Trout Bum 2 is my go to for fly fishing every time I’m in Park City. The guides are awesome and make sure you’re on the fish and having a fantastic time. I cannot praise them enough. Plus the shop has pretty great gear as well. My favorite guide is Chris. He is chill but makes sure to give pointers to help your experience be the best it can be. It was like fishing with a long time friend you just met. I’ll never look elsewhere. Trout Bum 2 is the absolute best.

Aaron Adams was our fishing guide in December and we were extremely impressed with our experience! He was very knowledgeable about the area and knew all of the ins and outs of fly fishing. He even makes his own lures!! For two people who have never fly fished before, we caught 5-6 fish (multiple species) and had an amazing time! Highly recommend!!

Fantastic local shop! The owner & team are all extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Their fishing guides are outstanding as well - we recently went out with Kip and had a wonderful day. I booked two days on the Green to fulfill a bucket list item for my father. We booked Dan as our guide, and we could not have had a better experience. Dan is hard working, personable, and gives timely instruction when needed. He also knows the river well and really put us on the fish. I highly recommend Dan and Trout Bum 2!

We visited Trout Bum 2 today and were looking for advice on some Fly Fishing Rods that had been in our family. We were greeted by Mitch who was extremely knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and really took the time to help us. The store has a great selection of fly fishing gear and accessories and I would highly recommend stopping in when you are in Park City.

I ended up with an extra day in park city and last minute I looked up fishing guides I got lucky to find one for the next morning. Contacted Utah’s best guides. Early morning on the Provo with an enthusiastic young guide named Zach. I caught fish but for me what was better was all the little things I learned about fly fishing for trout I’m taking back to Wisconsin. This is a crowded river with tremendous pressure but it’s the atmosphere is like a river in Yellowstone. I wouldn’t think of fishing this river without a guide and if I make it back I’ll request Zach again.Hopefully he moves to Alaska in a few years and guides the Kenai because my favorite guide up there retired.

Stopped in the shop because I was hoping to fish for a day on the Provo while I was visiting Park City with my family. The young man who’s originally from Michigan was super helpful and set me up with the right flies and general locations where to fish. I hit the water the following day and had a blast and got into plenty of fish on dries. Great customer service, very knowledgeable staff, and it’s a topnotch shop loaded with everything you need.

Went into the shop and had little to no help even after asking questions. My husband was stared at and it did not make us feel comfortable especially with him being a POC. I don’t fault the young men at the shop, it was just the adults there that made the experience terrible. I understand we all have bad days but this was just overall a bad experience as a customer who spent a lot of money in the shop.

Guide Tyler was great. Awesome conversation and great knowledge of all things fly fishing. It was my first time fly fishing and he took the time to explain the process and technique with great patience. Tyler kept me fishing the entire day, he had substitute poles so when the one I was using lost its flies or the string broke he had another one rigged up for me right away. The gear Trout Bum 2 offered was new and in great shape, their store offers a wide variety of gear. I would highly recommend this shop to anyone trying our fly fishing for the first time.

I came here last year for a planned guided trip and they took good care of me. Both of my guides (Chris and Chad) were great company, hosts, and guides.Came back recently. Very clean and organized store. Has enough of everything you need to refill your supplies for a fly fishing trip. The service at the counter is fine, but felt like they were just not as interested in taking care of a customer only buying a handful of flies

I booked a trip down the Green River with Trout Bum 2 and they set me up with John as a guide. From the moment I met John he was rude, dismissive, vulgar and condescending. Through out the float John acted like a he had no interest in being there and was at times simply nasty. After the trip I reached out to Trout Bum 2 twice to discuss my grievance with the owner of the shop but I have not heard back. One of the managers of the shop indicated to me that they have had issues with this guide before. I simply can not understand why they would charge some one money then send them out with a guide who has a history of nasty behavior with customers.
