My overall experiences at this store has been mostly very positive, but the recent visit with employee 'Hannah' at the gun counter was horrendous.I wanted to explore small CC pistols for my wife, seeking options without intending an immediate purchase. Despite conveying my knowledge of firearms to politely signal that we wanted to be left alone, Hannah insisted on cutting me off mid-conversation multiple times with a loud voice to my wife who didn’t even want to talk to her. She recommended a heavier mid-size pistol to my wife, implying it must be over $400 for reliability. This interrupting, unsolicited advice, coupled with a demeaning undertone, left a very negative impression for both of us. I literally just wanted her to hand me a few guns to hold, and that’s the only thing I asked initially. Yikes!!!Train your gun counter staff, especially Hannah, not to assume customers' knowledge levels and avoid pushing unsolicited opinions just because they want to for some odd reason. People will ask directly if they want your opinion or don’t know firearms.As a result, I won't be returning for the planned gun purchases, opting for Al's instead.

Wide open truck-friendly parking lot. I called ahead and they had no issue with me parking my semi for a few hours to shop with them and a few other places in the area. During the day on a Saturday no less!

I took down my 5 star rating. This location has gone downhill. I went in to return a pair of child snowboots. They did not have the original tags on them because they were a Christmas present, however I had my original receipt. At the bottom of the receipt it states that returns can be made within 60 days, which I was well within that range. The manager told me that I was past the return window (without even checking the receipt) and the boots "looked worn". They were just as new as they day I bought them. I accepted his response and figured it wasn't worth arguing over and making a scene. As we browsed the store so many isle were unorganized with items falling off the shelves, clothes scattered on the floor throughout the clothing sections and shoe boxes that were in the middle of the isle and not put back. I am disappointed and won't be returning.UPDATE: I attempted my return at the Pocatello, ID location and they were so friendly and accepted my return.

The staff is so rude and the red head cashier had no idea what she's doing. Instead of flirting with each other and mocking customers they should figure out how to run the cashier and their policies. The Manger came to assist after an issue and the girl kept blaming me for the problem and as I am mid-sentence explaining what happened to him he interrupted me to answer a phone call that was not important at all. SO RUDE!

We can always find what we are looking for. Great selection, very neat and tidy and organized store. Plenty of helpful employees around if assistance is ever needed. Great location on the North end of town so you don't have to get into nasty traffic of downtown.

Standlee products. Certified noxious weed free, grass pellets. They can't keep them in stock. My suggestion to management, " please purchase more"!If you are stopped and asked to see your hay certification / your pellet certification the bag reads right on front, "certified noxious weed free". And don't forget to leave the pellets in the bag.

I’ve been shopping this store since I was a little boy joining my grandma on store runs for various things. Anything, ranging from quality clothing to wear (farm & ranch approved☑️); to hunting/fishing gear; feed for your animals; or my favorite gummy snacks *found only atC-A-L ranch* this store is BY FAR the SUPERIOR store to shop if you’re considering D&B Supply or Tractor Supply Company as the alternative.

Everyone is always so willing to help. This year with the chick buying frenzy they've been so overwhelmed with questions about raising chickens I've actually talked to people because the employees are so busy and they always let me know they appreciate the assist.

I shopped 3 departments of the store for various things I needed/wanted. Everyone was very helpful and knowledgeable with the items I was after. They were also very friendly. I will be returning to this store on my next trip to the area.

After a not so great experience here a year ago, I decided to go back and I was very happy with the service from the blond young man at the gun counter on Memorial Day for their sale. He was knowledgeable, helped me pick out the right gun. He even sold me ammo which is hard to come by now. He thanked me for my service as a veteran and was very kind. Unlike some of the other past employees at the gun counter. I'll definitely come back if more employees are friendly.

Nice and clean store, friendly staff. Great variety of products but some are a bit overpriced for me. I can get them for less from Amazon and I don't want to, but it's why they are taking over so much business unfortunately. They are giving better prices for the same products and it comes to my house for me when I'm too busy to get out to shop! But this is a merchant worth trying to save from the grasp of the "Amazon Effect"!

Bait and switch and terrible customer service. I traveled 40 miles to take advantage of the coupon in the attached photo only to have the store NOT honor it. They claim the coupon is only for camping items, but it says that NOWHERE on the coupon. It does say what is excluded which I understood completely. The fact that they would not honor this even though the coupon is not clear shows me that customer service is not a priority for the Logan store. The employees are not empowered to make correct decisions and in this situation they’ve lost a customer and the revenue on all of the product I was going to purchase and ended up having to pay an employee to restock the product. The coupons need to show specifically what does not apply. Terrible customer service and employees who don’t care.

I’m giving this store a 1.8. I had just won a buckle and was looking for a belt. The store had plenty of inventory and selection at fair prices. That part of my shopping experience was great. But despite a viral pandemic raging in Utah, none of the staff were wearing masks. At least 1 in 50 Utahns are infected with the virus. Not good odds when there were about 10 staff and another 15 or so customers, almost all unmasked, in an indoor space. I got out of there as quick as I could and probably won’t ever shop there again.

Cal ranch has been a go to for me and family for many things. I was very disappointed when I recently visited with my family and was buying bog boots for my kids. We simply asked if they were a part of the 30% winter boots discount and quickly had Todd , the store manager, rudely jump down our throats about how they were not a part of the discount and exactly why they were not. We simply asked if they were part of the discount and a nice, “I’m am sorry, they are not.” Would have been much more appreciated.

I give this place a two. Why you might ask? As much as I like going looking around in the store not once have I ever been greeted by staff and I have never had staff ask me if I needed help. When I was shopping for boots never once was I given advice about what type of boot would be good for my foot.....I wound up buying a pair of boots thankfully it fits well. But I do know sometimes you need help with selecting just the right fit!! Especially with expensive leather boots... And not to mention, I wind up waiting at the checkout line for an undetermined amount of time while the cashier is doing god knows what. I usually wind up having to cough or clear my voice so they can hopefully hear they have a customer over at the counter area...... There should be a cashier at or near the counter within eye sight at all times while the cash register is open!!!!!

I stopped in today looking for some yard tools (trimmer, edger and blower), and I walked out of the store extremely impressed. I was helped by the manager, Mike. He was very knowledgeable about the equipment and he went WAY above and beyond getting me all set up with my new gear. I feel like I got an excellent deal on the products that I purchased... way better than what I could find for the same products anywhere else in the valley. This was my first purchase from CAL, but I will definitely shop there again after this experience.

I've been a loyal customer for several years, but since their moving to the new store, I'm tempted to go the few extra blocks to IFA. Lately, I've found C-A-L Ranch lines at the cashier are not only long, they're also slow. Other employees will be buzzing around the checkout area, but for some reason don't bother to man another register.The other day when the cashier asked, "Did you find everything you wanted?" I replied, "No, unfortunately I didn't." She just gave me a dumb look as though she had no idea what to say. Then she smiled and quickly responded, "Well...uh...have a good one!"Sadly, this isn't the only time it has happened in the recent few weeks.Also, have you ever tried to give them a call? I don't know how many times I've called during business hours and they never bother to answer the phone.Of course, the manager will undoubtedly respond with the canned, "Chip, I'm sorry for your experience, ....yahda, yahda, yahda." But probably nothing will get done. They'll still have cashiers and other employees wandering around not knowing where anything is.UPDATE: June 22, 2022Dang! Just when things seemed like they were turning around. In my opinion, C.A.L. Ranch had definitely improved over the last several months. But...maybe tonight just wasn't my night. I went in this evening around 5:30 to pick up a fence wire crimping tool. I wandered around the store for a while, but couldn't seem to find the right area.Then I spotted three employees, a man and two women, visiting around a rack of clothing. I approached and they continued visiting. Finally I said, "Excuse me, but could you tell me where the fencing supplies are?"The two women gave me a blank stare. It was obvious they didn't know what I was talking about. They then both looked at the guy. He pointed and said, "Over there towards the back."I still wasn't sure where he meant, then he said, "Y'know, when you go back there and it opens up...well, it's around there."I guess he could tell I was still somewhat perplexed so he said, "Uh, I'll show ya."We got to the area and he pointed, "Over there." I saw what I thought was the right tool, checked it out and found out that it wasn't what I was looking for and started to ask the employee....but he had vanished.At this point, I figured, "Forget it!" and walked out of the store.As I was leaving, the girl behind the counter called, "Thanks for shopping with us!"But no problem. This story has a happy ending. I went a couple blocks north to IFA. I walked in the door and saw a high school-aged-looking young lady behind the counter. I asked, "I'm looking for a fence wire crimping tool."Without batting an eye, she said, "Isle 23. Drew will help you find what you want." What a difference!!! Thanks IFA.

They always have great deals on allot of product throughout the store. Staff is friendly and will almost always help people in need taking things out to there car. I usually go there specifically for animal feed and smoking pellets for my grill. They are always cheaper than the competition down the road.

We visited this store last year and found the service, pricing and product range to be excellent! The gentleman behind the Firearms counter was especially knowledgeable and just a nice genuine bloke! Will definitely shop here again when we are next in Logan :)

I have really appreciate the staff at C-A-L ranch. I do not shop there often, but they are a store that if you know what you need, you can find it. However it is not a store that the normal person could spend hours in. They have great sales, and have multiple copies of their adds at the door so you can get their discounts as well. Good place for more of your home/yard needs.

I love cal ranch! They always have what I need on the shelf. If I can't find it there is always someone there to greet me and show me where I can find the item I'm looking for. I get a good amount of my fishing and hunting supply from cal ranch and never had a problem with my supply. I will recommend them to all my family and friends.

I called in asking about some riding boots I saw online and wanted to try on in the store. At first they were very nice and went looking for them for me. But then a supervisor got on the phone and was very unprofessional. I explained to her again about the boots I was looking for. She angrily told me she didn't even know what they were. I described them in more detail and told her about the ones I saw online. She proceeded to tell me that they don't carry the boots, that no one does and that she had never even seen them online. I was not impressed with her customer service skills. I have been into the store before and never had an issue but this was a disheartening experience. I will not be calling or going in again.

Poor customer service. I tried to return or exchange an item on clearance the next day after I bought it but was told no. It wasn’t marked final sale. I also wasn’t told by the cashier that it was final sale when I bought it or I wouldn’t have tried to exchange it. The lady running the front cashier desk didn’t even try to work with me since it was their mistake. I would have just picked a different item also on clearance.

I went into the store looking for a string mower. that is like a weed eater that is got two wheels and is a size and shape of a regular lawn mower has about a 22in cutting swath with very heavy string that will take out bushes. In Logan I have found two other stores that had one available and it was a mid-range upper mid-range model they both had one each in their store one was box one was floor model. Hey Cal ranch that had either three or four different models at a considerable range of price three were lower than the one I had seen elsewhere at the other two stores and one of the one one of them was a higher-end model. it was nice to see the variety and have a choice of what I really wanted. I enjoyed CAL ranch very much.

Cal Ranch does NOT stand behind their products!Not happy.My wife bought four americana Easter Egger laying hens from Cal ranch.One had a scissor beak and couldn’t eat and died of starvation and another one was a rooster!That’s two hens out of the four we purchased that were actually hens that can produce. 50%We called Cal Ranch let them know how much money we spent on feed and the purchase of the hens to ask if we could return them or get reimbursed for the BAIT AND SWITCH.They refused!Cal Ranch does not stand behind their products. And they couldn’t care less about their customers!!Thumbs down!
