I hesitate to leave a good review as it only makes it harder to schedule my next appointment. The team at Layton Veterinary Hospital does an amazing job. I really appreciate their sincerity to do all they can for my pet. After treating my dog elsewhere with returning symptoms it appears my money was better spent here in getting a one-stop-shop resolution.

This place is amazing. I've been here 3 times for 3 different pets and had to get 2 of them fixed. Very friendly environment and they are reasonably priced and I highly recommend going here for veterinarian needs.

Had a appointment for my 10 month old puppy, but had a scheduling conflict with my wife which ended up with me taking a 10 month old puppy, and 2 toddlers for the appointment. Which you can imagine is a recipe for disaster. The vet was so awesome and came out to the truck to grab the puppy and take him in for his shots and bring him back out. They went out of their way to help! Great customer service!

I just wanted to add that the photos are too graphic of my cats face to share the damage you did to her sinuses. And if reviewing the X-rays was something that would have helped that should have been done before you took out half her face.Update: My cat had to be euthanized 3 months after her surgery. I took my 19 year old cat in because she had a tooth abscess diagnosed by emergency vet. They did pre bloodwork for her surgery. It came back that she needs to be on a kidney diet. The vet also showed me the tooth root and what needed to be pulled. I took her in for the surgery. The vet called to tell me that she has cancer and he removed a “large piece” of bone if I would like it to be sent to the lab. At this point I was very confused. Unfortunately my cat is now in worse condition than when I took her in for the dental. To be honest I feel like the vet possibly broke her face during surgery. I’ve been at their mercy because I need her to stay on the antibiotics she hates because her face is swollen. I’m hoping maybe they got the tooth root and it’s possible it will close and heal to where she can go off the antibiotics. I was also shocked to find that the vet that did her exam didn’t do her surgery. When I picked her up they changed her diet to the cancer diet. I asked about the kidney diet and they said oh! Does she even like the kidney food. I’m just very sad I spent a lot of money between visits, food, surgery and medication. I had 2 vets say it’s her tooth and her final diagnosis was cancer? Her surgery was beginning of December, I hope she makes it until her favorite season summer but not if she’s suffering. I didn’t authorize bone to be removed from her face.

Actually been really happy with this place. All things considering many places were not accepting new patients, and my dog was in dire need of a visit to the vet, they had me covered and got my dog in within a week. Solid the staff is super nice and you can tell they really care about and understand the animals they see.

I've been taking my pets to Layton Veterinary Hospital for 20 years. I've always been well taken care of, but the staff there outdid themselves recently when my dog passed away at home and I took his body to Layton Veterinary Hospital, for cremation. At a time of extreme sadness, the staff made me feel special and shared my grief. They even offered me all the privacy possible. Then, they offered to wash and return the blankets used to get my dog's body there. Wow, what a great staff and place!

Not really that friendly , or helpful or descriptive . Prescribed medicine to help my dog but did not provide any other help or advice . Spent about 10 min total in the patient room and charged $200 plus . I would reccomend going somewhere else with more helpful vets they will charge you the same here for a worse experience .

Wonderful staff, and very attentive. My doggo needed urgent care, and I took her to Layton Veterinary Hospital without advanced notice. The staff were compassionate and friendly, and got us in / evaluated by the Veterinarian, They took great care of Raven, and we were able to go home. 10 star care. Thank you!

LOVE! this vet! We have been going to Layton Vet for the past 14 years and they have always been and are so great with us and our furbabies! From yearly visits, when it was time for us to help our Abby girl cross the rainbow bridge, and recently, getting our Ozzy boy neutered! They are fantastic! We love the drs and all the employees there. They have always been so helpful and compassionate when needed. Definitely recommend them!

Unbelievably caring and professional staff. Our poodle was hit by a car and died en route to Layton Vet Hospital. They were amazingly caring and took such good care of us and our beloved pet. The lock of hair, collar, typed note and casket were at no charge were such nice touches and really warmed our hearts as we mourned and buried our friend.

I took my dog in for the first time to get a checkup and vaccinations. Everyone was so excited to see my dog and they were all friendly and professional. I barely waited 3 minutes before they brought us back and the appointment only took around 10 minutes. The vet was very friendly and he and the tech did everything they could to keep my dog calm and comfortable while they examined him and administered shots. I would recommend Layton Veterinary Hospital to anyone looking for a good veterinarian!

We’ve only been here once so far, but Layton Veterinary Hospital was fantastic. I was looking for a second opinion on a prior diagnosis we had from my dog’s previous vet, a clinic where I was never satisfied with the service. Dr. Fawcett spent a ton of time giving my boy a surprisingly comprehensive exam, walking me through the results and X-rays, and providing his expert (and logical) opinion and our options. The visit wasn’t cheap, as no serious vet visits ever are, but I truly felt like I got my money’s worth. I’m also certain the cost would be higher at our previous vet. Thank you so much Dr. Fawcett and team, we will definitely be returning.

We have been working with Layton Veterinary Hospital for over two years now. We have brought both our dogs to them over the years and have always had a wonderful experience. Anytime our dogs have procedures or issues they always call to check up on them later. The veterinarians are incredibly knowledgeable and kind. The staff is always friendly and helpful! We have since moved about 30 minutes away and still go to them because of what a great experience we’ve always had. Not to mention their prices are ALWAYS fair!

The Veterinarian and Staff were welcoming to my two dogs with encouragement and pats. The Veterinarian took the time to listen to my concerns and provided me with many tools to assist the two dogs with their various ailments. They took their time and were very patient. I had been going to Layton veterinary clinic for almost 30 years. We started when they were located in Clearfield next to Ren's paint and glass. We went to Dr. Taylor for a while and then came back to Dr. Fawcett and Maxfield because Dr. Taylor got too busy. Dr. Fawcett put down our golden retriever and a cat and was so kind and thoughtful. This time I try to get one of my puppies in suspecting a UTI and they couldn't even work me in. Every person I talk to gave me different information. I was spoken to in a condescending way I made you feel like I wasn't an existing patient. I'm planning on transferring my dogs records to a new vet. I'm not upset with the vet I'm upset at the people they have working there there's absolutely no customer service provided. Would not recommend. If they're that busy that they can't treat their own patients with kindness and concern they are not my kind of vet!

After taking our pets to a Vet in Murray for several years and moving to Layton we decided to switch to a Vet closer to home. So far we have had only had to take our pets to this vet a couple of times. Each time we have had to take out pets to this Vet they have been treated kindly and with great care. We are paying no more than we did with our last Vet, so the complaints on here of being overpriced seem a little exaggerated to me and somewhat trivial. Dr. Maxfield and the front desk staff have been kind and courteous, explain things well, and call a few days later to check up on the pet we have brought in to see how they are doing. I feel they do care and I feel comfortable bringing both of my fur babies to this Vet.

I am so frustrated with how my visit went. Not only did I wait 30 minutes after my appointment time. But was treated terribly for how my dogs teeth looked, but was told it was normal for Pomeranians to have bad teeth. My dog is 12 years old, she’s started losing her teeth, she had one that was loose, without asking me, he pulled the tooth, then charged me $63 for “pre-surgical dental work” like I didn’t ask. Nor did I say it was okay.I used to be confident in bring my dogs here, but I will be going somewhere else.

We were so pleased with the outstanding care our precious 10--year-old whippet received at Layton Veterinary Hospital!He was suffering from high blood pressure and kidney failure. The doctor and staff treated him (and us) with kindness and compassion. He was given the best professional medical care possible. They were so kind and patient with us as well.Even though out sweet boy couldn't be saved, he had the best care possible right up to the last minute. I have been taking both my dogs and cats here for many years. They are always great at answering my questions. I always feel like I get the best help for my pets when I go here. I also unfortunately had to put down my dog recently and they went above and beyond to try and make this time easier for my family and I. They made sure they scheduled us at the end of the day so there were less other people around. They gave me several options on taking care of my dog. I also received a condolences card from them along with prints of my dogs paw. This is the vet I go out of my way to bring my animals to I would highly recommend.

We decided to try Layton veterinary Hospital because it was closer to our home. While the staff is friendly and knowledgeable, good luck trying to get an appointment that isn’t weeks out. If you pet gets sick or injured do not anticipate being able to get in to see a doctor. They do not leave room in their schedule for unforeseen circumstances for your pet. It’s sad really. We called our old Vet Doctor and they were able to get us right in. When I called the Layton clinic back and asked them to transfer my records they didn’t seem to mind they had lost a client. Very disappointed with the level of care and commitment to my pets health. Instead, I highly recommend Quail Point Veterinarian, we definitely will travel the extra distance to get quality, timely care.
