Not shopper friendly. At all. I had a 12 pack of soda and a bag of ice. I wasn’t done but the ice was tearing me up. Frozen in my stepsI struggle to find a place to set it down. Rem this no carts, no baskets even. Heck I would’ve taken a stock box had it been available. So I spy an area under the self ck out. I neatly set the ice down on top of the drinks. I nod at the checker person. I wander around looking for a great eyeliner. I have found a shower poof for 3.99. Searches all brands worth buying and settles on an overpriced Almaty liner ‘black Raisin’. It’s ok. Head back to the self check out. My ice is gone. The drinks remain but someone who isn’t ice savvy, replaced it in the furthest cooler. I walk off to get it and return to see my balance it now $70 I ask what is 36 bux?The line guy says hoooha some one rang their stuff up on your order. My graces slipping. The order is voided I begin again now the poof is near to 7 bux. I’m flummoxed. I have dude take it off my order. Try checking out. They have 7 options to pay. InterestingMore issues to just get a few things. They have these signs on their items that make it look like things are 3$. No not true. Those are the rewards if you spend 10x.All kinds of confusion abound. Unhelpful and suspicious Stay out of the high dollar small item aisles. They sent a spy to make sure I was concealing the concealer.Bunko. Shop w/ prices in mind and don’t buy ice here. Pah and Meh.

This pharmacy is the best I've been to in Salt Lake city. They always have my meds on time, and are very friendly and kind. No judgement from anyone there. They are open and accepting of all walks of life. The employees are always very happy and lighthearted. Thanks for everything you do :)

I approached the front desk attendant with a polite inquiry about restroom usage, only to be met with an unfortunate display of unprofessional behavior from the individual beside her, who audibly chuckled at my request. Upon addressing this matter directly with him, I was met with silence, while the lady accompanying him took it upon herself to respond, stating that restroom access is restricted to employees exclusively. It is disappointing that a matter as simple as this could not have been communicated in a more courteous and respectful manner. The lack of decorum displayed by the gentleman in question raises concerns about his understanding of proper etiquette and basic human decency.

EVERYONE NEEDS THIS CVS IN THEIR LIFE! I only went in for some conditioner and I literally spent an extra 30 min in there just admiring how neatly organized every single display was. Not one product was even facing the wrong direction. I haven’t been this impressed with a store since... ever actually. Stores are stores right? No, now I see the how drastically this changes my opinion! I don’t know if any other store can live up to that! I’ll basically be spending much, much more money in this specific CVS! The staff was super friendly too!

Have had so many issues with this pharmacy recently. I’ve been a cvs customer for a decade+ but am moving my prescriptions elsewhere. I’ve had multiple issues with prescriptions not being ready despite getting texts and alerts from the app that they are ready for pickup. Have also had issues where the pharmacist kept saying a prescription wasn’t ready yet but didn’t disclose the reason was because the drug was out of stock at their location. This was for an urgently prescribed drug for an illness and once they disclosed the reason, I was able to go pickup the rx at another location. But super annoying that they weren’t upfront about it.The last straw was when a pharmacy tech said she didn’t have time to help me unless I wanted to wait another 30 minutes (after already waiting 20 for a prescription that cvs texted me was ready for pickup). I said it was ok and that I was considering just moving my prescriptions. She said that sounded like a good idea. Seems like they don’t really want people’s business.

I’ve been going to this CVS sense the day it opened, I have had by far the best service ever. Reading some of the post’s it sounds like most people don’t understand how a pharmacy works. My experiences have been nothing but positive, the managing pharmacist is nothing but a pro. I retired this year and have changed insurance so I’m told I need to move to a different non-CVS. It’s hard for me to change to a different store because of my friends at CVS pharmacy. Keep up the great work and superior service.

COVID testing is a nightmare here. Imagine being in my situation where I live alone and have no one to help me schedule an appointment online (of course it had to be online, right? Because who cares about accessibility?- Not CVS). Imagine being so sick that it hurts to move and having to find a way to connect to the internet just to make the appointment. In addition to that, you’re then required to fill out a lengthy questionnaire that asks you closed ended questions (because in real life, everything is a simple yes or no). I eventually gave CVS a call because some questions were too confusing. The person that helped me was very kind (which is why I didn’t give CVS a single star only) but they admitted that they didn’t have access to the appointment schedule and gave me a phone number I could call to schedule the appointment. Though I was able to finish the online process, I would’ve preferred that the COVID scheduling number would’ve been accessible from the start as well as the fact that their testing times are highly limited.

I just picked up my prescriptions at the window. Heather is always friendly and has a smile on her face. Not many businesses have great customer service. Thanks Heather!

There have been many mistakes at this pharmacy. I would move on but it is the only one optimally covered by my insurance. To make it worse the pharmacists are indifferent about the mistakes and do nothing to correct them. This latest debacle prompted me to write a review. I called in a prescription that needed a doctor to refill. They called the wrong doctor and got me a different prescription from the same prescription I have been receiving there for over a year. I am sitting here with a broken pelvis having to explain their error 5 times before they understood. Also found out that I am on the hook for the heavy cost of the prescription I don’t need. Finally spoken in a monotone, very disinterested tone said they’d call the correct doctor, not my eye doctor as before. They take so much longer to fill prescriptions than any other pharmacy I have used and they are not a listening bunch. They are understaffed so don’t expect to get something filled that you need for your illness the same night or day. Going to the counter can mean 15-30 minutes wait times because they are not staffed. If you absolutely have no choice of pharmacy my suggestion is to always have the doctor call in your script and call to check it is there.I have had more than 1 false call back. I’ve even gone to pick up a script that was supposed to be filled only to find out that they don’t have a supply of it in the store and have to order it. It is not a reputable place for taking care of your health needs.

CVS today is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you’re going to get. At the bar that line from Forrest Gump because honestly you never know what you’re going to get. But this location was awesome people they’re very helpful. Definitely recommend this location anybody in the area.

A lot of the cvs pharmacists at this location are nice and helpful. However, there is one new pharmacist who we have spoken to twice now who is completely unwilling to help us get a receipt so our FSA will accept the purchase we made. The purchase was over 200$ which is not something we can afford on a regular card and I'm sure they wouldn't let us return the items without a receipt. We asked immediately after pressing "no reciept" for one because we realized out mistake but she just said she cannot do it. The bigger problem is her attitude and unwillingness to try to help with the situation.

I am so disappointed in this pharmacy and the pharmacists here. After reading reviews, I have had almost identical horrible experiences with the pharmacists at this location. Every time I go in to fill a prescription I have been on for years, there is always a problem and they “need to call my doctor to verify.” They have done this to me 3 times now. The first time it took 3 weeks to get my medication filled. The pharmacist blamed the doctor for not getting back to them, but after reading past reviews I’m not sure I believe him. I have taken my prescription elsewhere and there is never a problem from other pharmacists filling it and the pharmacists are kind and helpful. The customer service at this location is so poor and they are flat out rude. They make you feel horrible about filling certain prescriptions, ones I have been prescribed to take from a doctor I have seen for 20+ years. It’s so unfortunate because this CVS is in a great location and it is a very nice store. I hope these reviews are looked at and the something is done with the management of this pharmacy. Until then, I will steer clear of this pharmacy and pharmacists.

We transferred our prescription to this location when it opened and was so happy when we discovered that Adam was in part of the pharmacy staff. His work ethic makes sure that we received the medical care that our Insurance's allowed or either Adam or staff would suggest ways we could work around insurance issues.I recommend this CVS pharmacy.Thank you CVS-Sugar House for all you do as well as for what you have done.

Not great, the pharmacist has refused me a vaccine before after getting a follow up scheduled at this location. I’d avoid going here as any issues will stick with you at all CVS chains.

This was the only pharmacy open after leaving my doc office, I went to get it 6 hours after it was sent over, only to be informed that they don’t have it and won’t be able to get it in until the following day. No voicemail was left for me, they called off of a random number but left no message indicating that they couldn’t fill my prescription. I had to drive 40 minutes out of my way to get to this pharmacy to be given absolutely nothing. It’s 2019. Leave. A. Voicemail. If. You’re. Calling. Someone. That. Doesn’t. Have. Your. Number. Stored. In. Their. Caller. ID. Honestly CVS, do better.

The personnel here are great. The best thing though about this store is it's open 24 hours. That includes the pharmacy. UPDATE: Recently service has become less than helpful. The pharmacist began second guessing my doctor on medications I was prescribed. I have been going to the same doctor for years and I trust her completely. I have decided to move back to Smith's Pharmacy.

CVS can kiss my***. If there were zero stars I would have given that. My insurance required that we use a CVS pharmacy, which sucks because it’s not very close. Having said that, making my way all the way over there, I’m told it’s gonna take three days to fill my prescription because they’re just too busy. If this is their service to new customers, I can only assume what being a regular means. They can save their ‘welcome’ message, i’d rather pay cash for my prescription and use someone close and who cares that I’m there. Byeeeeee.

Today I was in line at the drive thru to get my Covid test when my car battery went dead. I was next in line and was blocking a long line of cars behind me. I was panicked and had no jumper cables, but the ladies in the pharmacy all pulled together and found a way to jump start my car. They even let me take the test after all of this. They truly saved me when I was felling sick and embarrassed and stressed. Thank you so much to the employees at this location. They are top notch and deserve a raise!

My Utah transit authority pass fell out of my pocket. Store manager found my pass and I am extremely grateful for this. In CVS ad they have excellent prices and some extra bucks rewards. Store in a beautiful location. Thanks Please make Rachel store manager at any other CVS. All rite Aid customers should try this store. Excellent store. I was in this cvs last Saturday afternoon. Two employees never said hi or acknowledged me at all. I have always loved cvs and this was originally an all star review. Please let me know what happened to your customer service. Suggestion when customers walk into cvs acknowledge and greet and when looking for some things to buy offer to help. I worked at Circuit city for 5 year's and other retail stores also. Please improve this problem. I review my favorite businesses and this was originally an all star perfect review. Customers should be valued ? . I also did phone customer service for over 7 years. What happened to the excellent customer service in the past

Every single time we go to this CVS pharmacy they are incredibly rude and have tried to change our treatment plan. One time my mom went and they told her to not take the meds her Doctor prescribed and to go to physical therapy. They are not our doctors. My doctors office even called them today to get my pain meds after I just had surgery and they have made a huge deal out of it after my Doctor has told them three times that the prescription is written correctly. DO NOT go to this pharmacy. Our medication is never ready on time and my mom and I have a lot of health issues so unfortunately we have to have a lot of medications. WORST place for that. Pharmacist Adam is terrible and incredibly cocky. We will not be going here anymore.

They made me walk outside to the window in the heat of the day and stand and wait behind running cars for a scheduled COVID test for travel. I told them I didn’t have any symptoms and didn’t come in a car bc I don’t have one! and only need the test for traveling and yet they wouldn’t serve me at the counter. The cherry on top is that they give themselves a 72 hr window for the test results to arrive. I NEED IT TO TRAVEL!! If the results come after this 72 hr window the results are null and void for traveling. I need it to come within 24hr so I can use this PCR to travel and take me through all the time zones I need to go through!! And bc I’m a traveler I paid out of pocket for a useless test. Do yourself a favor. Go somewhere else!!

A nearly new pharmacy/drug store 2 blocks from me now they don't dispense some medications. Is the first time in 27 years living in 6 different states while taking this Rx that a pharmacy won't dispense it. So bogus. Is what happens when HR single sources an Rx plan have to use CVS. Obviously I won't be shopping here for my drugstore needs.

Wow. I do not feel like I could trust my family's medications there. Our new prescription insurance is CVS and they are requiring us to go to a CVS for 90 day prescriptions. I went to this pharmacy to have mine transferred. I waited watching a man with a very greasy looking fohawk behind the counter put 4 people on the phone on hold, telling them he was very busy and had 6 other people at the counter waiting to be served. I was the only one at the counter. He greeted me and I explained what I needed, and went to give him the names of my meds, he acted very rushed and said he didnt need to go over them with me, he would just call my old pharmacy and get them all transferred. I tried to explain I had just been taken off 2 meds and there are some in the old system that I don't need, and he told me it really didnt matter. I went and told him what meds I didn't need anyway.I asked him how good they are about answering the phone there (we had called twice about doing this transfer and could not get anyone to pick up the phone, that's why I drove there to do it). He said they prefer you to use the CVS app because everything could be done through the app. He then told me "I get a lot of nonsense phone calls when they could have just gone on the app." At that point I started to cringe, and also was remembering the 4 people on the phone on hold...Even after this I gave him my old pharmacy's contact info so I could make the switch required by our insurance. I then asked how long it would take and he said "I don't know, we have a lot of transfers." I asked him if he was the head pharmacist, and he said yes, he was the manager, and his name was Schwed. I told myself to give it a chance, to trust my family's medications with this manager. ---Four days later I get a call from the old pharmacy telling me they just got a call from Schwed at CVS to transfer my meds. 4 days later. I told them not to release my prescriptions to him. I now have found another CVS pharmacy in a target store. I talked personally with the pharmacist and told her my concerns. Guess what? They take phone calls seriously, they acted like they cared, and they can generally get prescriptions transferred in a day or so.I do not trust Schwed and his management at CVS Sugarhouse. Too bad, it's a nice store.

If I could give them zero stars, I would. Employees act put out that someone even walked through the door and they might have to work. I usually like CVS, but not this one. Employees are rude and pretty much unapproachable.

Ok shout out to the guy that helped us at the drive through window today, August 10th at 3 in the morning. Although we had to wait a bit because there was a rush, the pharmacist on duty was literally running & moving at TOP seed to get everyone their prescriptions. After waiting countless hours in an ER that wasn't busy to see sedentary, apathetic staff everywhere, it was incredibly refreshing to see someone going well out of his way to attempt to get me feeling better as soon as possible. Literally a customer service phenom!

slow, pharmacist is rude, will not be returning ... an elderly lady was in front of me and the pharmacist refused to fill her medication, the women was clearly confused and the pharmacist essentially said it wasn't her issue and because she had it filled elsewhere she couldn't fill it there for X amount of days ... While I understand restrictions regarding controlled substances she didn't explain this to the lady, she simply kept saying "I don't know when you filled it last, I don't know how many you got last time, etc. etc." Pharmacist have access to a state wide database through DOPL she could have easily checked the site and known exactly what was filled and the quantity and called the other pharmacy instead of just telling her "no." Maybe i'm odd because I still believe in helping our elderly population. The pharmacist then refused to fill my prescription after she made me wait for 30 minutes due to a possible "drug interaction" with another medication that I am prescribed, while I appreciate her concern for safety - my primary care already advised me to skip my PRN medication if I took the cough syrup. I have never been to this CVS before and usually go to Walgreens but since they were out of the medication ended up at this CVS. I am not angry that she wanted to check with the provider but her responses were rude and less then informative - she simply said "I have to talk to your doctor and they won't be back until 2 PM" Like, I've stated its fine that she wanted to check with the doctor but its infuriating when you've waited for 30 minutes and then you're told this, it seems like they should be able to have foresight into needing to do this when you drop the prescription off, if this was the case I wouldn't have waited and would have simply gone home and returned. At this point I was so annoyed i went up the street to Fresh Market on 2100 S. where they got my prescription filled in 5 mins. Do yourself a favor and go up the street to FreshMarket, don't waste your time ...

This is an incredibly bad pharmacy. We have several highly sensitive prescriptions in our household (including several for my daughter's epilepsy) and CVS is constantly making errors - not having them filled when they should, claiming to have never received them when the MD's office has records showing it was transmitted, enforcing weird cancellation policies on two occasions when we picked up an Rx a few days after it was filled requiring us to get new Rxs...And what makes all this disorganization worse is that if you call to try and work these things out, you will be on hold for extremely long periods of time (nearly 30 minutes for the call i just ended) and they're never helpful once you get them - just a dismissive and rude, "yeah we didn't get it, sorry" attitude. Incredibly bad patient care, and in our case puts family members at risk. Note that this is very much a Sugarhouse CVS issue, I've never experienced any errors of any kind really from any other pharmacy (and we've had some of these same Rxs for years!), but it's the norm for this location - they screw up at least a third of them. Sadly, since Aetna bought them, we've been required to use them for everything, or I'd avoid them as they're such an incredibly weak link in our family's healthcare network. If you're fortunate enough to have a choice, I'd highly recommend you choose to go elsewhere! There's a reason one third of the Google reviews for this ridiculous are is negative, the place is a joke.
