What an amazing staff they have at this location 10 Star review 🤯🙏 “NIGHT TIME STAFF” to be more specific they always have such a nice atmosphere and pleasant personalities MY BOY KIMBO LOVES YOU 3 GIRLS I will only be shopping here from now on! I work on a farm and money is a bit tight but they were able to help us out not only more than I’ve ever experienced ANYWHERE! But at such a tight time with the $$ KIMBO is a SOUTH AFRICAN BOERBOEL AND 9 MONTHS AND BETWEEN 125LBS AND 130 LBS! So he eats a lot! Also very educated on how to get a BIG dog who’s very weary of strangers to warm up and feel at home ❤️ GREAT JOB TONIGHT LADIES YOU KILLED IT AND GOT A LIFETIME CUSTOMER!

1 start to 5 star review."UPDATE" The GM did reach out to me about the situation and apologized for the employees behavior. It was a good conversation and no need to go into the details but thanks to him taking the time to right a wrong of others. We will continue to keep going to Petco."original issue"Ok, so I am not one to write reviews and am more of a live-and-let-live type of person but after this experience I felt like something needed to be said. This morning my niece and I saw someone dump a kitten on the side of the freeway, so we turned around and picked it up. I told my wife and kids about it over the phone and they decided to drive and meet us at Petco to get the kitten some food and essentials. As my family and I were checking out with ( LOREN, K ) aka "The Manager" everything started out fine. We told her the story and then she immediately took the kitten from my wife's hands and started spouting off medical advice about what we needed to do for the kitten. At first it was fine. My niece told her thank you and then stated she is a Vet tech and was going to take it to her clinic in the morning for a full workup. ( LOREN, K ) Lost it stating she is a "manager" multiple times and said "well if you are going to be rude and not take my advice, I will cancel your transaction right now." She then stated how she has worked "in the industry" for 16 years. I apologized and said lets just check out. Everyone was quiet for the remainder of the time as she took payment. As I finished paying she "tossed" (not threw) the bag of things we had onto the counter and said "next time you can all go to the Spanish Fork location." I then stated "hey look no one meant to offend you and that's not necessary to say" and she began to flip out. (I, also a store manager) told her "I would never treat customers the way you have." ( LOREN, K) Then began to count down from 5 like we were children to leave her store. MIND YOU I am with my niece, my mom 75 Y/0, wife and my two kids 8 and 6. I smirked and said "ok Karen, you are one of the worst managers I have ever seen." As we all were walking out ( LOREN, K ) stated... "Yeah I am a Karen and I HOPE YOU CRASH YOUR CAR on your way home!!!"Seriously? So negative and my 8 and 6 year old have to hear that??? That burns me and that's what lead me to the review.I could have let everything else go but that is just bad energy for anyone hear. Also, to make it clear, my niece who has grown up working with animals her entire life thanks to her mother who is a vet of 22 years, was already in contact with a critical care specialist from their animal hospital for the kitten's care and well being.Anyways that's my review ( I hope ) no one ever has to deal with (LOREN, K) at that store.

BEST PUPPY TRAINING! Autumn is a fantastic teacher and we‘ve already booked our next 6 week training class!Autumn helps with specific issues we are facing in our puppy training at home. She has great insight in how to train with positive reinforcement.Would ABSOLUTELY recommend to anyone who is looking to connect more with their pup through training.

First time using their grooming service and they did an amazing job! Everywhere I looked/called on this side of Utah County was booked until July, so they’re definitely a good option if you’re looking for something within the same month. My girl has been loving her trim and has gotten all the compliments on our walks today. So soft, so good smelling, I’ll definitely be back for her next grooming! 😊

We went to Petco to buy a new hamster for my daughter. I don’t know a lot about hamsters so we found an associate to help us - Jenna was great! She helped us pick out a hamster and find all the accessories he needed to be a happy hamster! She was very knowledgeable and knew the right kinds of toys, food and bedding to pick. She kept telling my daughter how excited she was for her to get a new hamster! She loves her new hamster and named him Murphy! Jenna helped us pick out one with a great temperament and we are so happy! Thanks Jenna for the great customer service!! I really appreciated your help and enthusiasm! My daughter left your store a happy hamster owning little girl!

I spent the majority of my time at the vaccination clinic inside. Only dropped 1 star because my wife and children said the isles are pretty narrow and made them feel a little claustrophobic. Usually, Petco and their major competitors tend to leave enough space for pets and parents to not feel crowded while shopping together.I'll still be back! The staff was nice and answered all my questions really well.

I would not recommend getting your dog groomed here at all. I have a puppy that is about 5 months old, and I booked him for a bath and haircut. I was told that since he’s a puppy he was fighting the cut a little bit, so they could not cut the body entirely. I was charged $70 for a bath/cut before seeing my 15ib dog, then when they brought him out he looked the exact same as before. The only thing that was groomed on his entire body was around his eyes and on his butt. He does not look like he has been to the groomers at ALL. His legs/paws/tail/body/face is all the same length and he does not even smell like he was bathed. They still charged for the full price when they did pretty much no grooming, even though my dog was there for three hours. It was the biggest rip off I’ve ever experienced with a dog. We will never go back, as it was a huge waste of money and deceitful on their part to make us pay full price before seeing my puppy come out looking the same as before.

I like the ambience here. It is cozy, easy to find products. Assistance is available. I love being able to walking in and getting her nails done, obviously if they are able to assist with that... Mornings have worked great for us. No sharp nails are the best!!

They have literally dozens of dead fish in their tanks and they’re always overrun with algea whenever I’m in there. The people are super nice the they have a good array of products, but this is my fifth time going into the store and seeing a bunch of dead fish and just overall really poor husbandry of their animals/fish :((

I loved taking my schnauzer to go get groomed at Petco. The ladies there were super friendly towards my dog and I. They treated him so good while he was there. They asked me how long it had been since I last took my dog in for a grooming and it had been about 2 months there about and they said that my poor dogs nailed looked like the had not been cut for 6 months and I had paid the last place to give him a nail trimming but I guess they did not do their job as well as the hair cut was not done well at all at my last place. I am so glad I brought my dog to Petco or else I would not have known of these issues. Thank you Petco!!

i sent her some items and did not send her the receipt because i did not want her to know the prices I paid for her pets products it was a gift and i got the wrong sizes she tried to take them back to this location and the cashier was very rude to her because they told me in California that she would be fine without them and he yelled at her and was very rude until she was crying she is only 14 yrs old she is sweet and very shy and he made her cry in public she was so embarrassed so if your buying a gift for someone else’s pets do not buy them here they are rude and will not help you with them unless they you give them a receipt PetSmart on the other hand will return them without a problem I will never buy from petco again and to bully a poor little girl about a receipt is not ok

the store is very clean but the grooming stylist was awful to work with and not friendly. she overcharged for my dogs grooming. all the prices are shown online and the final price wasn’t adding up. when I asked for the reasoning they couldn’t provide it and didn’t take off the extra charges. I reached out to the manager, he was friendly but didn’t offer any solutions.

The store was clean and didn't feel packed with things. It wasn't an overwhelming experience. The lights in the store are not super bright, which is nice for me. The person who assisted me at check out was very kind and welcoming. This person seemed to be happy to assist in a pet store. The ambiance felt clean.

The staff here helped so much in buying my son's first fish. He was very knowledgeable about each type of fish and what we would need for them to be healthy. We got three neon tetra that my 4 year old named silver, blue and fish.We had looked through the available fish at others name brand pet stores and there were so much more variety here. I'm going to be coming here for all of my pet needs.

This place is like a store and a mini zoo all in one. They always have really cute animals. WARNING: If you buy a goldfish, tell them you have a 20 gallon tank. If not, they won't sell you one. Which is dumb since the goldfish are all half dead and cost less than a quarter. But they do just fine is fishbowls, don't let the staff fool you.

I just finished the Adult level 1 class taught by Amy at Petco in Orem. This class was so fun and helpful. My dog gets so excited every time we go to Petco now. My dog has always been a runner that’s why I install signed up for the class. One of the things we worked on was recall. A week after finishing the first set of classes my dog managed to get out and I was bracing myself for the chase. When I called her back to me she listened! Lol you could tell she didn’t want to but with the tips and practice my dog slowly made her way back without a fight. I’m still careful with my dog and always keep her on a leash when we go out but I can take her more places and have more confidence that she’s going to behave.Amy has given me so many tips on how to train at home and work with my dog. She’s eager to help and made sure we all got the information and practice we needed. She even did a makeup class when I wasn’t able to make it one week. I'm excited to take more classes from her in the future.

We love shopping for our senior cats there. Their rewards program is over the top. We love coming to shop here because they carry the brands of food we need for our senior cats. The staff is friendly, adequate parking, and parking for handicap.I was impressed with the stores awareness of the present Covid and they have made necessary compliance and has the proper things at hand for our safety.

The girls that run this new location are the best. Very attentive and helpful. I wish the store was a little more cat-sentric (their cat isle is very small), and I wish Utah Petco locations didn't carry "puppy mill" pets. But they carry the best cat food brands, as opposed to Pet Smart, so I choose them.

My two french bulldogs both got KENNEL COUGH from this store.Cost me around 3500.00 just to try and see if the treatment worked.Thank goodness it did.This was the only time we EVER took them to get groomed. And not so much AS an apology.Even talked to the upper management.Thank God for my Vet Dr Maguire at animal pet services in OREM she saved us
