Our Labrador LOVES swimming. Do much that we have to limit our time on Lake Days because I get too scared he will just crash while swimming. Backcountry and many other pet stores down in there Salt Lake Valley did not have a vest large enough for Canyon or did not carry the durable lifevest brands we that we preferred.We were going camping up at Jordanelle Reservoir and pre-called here to make sure they had an XL vest that would fit 100+ lbs with a handle. The gal working there was SO helpful on the phone and in person to make sure it was a secure fit, and also gave us a tip or two on how to position it on our Labrador and which brands last the longest.Not to mention. This store is the CUTEST lil' pet store with a plethora of items, (water toys, all pet supplies, paintings of pets from local artists, ECT.)

I can’t say enough positive things about this business. My husband and I, along with my service dog, spent a few days in Park City as a layover trip. I had forgotten to pack a few items for my dog so I stopped into this store. I was immediately greeted by an employee, Lois, who was so friendly, helpful and knowledgeable! My husband and I didn’t experience many friendly people during our visit, so Lois was a breath of fresh air! I would have bought everything in the store (the inventory is amazing) had I not had to travel with it to Scottsdale. Lois shared that they offer online ordering. We’ll definitely be doing that!

We were passing through Park City on our way to Port Angeles WA, and I called The Barking Cat to inquire about an air-dried beef dog food for our Bernese Mountain Dog.The Lady, who answered, suggested an alternate brand that she carried in the air-dried beef call RED BARN.Our dog, Luna, loves the RED BARN food more than the original air-dried beef that we were giving her!Your suggestion turned into a happier Dog LOVING her food! Every. BITE. ❤️

The Barking Cat is my new favorite local store! We recently adopted a new pup who we were told has a very sensitive stomach/allergies. I went into the Barking Cat the day after Thanksgiving to see if they had any advice. The young man, Justin, spent time explaining canine food sensitivities/allergies, and he suggested some dietary options. I purchased the food he highly recommended, and it has worked wonders! I'm so grateful for his help! As I was leaving the store with the food I had purchased, I noticed the store's hours listed near the door. Unbeknownst to me, I had entered the store about 10 minutes past closing time and stayed until more than 30 minutes past closing time. The young man helping me never gave me any clue that I was taking up time after-hours. He was so welcoming and knowledgeable, and he patiently worked with me until I settled on my purchase. The store also carries tons of unique toys and treats and gifts. I am now a forever-fan!

Great local store. They have a good selection of toys and treats. The staff here is always helpful and giving recommendations. My pup is the destroyer of toys and the employee that was there recommend a durable fire hose material to that is still going strong. The prices are a little high but can be with supporting a local business and quality customer service.

What a cute and unique shop! I have three dogs & it is important to me knowing I will get quality products for them here! This is the best place in PC to pick up your fur babies holiday stocking stuffers and treats! Very friendly and knowledgeable staff and they give back to the community! Manager was rude and condescending. After buying over $400 worth of products in December, I came to return one unopened with price tag still on item. After pulling up the receipt, she said she didn’t see it, asked if I had bought it somewhere else. After assuring her I had only been to the store once and most assuredly bought it there, she told me I must not have paid for it last time!?—essentially accusing me of shoplifting. When she finally scrolled down the long receipt of items I bought that day, she found it and smugly offered me store credit, but no apology for her accusation. When I asked her about dog food, the only one she would recommend was raw meat. When I told her I was vegan, but that I let my dog eat meat, but probably not that much, she proceeded to lecture me on how I need to do my research and allow my dog to eat meat. After again telling her that I do allow my dog to have meat, she wouldn’t let it go and kept going on about how I shouldn’t impose my dietary guidelines on my dog. Oh my gosh, lady. Let it go. And how about actually listening to the customer every now and then? As much as I would love to support local business, in this case, because of your manager’s lack of social skills and respect, I will not be returning.

Our family LOVES this place! The staff so very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The selection of healthy food/treats, eco friendly toys and other fun stuff fantastic. On special occasions we always pick up a healthy cake or cookie from the Barkery which is located inside the store. We are so thankful we have such a great store in the neighbor and best of all locally/women owned.

A unique store near Kimball Junction that carries some unique products. One of my favorites is a sleigh bell for dogs. This is not the standard bear bell that you'll find in a Box store but a true sleigh bell that makes a great sound and keeps your dog as well as all the critters in the forest safe. Super friendly staff with a deep knowledge about their products.

My favorite pet store - all the employees are always happy and friendly when I walk in (and I'm there weekly grabbing dog food); they genuinely care. They are always custom ordering food, and making sure that they keep what my dog eats in stock.

I don’t understand why they don’t have prices on the dog food. This is the second time I’ve been in and the last time was over a month ago. I don’t want to have to ask the price of everything.... this is convenient on the way home but it’s not easier than going to dogs meow who has the pricing front and center. Please fix this.Edited: so it will have taken 3 months to price out the product you hope to sell from your store?? That is so confusing. I’ll be shopping elsewhere.Thanks.

I’m not from Park City, but was up here and realized I needed a last minute life vest for our dog, and was having a hard time finishing one. The employee went above and beyond for me and made sure I got what I needed. Great customer service :)

Barking Cat is a great local pet store filled with everything you need for your best friends! I have a Dachshund, she was feeling very under the weather and not eating. I went to barking cat and they suggested a small packet of organic stew for her ($3 a box). I mixed it up with boiled chicken breast and warm water and she was eating in no time!

I switched dog food at the Barking Cat and my dog could never get used to it even after mixing old food. Justin exchanged with out even asking, it was just their policy. He quickly exchanged to my old brand at almost no cost. Thank you!!
