Stopped here coming back from zion, it doesn't look like most rock shops that have stuff in display cases in doors. Everything is out and available to handle. Ken came out of his cutting shed and greeted my kids with a big smile. My oldest son 10yrs is a rock nut, Ken took the time to describe rock hounding techniques and showed us his saws and polisher. Ken even offered to let us borrow some rock hammers for the day to go find fossils. Nicest guy, BEST prices and worth a stop. You won't find any of that carved junk here, just good raw stones.

Amazing shop for local stones, pure uncut and cut. They have fossils, obsidian, crystals, stunning pieces small and large. A lot of stones shaped on site by a very knowledgeable store owner Kenny.

This place has it all and prices are amazing. Some real deals on slices to take home and complete. They have it all and Ken and his wife are the sweetest people you will ever meet. They took so much time with us and sliced a big agate we found the day before. Came out better than expected. We have been here 4 times and will definitely come back. I hope to mail some stones we find to them for polishing. This type of rock shop is a dying art and I will shop here every time we are near. They give so much we must support them so we can return year after year.

this is the store to go to in orderville. i bought some nice amethyst pieces and got a huge ammonite fossil. the owner is also extremely nice and hardworking. he cuts most if not all of his septarian.

Family run rock shop that beats the bigger stops along the main path. The owners were so nice and engaging with our entire family. Prices beat the larger stores, but more importantly, you will learn so much more by chatting with a guy who learned everything from his dad and has been in the business for decades.Take the extra 5-10 min drive to Joe's, it is the type of business where everyone should try to spend their money.

This place is awesome. When asked, they will provide a map to the mine they get their septarian nodules. You can get permission to dig through the spoils. We did so and found a beautiful nodule within 20 minutes! They will cut the nodules for $5.00 a cut, and polish the pieces for a bit more. So much fun, and so cool to find your own. Super friendly, great prices on all the beautiful rocks they have. Highly recommend.

We were there for a specific type of rock, which they didn’t have (no one ended up having it at any of the places we stopped, so we don’t hold any hard feelings because of that). We were impressed with the friendliness of the lady that helped us. When she realized that she didn’t have what we were after, she suggested we try Bob’s down the road. I appreciate people that put the customer’s needs over trying to make a buck for themselves, which is why I’m writing this review. (BTW, Bob’s isn’t the official name of the rock shop down the road, but we did stop there… it was packed, so we wandered around to see if they had the right kind of rock. We didn’t find anything and decided not to wait around to see if there was anyone to ask, as the one employee had a huge line waiting for help).I am not sure why “Bobs” was so much busier than Joe’s, but the customer service at Joe’s was excellent and the prices seemed decent for their stock. I’d definitely recommend a stop there if you’re passing through town.

Visited on our way through Orderville and the shop is outdoors and has a lot to offer in a different way. There are polished stones in a small shaded area, but there are so many neat (and large) unpolished collections of stones outside. For anyone who want to polish stones themselves, there's a lot to see here!

Absolutely magical little spot! The owner was amazing and positive energy radiates from her. They provided us with a map to their claim down the road for rockhounding(septarian). The road is a bit washed out in places but 4x4 did the trick. All in all it was a magical day.

We stopped in the get some advice on where to look for septarians and the folks here were the best. They helped us out loaned us a few tools and told us what we needed. They were also very knowledgable about geology and rockhounding across Utah in general. Great folks. Will stop again if I am back in the area.
