By far the worst place I've ever stayed. It was filthy, the curtains were held by duct tape as well as the bed frame wheel. The floor was coming apart and the tv didn't work. And all of this luxury for $80 per night, haha! Definitely choose Airbnb next time.Noteworthy details: It was a filthy, loud dump. Definitely go for an Airbnb.

The window to my room was cracked, the door didn't have a seal, and the toilet sounded like it was screaming when it was flushed. This was the same case in a neighboring unit, which woke me up. The wall looked like multiple sodas had been spattered over it and there was a mysterious red stain on the floor and dirt on the wall under the desk. I understand it is a cheap stay, just doesn't seem like they are really doing any real maintenance, just quick cleans. The room had a strong smell of a cleaner and the heater was off when we initially got there, so it was really cold as it had been snowing all day.

For room #8 floor is coming apart, waited for 4-5 min for hot water to come out of the shower or sink to no avail. AC works but makes a ratcheting noise when running. Toilet makes a screeching noise when flushing. You have to go to the office to get coffee cups. No vending machine. So I went to local coffee shop in the morning and when I said I was staying at the Safari she said well at least your day will be brighter now. 75 bucks a night on Memorial day weekendYou can tell this is an India ran motel as in they just want to make money with as low overhead as possible. And the pool will probably never be open. Also had to go to local supermarket to get some lysol to make me feel somewhat comfortable breathing in this room. I seriously don't think they change the sheets either. Mismatched pillows.

I had to cancel our reservation due to losing the breaker to air conditioner in our house. It clearly stated on my confirmation that cancellation had to be prior to 3am 7/1/23. I called at 5:40pm on 6/30/23. Very rude person said we were chosen to not rec a refund, even tho I called 9 hr 20 min before deadline. The @&$*’%@# hung up on me. Also in looking at rates, it did not say we would be charged an additional $20 for a service fee. The tax was almost $20 which was ok. I called my CC and they removed the entire fee. It is 111 deg in my house and we can’t fix it before tomorrow. I despise theives and that is what that co. is.Sandi W. Az

Some people wrote some bad reviews here. Frankly, I don’t even understand their complaints. My room was spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable. The WiFi was fast, TV worked just fine. Bathroom was just fine. The manager, Jackie, was friendly and helpful. No problems of any kind. And the price was very reasonable. This is an old school, family-run motel. Not everything is new, but it was clean, quiet, safe, comfortable and inexpensive.

June 2022Old motels are my favorite places to stay. Not this one! All I ever ask for is a clean place. Not fancy, not new just clean. When I went in to register, the front desk told me what room it was. We visited then I joked and said it's clean isn't it?! She called her dad from the back. He left for a few minutes . When he came back she gave me a different room. Weird but ok.I didnt look around the room and just unloaded my car. I went to gas up before I left and got something to eat. It was late when i got back.The room was dirty, had graffiti on the walls, the towels were stained and dirty, there was no way I would take a shower! The shower walls were coming off, paint peeling off the shelve, ceiling seams seperating, door barely locked, chair was nasty/stained, lights bulbs missing or not working, curtains attached in only a few places, bottom of the door was coming apart, I found a bug in my suitcase. If this was a clean room that they changed me to I'd hate to see the dirty one, yuck! In the morning i saw old mattresses and bed frames laying by the parking lot,. The swimming pool water looked gross, (not nice like the web site).You get what pay for, not with this place!Never again. DONT DO IT!!!

Nasty motel. Shady management. The Room smelled bad like there was something decomposing in there, or had been (Hopefully not someone!)... and the room had an overwhelming incense smell that still did not help with the nasty smells. I wanted to get a shut eye for the night on interstate travel and this was a total waste of time and money. Stay away from this motel even if the lower price looks good on the surface. You'll pay for not staying somewhere better.

This place used to be pretty good about 10 years ago when we stayed there, but it must have changed management. We stayed there last year and the rooms were filthy. There were strange hairs in the sink, the tub was dirty, the towels were dirty and the floor was sticky. We had to turn the heater on and it smelled really bad and we both woke up with headaches. Luckily we had our own bedding and we didn't even let our dog sleep on the floor. So gross! Now we know why the lobby sign said "No Refunds"!

This motel does not even deserve one star. I have never written a review but I want everyone to know NOT to stay here. EVER. I had three rooms tonight. The first room was never cleaned and had sharp objects in the carpet, also smelled like pee. The second room had a Severe ant infestation. Everywhere. The third room had dirty sheets with dirt and hairs ALL over it. The owner will not refund us. Had to get a new Motel at 3am. Clearly these rooms are never cleaned.

Everyone writing these reviews obviously doesnt know a good deal when they see one. Sure, this place is the most spot cleaned place but what a fantastic price for a fine room. Me and my friends stayed in a comfortable bed in a room with a hot shower for 10 dollars each. Nice manager and a nice TV. What more could you ask for from a motel?

Have stayed here in the past, but this time the room wasn't as clean, walls in bathroom needed a good scrubbing, hot water taps need some work, door needed weather stripping especially during the winter months as a great source of heat lost. Don't think I'll stay again unless a deep clean is done.

Great spot. Was passing through the area and had booked at the motel 6 in town and come to find out, there were a ton of bedbugs!!! So I cancelled hastily and received a refund and called the Safari here at 1am and the guy gave me a good price and got me checked in with no hassle. Good location. Comfortable rooms with comfy beds and good pillows. Hot shower, cold AC. Low price for a great room. Highly recommend to anybody in the area or passing through.

We went out of our way to go back a third night because I had found a very comfortable bed and pillow here, so didn't want to take my chances elsewhere. No bed bugs when I stayed. It was super cheap too! I liked the old fashioned 50's motel look just fine, and it was dead quiet and the room dark. It had a tub, plenty of hot water, and had a tea kettle for once- yay! Although you have to plug it in on the floor or set up things to prop it up to reach the outlet. Would be nice if they has some good tea to go with it. The manager is a beautiful person.

We arrived later in the evening and there was no one in the office. There was a bell to ring and when I rang the bell it was a child that came to help me who didn't know what he was doing. When his dad came and joined him it took him a minute to figure out where my reservation was. The hotel is located right next to an auto body store and there were junk cars all over around our room, also the dogs at this location were always out and running around and it scared my children. The room was not well cared for. The furniture was broken and the carpet stained. The tub was gross and I wouldn't dare put my children in it. The hotel allows pets and the people in the room next to us had a dog that barked a lot. Also there were people in camp chairs smoking most of the time we were there. My husband is a former cop and he didn't feel safe there. I would definitely spend more money and stay somewhere nicer.

I paid 44 bucks, an extremely cheap price. The room was nice, bed was comfortable. The front desk lady was funny and had character. The key-card machine looked like a piece of history. The place itself looks like a throwback to the 60s or maybe even 50s. If you are a snobby entitled Karen then don't stay here. Go stay at your sanitized boring Ramada or whatever.Safari Motel has character and grit and is a piece of real America. I would certainly stay here again. You can't get a much better deal elsewhere. Entitled and judgemental folks go somewhere else.

Everything was clean and the bed was large, and the heater worked really well. Also free wifi. However, the outlets were broken in half, the furniture was cheap, the mini fridge was warm, and the carpet was torn up. We didn't mind that though, it was a great deal for $35.

Least expensive in the area, but nothing fancy. We had a small cockroach at our nightstand and flies in the room. The lamp was unplugged and the room needs a paint job. Nice desk clerk and housekeeping staff.

I booked one night here and due to getting my car stuck in mud for 12 hours I wasn't ever able to even walk into the room. I requested another night or even a refund, but they refused to understand or corporate. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Best Western was full, so went down the road and got a room at the Safari Motel. (#7) Room was a cave. Main room light did not work, desk lamp had both cord unplugged and bulb unscrewed, plus no knob on switch. Lamp between the two queen beds did work!With curtains drawn and bathroom lights on, it was apparent that this room had not been dusted/cleaned in some time.50's motel that has never been updated. That is, in itself, not a deal breaker. The questionable cleanliness pushed us over the edge. We asked for a refund.To their credit, a refund was given with out issue or complaint.

Positives: Nice staff, bed was comfortable, linens clean, air worked, price was great.Negatives: carpet needs replacing, a little tlc would be better, a good cleaning, some up dating.Overall, comparing it to sleeping outside at campground with no electricity or water and sharing bathroom facilities paying the same price or more, Safari was the better choice for us.

I like the staff, they are very nice and do a good job the room was good. Too many stray cats trying to get in the room. These cats meed homes. Someone cares about these cats. Shame on anyone that abandons their cat at a motel. That's cruel and unacceptable. Someone who wants a kitty or maybe 6 people that want a kitty ought to come here and give these poor cats homes.
