Only reason I don't give a 5 star is because their selection of small reptiles and amphibians is kind of lacking. As for the selection and pricing on the supplies for them they are doing amazing. They have multiple options for arboreal tanks and all.

Went there today and the girl running checkout #2 rang everything up with one arm because her other hand was too busy repeatedly tapping on her phone so she could earn points on some game. I guess that was more important than helping customers. Like I disturbed her at home on her couch

I have a senior Shitzu who IS incontinent so. I needed old man pee pads, I had to take 2 trips, the first time I went . I was not quite sure what to buy. So I had to ask for help , and the little gal that helped me was so informative and very nice. But we still managed to buy the the wrong size and the wrong gender. On the second visit . My exchange was painless. I had no receipt not a problem , and the package was open and short a few diapers. And it was the best exchange. Customer Service was AWSOME!!!

The employees are always so nice and do their best to guide you in the right direction whenever you come in with questions. However, the company itself is awful about how they keep their fish. The few times I have bought live fish in store instead of ordering them from a trusted breeder, the fish have been sick, and some end up passing away within a week. All the fish are kept in dirty tanks, and dead fish are often left in the tanks. The bettas are still sold in cups that are far too small, and they get dirty fast. I brought home this guy in September, and after just a few months in a proper tank, getting regular water changes, he has flourished. Long story short, the company needs to give their employees the resources to properly care for the fish.

First time using PetSmart groomers, Amazing experience. We were a bit skeptical at first, due to some reviews at other locations & social media posts.I can say at this location they care for your little furry family members. Ashley was our groomer & we have already booked our 2nd appointment.From the moment we walked in super friendly & offered a variety of options for our baby girl.I love how they have a demo of different hair heights so you can see & touch to know exactly how you want your dogs haircut.Thanks for taking care of our family member.

I’ve got most of my pet stuff from petsmart, each one has different things with each city in mind. The West Valley Petsmart has been my go-to for years. I’ve got many, MANY reptiles from this place and I’ve never brought home a bad pet. I had a Waterdragon for years, fish, bearded dragon, and currently two male leopard geckos and brought home a little baby. All the pets we’ve brought home have been super friendly and easily tamed. If enough research is done, all these pets have the potential to be amazing and the manager of this store will definitely take care of you.

We asked for Jessica to groom our dog the same as she did the last time. I guess she forgot that you NEVER SHAVE ANY SPANIELS TAILS OR EARS.Tha manager thinks a FREE GOOM is adequate compensation for scalping my dog.

We just finished the Puppy Training Class with Angelisa at the West Valley PetSmart and we loved the experience! Our puppy Pluto was engaged and learned so well. The lessons were easy for my Hubby and I to learn as well. She gave us great advice on what products to use, what types of treats and was able to fit in a make up class for us! Angelisa was very friendly, professional and knowledgeable, we loved class with her! The entire WV PetSmart team was terrific and helped support Pluto in his training!

My son and I came here to check out the fish.. I was surprised at the amount of dead goldfish they had. Goldfish are pretty hardy so that just goes to show the lack of care they put into their fish in general. Definitely won't be back for buy fish!

Ashley M. is my favorite groomer! I've had bad experiences with PetSmart groomers in another state, but I'm glad I tried again here in Utah because Ashley is really is exceptional.My pup, Lily, is a quiet, senior poodle mix with a wavy coat, curly butt, and health conditions. She starts panting anxiously the moment she knows we're going to the grooming dept. Yet after a grooming appointment with Ashley, Lily is always ready for pick-up a sparkling little soul, her tail wagging a mile a minute. This is why I drive from Downtown SLC to take Lily to see Ashley.The grooming staff at this PetSmart are also very nice and accommodating at check-in and pick-up even though they're always so busy.Thank you Ashley M. and the entire grooming department!Protip: Gentle, compassionate groomers are hard to find and even harder to book these days, so if you find yours at this PetSmart, book an appointment at least one month in advance. Also, tip cash at the grooming desk because the registers can't accommodate tips with credit cards.

ANIMAL ABUSE/NEGLECTThe fish department had PILES of dead fish floating in every single tank. This is unacceptable. Yes, fish die. Especially after being shipped from a fish farm to a wholesaler then to a store. But this was so far beyond normal die-off. Some of the fish has been dead in the tank so long they were ROTTING.Reptiles were NOT in their ideal temperatures of humidity ranges. Ball python had a humidity of 20% which is abuse.DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY AT THIS LOCATION. There are plenty of local pet stores that actually care for their animals. Not to mention other PetSmart location have better kept animals.

Always have my dogs food in stock. Was able to find a harness for a screaming deal. It said $12.95 on the clearance tag on the shelf. Even verified the correct color. When it rang up it was $19.95. Didn't realize it until after I got home. No time to run back to get corrected.

The grooming salon is expensive but so worth it. Jessica makes my little dog look so cute. And she is gentle and kind. My sweet pup gets so excited when she knows we are here, she literally pulls me into the store! Definitely going to keep coming.

Awe Petsmart! My pup knows this place by heart! 😂 If I say petstore she knows we are coming here! They have the cutest critters and have fun picture events as well as the best selection of collars, toys, and treats! I got a ton of compliments on her 4th of July collar.

It is a good pitstop for the dogs as we grab their food and extra stuff here. I've been ordering online, and it's so much better than walking around the store and grabbing stuff. I just ordered it online and picked it up there. It's worth it, and sometimes, there are better deals online. They do so good on bagging it up for you. I love it. An sometimes they send a dog treet for the dogs. They had this ordered ready in less than an hour.
