This place is run by thieves. No price tags on any items in the store, nothing that shows the final price at the register, and they don't give you a receipt. My brother bought 3 days worth of breakfast food/sandwich items like eggs and deli meats and the total came out to $170. Yes you read that correctly. We came back for a receipt just to get a cost breakdown and gramps at the register played dumb and said to come back the next day. Came back and it was a lady running the register to which she did the same thing, said come back the next day. Day 3 and it's the old guy again and we told him we need that receipt. Dude had to ring up ALL our items because the owner doesn't even give him the responsibility of printing a receipt. He had the nerve to ask "you do this when you go out to eat too?" Yeah, only when I'm clearly being scammed. You can tell this place is designed to ripoff visitors, they're all in on it and it's beyond me how this place still operates. They must have an in with the park, just a shady establishment overall.Go down the street to the actual grocery store if you don't wanna get ripped off

I rarely write this kind of review, but I feel the need to mention this so that people know what to expect. I was watching people skate and needed a snack. I grabbed a bag of Cheez-its with pretzels and is was $7!!!!!! It would have been like $2.99 at Maverik. Then a screen came up asking for a TIP!!!!! A tip in a convenience store!! Please stop the practices of seriously overpriced products and asking for a TIP!!!!! I’m not a cheapskate, but tipping culture is beyond out of hand!!!! Please reconsider this business practice! Thank you.

This is a mountain-side convenience store - not a grocery store for your weekly groceries. Food For Thought has everything you will need for a quick run. Fresh fruit, hot coffee, bags of coffee, creamers/milk, soup, bread, breakfast essentials, alcohol, etc. The prices are higher than typical but that is because it is a mountain-side convenience store...The personnel was helpful and kind, price checked all my items for me and helped me find ice skating rentals. Ill be back for sure!

Lady asked for a TIP. At a mini-mart. Checked us out and asked for a tip… Handy place, of course overpriced, but that was expected. But a TIP? Out of hand.

I'd give Dave and his store 6 stars if I could. I don't get the bad rep here--have been here twice also, and Dave was super awesome and friendly every time! This is a great small market in the Park City Village (the only one) that has milk, frozen food, alcohol, sundries and tons of snacks.Dave is great!

Totally agree that the personnel is rude and prices are extremely high. Yes, I get that it’s a convenience store but this is highway robbery. However, tonight is why I write this review. The store closes at 8pm. I arrive at 7:45 and was “shooed” away because they decided to close at 7. The open light was still on. I only needed a single cranberry juice and offered cash after she claimed to have closed her register. Again, shooed away and on NYE, Christmas holiday.

An amazing person working there. They also sell booze which nobody knows but it’s an official state liquor store.Prices do seem crazy but sometimes having a little chat helps.

End of ski day, went into the store, wanting to buy some Advil and breakfast sandwich. The cashier told us the total how much it cost. I felt it was too expensive so I asked her specifically how much the Advil cost. She gave us such bad attitude said it’s more than I can afford. I can afford $10 Advil. I did purchased it. But I do not appreciate the horrible attitude and yelling come the lady. She told me to never go back to the store again. Of course, why would I?

Food for Thought is a tiny grab and go market. It's a fine little place for what it is: a convenient location to grab a drink or a few basic groceries to tide you over. Keep in mind that it *is* a convenience store in a resort area, and the prices reflect that. If you're looking to do actual grocery shopping, Fresh Market isn't far away and you can take the free bus in front of Park City Mountain Resort, a resort shuttle, or walk to get there. I stopped in to Food for Thought late after our first day in Park City for coffee and creamer and a couple of basics and found the items I needed with no problem. It's a tiny, tight fit of a store, but the employees were quite friendly and willingly answered a couple of questions about the area, too.

Very convenient with ok range of products but extremely high prices and certainly dont expect a friendly welcome. But when you need something quickly then I guess you have to size up the difference between walking into the supermarket or paying 3x as much for it..... The high prices perhaps would have seemed not so bad had their been a smile on the other side of the counter. How much do smiles cost?

BUYER BEWARE. The ower is a crook. There are no prices listed, the register has no display, she DOES NOT ask if you want a receipt. After I asked for a receipt and found out I paid $30 for 4 bottles of water (incl a 4% credit charge fee??), i asked to return it for refund. The insanely rude dishonest woman refused, told me to leave and threatened to call the police! She’s a cancer in an otherwise very tourist friendly and pleasant Park City!

I had a lovely time at this establishment. I talked to the owner for a while - she was very kind and conversational. I learned about the history of the store while she helped me find everything. She was patient and willing, sharing stories and hot chocolate recipes. I will definitely be back!

I would give 0 Stars if I could. Some of the worst customer service I have ever received. Bought overpriced spray sunscreen that was defective-- it would not spray. Took it back to the store and not only did the owner / sales person refuse to give a refund or exchange she was very rude to me. Please don't give your business to this store; they deserve to go under.

Woman who works here is not a nice lady at all. Food is stale. I was curious how they could sell wine at this store because it's not a state liquor store and she bit back at me "why would you assume we are doing something illegal?!?" and let out a loud sigh shaking her head. Not worth any convenience being treated this way just to buy a sandwich. Would never go back.

Better than a $20 salad - complaining about high prices at PC seems a bit naive. Just appreciate you have one reasonable (not cheap) option or maybe toss some food in your pack. You have a lift ticket, but the price of Sour Patch Kids is a real hardship?

I wish I could select less than one star!I just had the distinct displeasure of visiting Food for Thought. You no what? When I reached checkout it sure was "Food for Thought" .... Just exactly how did a box of cereal, a few snacks, some orange juice, Advil and a few pieces of fruit, that looked like they were nearing dumpster time, and a USB charger come to $95!!!I wasn't sure if I should call 911 for an ambulance for the shock I sustained or for the police for help in what is clearly something they should be investigating. When asked the question about the bill the aging nasty presumably store owner (not sure if make of female) at check-out made me nervous to the point where I just handed over my cash to get the hell out of there as quickly as possible.Do yourselves a favor folks steer well clear!!!

They conveniently sell beer, wine, and spirits within walking distance of the local condos. Due to state law they only sell beer on Sundays, not wine or liquor.

Fairly expensive however it is convenient. I would recommend taking the free bus service to fresh market and back if you have time. But if you are in a rush and need something in a pinch you will have to pay for convenience.

Teenagers are not welcome at this establishment. They will be told to leave "before you can destroy or steal anything" without any provocation.
