My experiences overall have been great when purchasing items for my dog. The reason I am giving 3 stars is due to the grooming department. I was told at my dogs grooming appointment a few weeks ago that nothing came out of her anal glands. After an urgent vet visit today that cost me $100, the vet informed me my dogs anal glands were MASSIVE. He stated that he believed the groomer was just not educated on how to express the anal glands of a bigger dog. I have a Great Dane that weighs 150 lbs, so just be aware of that if you have a bigger dog.

I love having somewhere in town that provides larger bags of dry cat food and large variety packs of wet cat food. My kids also love coming in and seeing all the animals. Sometimes it's a little short staffed like everywhere else and takes some extra time checking out, but the employees have always been great even in the busier times.

Do not buy fish here. We have taken a chance a few times and I have asked the employees directly if they are sick with ick or any other illness. Each time we’ve taken their word and purchased fish, we’ve had an outbreak in our aquarium resulting it multiple losses and besides replacing or refunding the most recently purchased, sick fish, they won’t do anything. It’s extremely frustrating being lied to, have existing fish die, and being told we’re SOL because “it’s not our policy.” Go to J’s Jungle for your fish. Great, knowledgeable staff and they care about their animals. Haven’t lost a single fish with any bought from there.

We brought in our puppy early for a grooming appt. Conner checked us in, even though he was not the grooming dept that day. Grooming wasn't there yet for their shift. Conner is patient, kind, and so understanding.

Typically, I've never had negative experiences at this store for grooming. Took my golden doodle in today for a bath and haircut and it took over 6 hours for what was supposed to be a 3 or 4 hour appointment. Ordinarily, not a big deal, except that we received a call from the groomer (Victoria) that she wasn't able to finish his haircut because he kept "throwing his weight around". She told me that there were "multiple" notes about him doing that, but wouldn't give me any specifics except for one note from over 3 years ago (he was 6 months old at the time) and was very short with me while I looked him over. Not a fan of her interactions or how she dealt with my dog. Will not be returning to this location.

The fish selection used to be great but lately they seem to be in rougher shape. Dropped in just to see what they had and how much it's changed in the last few years. I bought my first 29g fish tank and African cichlids a while back. More fish seemed to be sickly and the tanks seemed like they hadn't been cleaned recently. The koi and goldfish seemed pretty healthy though! Hope PetSmart can step up on caring for their fish!

Pet Smart has a solid selection of... just about everything I can think of, that you might need or want for your pet. And I'm pleasantly surprised by how clean they keep it while having pets enter with their owners. It doesn't even smell - and I've watched animals decide to go to the restroom in there!My only dislike is the overall price of everything. I get my dogwood elsewhere for that reason. But there are several things I can't find anywhere else except online. So yeah, good, clean, well organized store (with ALWAYS friendly employees by the way) that I would recommend you check out for yourself.

I feel that a 1 star rating is the only way this will get noticed. Don’t get me wrong my husband and I love petsmart. They always have what we need for our bettas and African dwarf frogs. Employees are always kind and helpful if we have questions. However when we came in the other day, I was so saddened by the condition of some of the bettas. Yellow water, laying on their sides, droopy and ragged fins. There was even 1 I saw that was dead. Please take better care of your betta fish :( this was so sad and upsetting to see.

I really like this location compared to others! Pet corporations don’t have ideal ways of getting animals, but my two conures I’ve purchased from this store have been healthy, and they’re so fun! The employees are all very kind, and I love to bring my birds with me inside. It’s always relatively clean, and most of the animals have adequate space.

Pricing is the really fair for what they carry and they also have some really cool stuff that I can't find elsewhere.I love that they have adoption programs here as well.

I suggest anyone with an established fish tank does not buy fish here. Doesn’t matter if it was before the new tanks or after. Their fish always have ick. And kill several of our current fish in our established tank. I will never buy another fish here. Which is disappointing because we bought everything we needed. Tank, stand, gravel. And many more items to get ours started. But we can’t buy the fish.

I always get the best help from the staff here, especially the cashier. I’ll have to get her name! She is always super enthusiastic and helpful. She even gave us a coupon today and because we are struggling a bit financially, it seriously made our day. Thank you

They don't take care of their animals. Dead animals were still in the cages and tanks. Their customer service also sucks. If I could do zero stars I would. Would never go again.

Went for small feeder fish and 1 red slider turtle 🐢... come to find out the turtles were 1/2 off, so wound up getting 2 red slider turtles 🐢 😀 and feeder fish fair extremely good price.. staff are super helpful and friendly ever time I go here.. keep up the good work guys.. 👏Wonderful job on the new fish viewing area, always come for my feeder fish for the turtles, always in stock and healthy 😁.Just wish you guys would start carrying large rats for my snake 🐍...just food for thought 🤔

Went to look at the cats for adoption. Volunteer or Employee for Cache Valley Humane Society was there outside the cages changing signs. Little boy was banging with fists on glass. She saw he was doing this, scaring the cats. She did nothing. I stepped in to tell the boy to stop banging with both fists on glass. Employee/Volunteer watched as I was verbally abused by the father of the boy for asking him to stop hitting the glass. I stood up for the animals while she did nothing. Didn't step in and say, actually don't let your son do this. She then told me she wasn't a loud to ask people to not bang or hit the glass. Man verbally threatened me, I wasn't scared of him bc he was a tiny man that obviously has ego issues. However, I talked to petsmart employee, they said I shouldn't have to fight for the animals, said Volunteer/employee should have said something. When Cache Valley Humane Society Volunteer didn't care when cats are being treated poorly or abused. Petsmart should get a different shelter in their establishment. Not this one. I will never stand back and tolerate animal abuse like the employee/Volunteer did. Please Petsmart, get shelters who care.
