Service was amazing they are super nice. My room was very clean and comfortable. The gentleman I spoke with at the front desk informed me they have plans to do some remodeling to make it even better but as it stands I think it’s a great place already. You can definitely tell that the people here care about your experience. If I’m ever in this area again I’ll for sure stay here.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The front desk manager was so friendly and chatty. He recommended a cafe for breakfast. The hotel area was so nicely designed and clean. The room was very clean and cozy as well.Food & drinks: Lots of good restaurants nearby. Save to walk.

By far one of the best little motel/lodges we’ve stayed at & we’ve done several cross country trips!!The rooms were pristine, cozy, & quiet. We traveled with our pup & couldn’t even tell any dog had been in our room prior. They were so kind to leave a couple bottles of water in our room, which is always super helpful, as we go through a lot of water during our travels. Also helpful to have a little fridge & microwave in the room as well.Location was great, easy to check in (even with late arrival), & a safe area to walk around. The staff were so kind, accommodating, & just overall great people. Seems it’s a family run business & you can certainly tell. The cost is super reasonable, as well as the pet fee (we also found out they give to their cleaners for the extra time/work-how awesome). They were super kind about our furry guy (he’s not the smallest pup) & that always stands out to us. I could go on & on, but you get the idea!100% recommend for a clean cozy stay & will definitely be back next time we’re passing through. Thanks for being so great High Desert Inn!!

This property has undergone an awesome transformation since I last started there 3 years ago and is the only place in town to stay as far as I’m concerned!I also met the owner since this is a family run business and also had the benefit of an enjoyable conversation with him.Do yourself a favor and stay here if you’re in need of area lodging!Internet was great, and the room had “luxury” features I’ve never experienced before in comparable propertiesWalkability: Great coffee house right next door and also within easy walking distance of other cafes and convenience stores

This place checks off all the boxes. While it does not have the amenities of major chain hotels, they make up for it with an incredibly friendly staff, pristine cleanliness, perfect location in a safe area, affordability, and so on. They’re also pet friendly!! They charge a per fee but it’s WAY lower than any other place we have stayed.We stopped here in the middle of a XC trip, and got in late due to some car trouble. There was someone up awaiting our arrival and it was nice to not have to wait awkwardly in the office late at night.Do not pay any mind to the low reviews, they’re goobers. This is the perfect place after a long day of traveling.

Great experience with a local hotel, owned by a local couple who take pride in their facility. Called directly and spoke directly with them for reservations rather than using the online services. Explained what I needed (ADA grab bars) and that I would be traveling with my service animal. Parking was available right next to the room, with plenty of area to manuever my large van without difficulty. This is an older property, as is the other motel in town, and this should be kept in mind for realistic expectations. Everything was clean and functioning properly, no rude staff, in fact I very much enjoyed visiting with the owners during my stay. No need to bring food, as one of the best local restaurants you'll experience is a half block down on Main Street. Thanks so much for the accomodations while I was having my service animal's leg removed due to bone cancer. You helped make the ordeal more manageable. carl

Great hotel at an even better price. This place was fantastic. Everything was super clean and smelled great. I'll definitely stay here again if I do another cross country trip or find myself in Utah again.Rooms: This is one of the cleanest hotels I have ever stayed in that wasn't 200 bucks

My wife and myself stated at this motel for two nights. When we checked in the room was ready and clean. However, the second night the room was not made up, the trash was not removed from the room. The bed was not made. When we approached management they told us that unless we requested the room to be cleaned they do not clean the rooms for additional nights. The fan in the room sounded like an army tank ready to exployed. In the bathroom closet there were electrical wires exposed coming out of the wall. The parking area had big holes that need to be filled. When we checked out the management was rude to us and tolled us they did not want us to stay at there motel again. wE WILL NEVER STAY AT HIS RUN DOWN CAMPGROUND AGAIN.

I made a prior review of the lack of care regarding this business. I was given false information by Expedia and found that they NEVER reached out to rhe Inn to change my reservation. At the Inn's request I contacted them directly and they were kind, accommodating, and were more than willing to change my reservation and got me all set up with a new date for my stay. I was pleasantly surprised and grateful for their kindness. 💜

What a gem! Very clean and simple. Generous with their ice machine. Owners were gracious, conversational and accommodating. So much so that we booked again on our way back through. And don’t forget a great breakfast or slice of pie at Mom’s Kitchen only a block away before getting back on the road. They’ve been open almost 100 years and have the newspaper clippings to prove it. We’ll have great memories of this little town in Utah thanks to High Desert Inn.

Little mom and pops hotel not a chain. You walk in the lobby and it smells amazing! It's a family owned hotel and they do their best to have clean rooms. Rooms are clean and very comfortable. The staff is amazing. I have a crew working in the area and put my guys there and the staff were very accommodating. I wish more hotels were this awesome. Shane is the man! Guy gave me extra coffee and then told me about the coffee store next door. They are awesome too! Wish I could give 10 stars. Please don't confuse them with the hotel next door. The staff keeps the riff raff if any down. Make the trip into town for this hotel! Good hotel, great people, awesome stay!

I needed a somewhat budget friendly, last minute room while traveling on business earlier this week. I lucked up in finding the High Desert Inn! It isn’t a brand new hotel, but is every bit as clean or cleaner. I sleep poorly and asked for a quiet room-they took my request seriously and despite some road noise when I had the AC off, it was incredibly peaceful and quiet.The folks running the place are so nice too-gave great recommendations for dinner, breakfast and coffee all within walking distance (be aware Salina is a small town so some places close relatively early). I enjoyed visiting with Shane when I checked in and his mom when I checked out. It’s rare to find friendly, kind service. I’ll be back next month when I’m in the area again.

Great owners! Wonderful service & clean rooms! I would definitely stay again if I am in the area! The owner was willing to get me to the truck dealership down the road by the highway. I wish more hotels offered the friendly, caring service you will find at the High Desert Inn. They have local handmade soaps for sale that smell amazing!Rooms: Clean & comfortable!Safety: I felt safe!Walkability: Food establishments nearby & grocery store across the street.

The owners are super friendly. I needed four rooms and they accommodated me and the rooms are great. This place is proof that a budget motel/hotel can be a good thing and doesn't have to be run down. You won't find a better rate. I highly recommend this place!
