The Abajo Lodge is in the middle of nowhere, but it is a welcome sight. The water is nice and the pet-friendly room was out of everyones way.I really appreciate the guy working the counter. He was fun to talk to.Walkability: There is a coffee place a block away thats nice for breakfast.

This inn is under new ownership. I can’t comment on the previous management but current the owners are super friendly and accommodating. They are working on cleaning and reopening the pool. The rooms are spacious and even has rooms with three beds perfect for larger families. Our friends with us, has their dogs with them and they have pet rooms as well. There is Mexican restaurant across the street and also a laundromat. FYI the Mexican restaurant is delicious Midwest style Mexican food.

Hey, I love simple rooms and a great price. Couldn't ask for more. I hate the luxury places with 12 million pillows and other stupid things to justify paying more money.Rooms: Nothing fancy, comfortable beds, had a wonderful night's sleep.

Under new ownership. Motel name may change soon, possibly Abajo Lodge or something similar. New owners were very friendly, welcoming & helpful. Have plans for upgrades. The housekeeping staff was great! Made us feel at home while our campervan was being repaired. Rooms are large, clean & quiet. Excellent value. Highly recommend. Looking forward to returning & seeing the changes the new owners made.Rooms: Large, very clean. Quiet - can't hear neighbors.Safety: On-site staff.Walkability: Easy walk to amenities in town.

This place is a great value! We needed a place to stay on the way from Moab to the Grand Canyon after our camping night in Moab didn’t work out. We picked this property as we were leaving Moab and we were very happy with it! The room was large, clean and everything worked - there’s a little coffee maker, a refrigerator, microwave and TV. The beds were super comfortable and the shower was hot. Even the parking lot was clean and we felt totally safe here. Great little place to stay!

The owner has been in a pickle for a while as no one wants to work for a living any more. He is wearing all the hats, general manager, housekeeper, front desk, and everything in between. I hope he knows how much we appreciate what work he completed and that our room was in fact clean. While this is an older motel, peace and quiet is what we wanted and that is exactly we received. Thank you sir for everything you are doing and good luck with finding someone who isn't afraid of a little hard work. Living the American Dream! v

Holy Smokes. This is actually a decent place to stay. The rates are great. My room was spotless, beds were well made and comfortable, The bathroom was of a good size with outstanding water pressure. The room was large with a big TV and free wifi. I highly recommend you give this place a shot if yer in the area. You won't be disappointed especially considering a double is less than $80.

A nice surprise. Room was clean and had upgraded bathroom. Beds were a little hard, but not too bad. They had 2 blankets for each bed which was nice. Shower was hot and had good pressure, by the 3rd shower there was some rust in the water. Front desk area had dirty carpets and the staff lady was helpful, but not super friendly. I would stay there again.

We had no hot water. There was no one in the office to tell. We were going to ask to go into another room for showers but couldn't do that. No breakfast that was advertised. I called the number on the door to let Scott know about the water and I asked for an adjustment on my bill. He told me not to go there and hung up on me. Very, very rude man. He does not know how to treat guests. Don't stay there!

I liked the room, the a/c worked great and the spacious bathroom with the nice thick towels was awesome. It was also nice to not have neighbors above/below us. Parking right at the door. There is a lot of road noise due to the semi trucks constantly passing by. The breakfast was very basic and not well stocked/managed. The pool and hot tub were empty/closed. Overall, not a bad place to stay.

The place is a little dated but was clean and comfortable. The lady in the front desk is very friendly and helpful. The motel has a small swimming pool and spa, but didn't try them out due to the weather.There's no on-site laundry, but there's a laundromat just across the street. The wifi was OK, although it barely worked around 8 or 9pm which is common in motels. The TV had plenty of channels so can't complain. Would definitely go back.

Stayed here when I was in town on business. Front desk clerk was helpful and friendly. Room was clean and large. Shower was good; bed was comfortable, with two pillows on each bed. I didn't have breakfast on this stay, but it is available in a small building next door to the hotel. I plan to stay here again.

I wanted a cheap decent place to stay as we traveled through. This was ok. It was clean. The pool was great. The a/c didn't work well, room was hot. The breakfast is simple cereal or toast. Maybe a few other things if you get there early. The fan in the bathroom didn't work. I wouldn't stay here again because i think for a little more money you could get a lot more comfort somewhere else.

My boyfriend and I needed a place to sleep after being on the road for days. When asked if there was a shower, the man was quite rude. We got to our room and it had not been made. The bed was a wreck and it was obvious a maid had not cleaned it. We informed the front desk and he seemed to only blame the maid and didn't offer anything except hastily offering a new room. This room was clean, but it's very dated. No breakfast as well. Between the rude service and and already used room, I think we'll pass on staying here again.

We had a great stay for one night in Wayside motel The room was super clean and tidy there was no breakfast but they hotel put coffee and the coffee maker in our room that was all i want it the size of the room was big it had iron, Hair dryer everything was clean and in great condition

It would've been a 3 star rating had we not experienced a 6AM lock-out with NO AVAILABLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Thankfully our friends were next door and we could hang in their room. At 10AM, cleaning came by and she kindly let us back in to scramble out for the 11AM checkout. The front office was still locked by the time we drove away.Pool and hot tub are clearly out of commission, full time. No breakfast to be had. Sprinkles of hair dusted our sheets and a consistent shower leak kept us up (slight noise and concern for wasted water).Overall, a cheap last minute place that was completely disappointing.*Oh, and no masks worn + the front desk helper was picking his nose when I walked in. Not very comforting during a pandemic (or ever?)*
