I stumbled across Chris’ Big Dog Good Steps page when I was looking for long and sturdy steps for my dogs to access my tall (30”) bed. Good Steps had all I needed for my two seniors, except it wasn’t long or tall enough. I contacted Chris, Good Steps owner and creator, to see if he could modify his design to accommodate my request.Attached are pics of my dogs and the steps he modified for me! Both dogs have been using them very regularly, which is so important to me because my white Jack Russel has a brain tumor and she has become unsteady of her feet and her limbs are shaky. Lexi, my toy Schnauzer, is very fierce, but she isn’t a fan of the traditional plastic steps.In order to give Poppy more stability, I purchased a long bath mat to cover the steps so her feet had more cushion under her. I will be adding fluorescent markings on the rug steps so they can be easier to see at night.100% pleased with my purchase!! Thank, Chris!

I have nothing but positives to say about working with GoodSteps. We have a dog with very short legs and wanted to get him a set of stairs that were not too steep or dangerous for him. Chris went out of his way to work out a design that would enable Charlie to access our bed. He was very responsive to any questions we had and provided photos of different configurations to help us make a decision. In the end, he came up with a custom base that raised the steps to make reaching the bed possible for our old pup. The stairs are high quality and a nice piece of furniture as well. My wife and I highly recommend GoodSteps for your dog as well

Ruby Rose uses her steps everyday! Just love them!!! The quality in workmanship is second to none and they are absolutely beautiful! Good Steps are so stylish as well! The bottom platform is adjustable too!

I have a big girl who weighs 75 lbs. She has no confidence that she can jump up onto anything and climbing up onto even the sofa (which isn't very tall) is like watching someone climb Mt. Everest. I got the stairs for her back in December of 2020. It took her very little time to figure them out and now, in April of 2021, she's a pro at using them. I'm so glad Chris talked me into getting the glow-in-the-dark stripes for the treads, too. She's very comfortable climbing down them in the dark and I haven't tripped over them because of the stripes. As she got used to them, I was able to push the stairs in a bit and completely push the bottom one in, making the footprint of the stairs smaller so they took up even less space (instead of making them a front approach, I've put them alongside the bed and she has no problems reaching the top step and turning to climb up). I LOVE these steps, they’re so solid. And I finally got a video of Max using them. He learned really quickly. Going down the steps took a little more coaxing, but not much — treats were the key.

Good Steps is incredible! Our dog has been having hip/joint problems and struggles jumping up onto the bed and couch. After coming across these we figured we would give them a shot and are so glad we did. She took to them easily and uses them all the time, and it doesn’t hurt that they look good too. These are good quality, beautiful steps and have helped make our dog more comfortable. Very happy with these!
