the place only two stars because the one guy that was new knew where the chain was.

If you want to shop in a hardware store that employees people who know what they are doing, look no further. They have a significant selection of BBQ and Grilling supplies. Their lumber is higher quality than HD or Lowes every time I have checked. The people are friendly and knowledgeable.

Me and my husband love Sutherland!! So does our fur baby he loves the treats they give at the door , the wash for dogs is awesome .They provide you with towels, shampoo &’ aprons so you won’t get yourself wet. Not to mention only 9$ !!Customer service is A1 and everyone is so friendly I strongly recommend here for your tool and pet wash needs :)

Located conveniently near downtown Salt Lake City. The prices are comparable to other home improvement/lumber stores in the area. The inventory is similar. They do have some unique seasonal and outdoor items. The staff is always helpful and friendly.

It’s totally amazing this store stays in business. I’ve tried time and time again to support this store close to my neighborhood, this is the absolute last time! Tried an online order 6 pcs of Sheetrock 5 rolls of insulation 5#s of screws and five gallons of joint compound. Got a confirmation email saying they have the order and to wait for the email it was pulled. No email that day so next day around noon I called and someone finally picked up. The order had not been looked at or pulled. An hour or so later I got a email that it was ready for pick up. Get to the store to pick up and I’m told I was sent an email telling me there was no sheet rock. No such email can I find? Do yourself a favor and go to a real lumber store. Unless you want to wash your dogl that’s right you can wash you dog there. Just don’t count on buying any building related products.

My wife went by Sutherlands today and checked out the Trex they have there.She ended up getting all we needed to finish our project.Way better deal than the first place she looked!The guys there were really really great and helpful!The one guy cut the boards in half so they'd fit in her SUV.Super nice guy/kid helped her load and even saran wrapped it so it wouldn't flop everywhere!Five stars! Two thumbs way up! 👍👍We will definitely come back again!

After a bad experience with a contractor, we had to finish our basement on our own. We needed a certain style of door and Sutherlands was the only place in Salt Lake and Utah County to have them in stock. We were able to get half the doors we needed, however the other half had to be special ordered. There were some manufacture delays due to various reason, so our doors got in a bit later than expected.This would've been an additional frustrating situation, however Paul and Team did all they could to make it right, even though it wasn't their fault. We were against a tight deadline and Paul was willing to have his team build a door for us if needed. Luckily all the doors ended up coming in with plenty of time. He even had our last 2 doors delivered to us, one at a time, as soon as they came in. We live about 25 minutes away.Paul and his crew showed great customer service. They went above and beyond of what's expected. My wife and are are VERY grateful for them. I DOUBT we would've received the same treatment at one of the big chains. Our experience with them has been a bright spot in a dark situation we were in. Thank you!!!

Hands down best customer service with great prices!! We purchased 4 pallets of sod for the cheapest price in valley! Wayne is the BEST and communicated with me until I came to pick up our sod. He had our pallets ready for us and made sure that Ashley was informed and took great care of us being so personable! Rich was also another employee who was absolutely amazing!! From the young men that loaded our truck to every employee I past by entering the store, greeted us with a smile and welcome!! Im definitely a customer for life!!

Very helpful employees. Very good with returns.This is my go to Hardware / lumber store. The employees are very helpful and have no problem taking back something if it doesn't work out. It's a little out of the way but it is worth the trip. Even if they have to refer you to somewhere else they are willing to do what it takes to help you.

I absolutely love this place,with not alot of options where I live I can usually find almost anything I need with this one stop shopping . Employees are very knowledgeable of their merchandise and are very helpful in answering your questions. Store is always clean and organized and you always get a warm welcome when you walk through the door. I would recommend anyone to shop here.

Gonna be honest, there's never enough staff on hand. It's a small, slow paced store. Only 10 customers at a time in average, and 2 people working. But the people who are working are usually friendly and try to be helpful. Convenient for a quick fix, but limited selection. So if you have a real project, do yourself a favor and go to Home Depot on 2100 South.
