I had a bad experience in the store with very aggressive staff. I had gone in to buy a phone charger (a transaction which took about 20 minutes due to the speed of the checkout member.) Note - when I exited the store with the charger after purchasing the charger the alarm did NOT go off. I wasn't sure if it was the correct charger that I needed so kept the receipt. After discovering that the charger was the wrong one I went back to the store to find a replacement or get a refund. I got out of my truck with my charger and receipt and entered the store. However I realized that I had left my wallet in my truck so I went back outside to my truck which was parked right outside the store doors. Whilst I was opening the door to my truck a staff member came rushing out shouting at me saying that I had stolen the item and that the alarm was going off! I tried to explain to her that I was just getting my wallet with the card that I bought the item on for a refund or a replacement whilst I showed her the receipt to which she carried on being aggressive towards me and escorted me back into the store and aggressively told me to go to the counter. I defended myself and told her that there was no need to be aggressive to which the person behind the checkout told me that I needed to calm down and was very rude to me. I showed her the receipt and I got a refund because at that point I wasn't interested in seeing if I could get a replacement. I explained that it wasn't my fault the staff member who sold me the item hadn't deactivated the alarm and pointed out that the alarm had not gone off when I originally bought the item I'm at I was just merely returning and item that wasn't right. However that did not appease any of the staff and I left feeling extremely humiliated for what was no reason and I have never gone back since and never will do. I live just two blocks away and now I do all my shopping at Dollar Tree several miles away and avoid Family Dollar at all costs. They clearly need to train their stuff to de-escalate and allow customers the opportunity to explain.

A great place for great bargains, The store is so convenient I go there probably 7-12 times a week. Kimber is always nice to talk to and she takes her job very seriously, She keeps that store in order, things are where they should be. The employees seem to be trained efficiently and are able to do there jobs. If you are looking for a place to stop and grab a few cheap things and don't know where to stop, I highly HIGHLY recommend the Family Dollar in La Verkin!

I'm loving how cheap this place is, I was gonna go to Maverick but they kinda expensive and Family Dollar was right next door so I went there instead. Don't get me wrong I love Maverick but Family dollar is just that much cheaper. Plus Family dollar isn't as busy, while Maverick or Davis, I have a chance of running into somebody I know. My only problem with Family dollar is that they should have more of a drink variety. They have all the snacks but not many drinks.

Cashiers are rude, take forever. I rang the bell twice going to the register I normally do, the lady that was behind the counter ignored the bell till other people came. Than continued to tell me to move to the other register, she saw me unloading my stuff onto the counter and told me to move after. Than continued to tell my daughter what to do, she was rude and you could just feel the negative energy coming from her. I’ve never left a negative review over a company but I truly feel my energy effected by this encounter. Sucks because I really loved this store.

It's a dollar store, they have dollar store things, but for some reason I feel like they don't really have a great selection, which is odd considering they are located 45 minutes from a distribution center. The medicine aisle is always extremely understocked but that could easily be excused by the presence of tourism in this area.

The owners of this family dollar are horrible. The cashiers have to enter the upc in to get an item to ring up. The scanners are broken. The employees have to struggle to do their jobs and customers have to wait a long time to get rung up. Always problems at this family dollar. Lazy, greedy owners. To cheap to get things fixed.

The owner should be embarrassed to have the little blonde girl behind the counter. She never comes to the register and when she does she's rude and has to sigh at least 10 times to let you know she doesn't want to be there. We are all on the same page bc the customers don't want her there either. Such an embarrassment to Family Dollar. She is the reason you have customers going out of their way to go anywhere else.

It's a pretty cool little store and little store chain! Not everything is one dollar. I think the isles are a little narrower to pack more stuff in. They don't have everything but they do have a good variety from clothes, toys, tools, house bedding, cooking stuff like pots plates silverware and spatulas, makeup, toilet stuff, reading/sun glasses, frozen/refrigerated food, also other foods such as dry good chips cookies and stuff, also electronics like headphones off brand video game systems, they had a remote control helicopter at one and a remote control drone at another. The thing is it's a small space so they have a small section for each category. I got a DVD, breath strips, and a dollar energy shot this time.

My original review follows and had 5 stars. However I have recently learned their biggest draw, which was the store manager, was fired and arrested. Through my investigations in the circumstances it is my opinion that she was the victum of some higher placed employee placing blame on her for his/her illicit act or mistake. Such actions are unacceptable and I will never again enter any of their stores and will actively encourage anyone I can to boycott that company. Loyal service should not be rewarded thusly. They deserve negative 10 stars.------------------------------Normally I have not been a big fan of the growing plethora of discount merchandising. I have always felt them to be an unnecessary niche in the Capitalist venue. I have now found the exception to the rule. This little store is more like visiting a respected neighbor for a quickly needed "cup of sugar" than it is begging for a life saving drink of water in a parched "Death Valley". Though my needs were small, I was made to feel like I mattered and was offerred not only alternatives I had not considered but on one occasion given advice on where I might obtain something to better serve my needs although it was from a competing nearby merchant. Talk about 'De Ja Vu' from the Miracle on 34th Street. I have had a paradigm shift and will never view these "Littlest Angels" from my previous point of view again. With my heartfelt appreciation, I doff my hat to you Manager Cassi (sp ?) and wish you long life, peace, and prosperity in your future endeavers. I hope your regional manager realizes the Pearl of Great Price he/she currently possesses.

I have visited this store in La Verkin, UT, several times. I love it..It's organized and clean and the staff is friendly.I've remodeled 3 rooms and many of my selected decor items have been purchased here..I love them all..Decorate on a budget and find some unique fun items to show off your new room!

Looks almost like they're going out of business. Shelves are at a minimum with many just empty. More items discounted than not. Clean, quiet and quick.

Everything is not a dollar, but this is a great local shop for many everyday items, home decor, and clothing, toiletries, etc. The name Family Dollar is appropriate because of the low cost and convenient location for families in need.

Stopped on the way to Zion to pick up a few last minute needs. We were in the store for almost 10 minutes and never found a cashier! We walked around the joint like we owned it. Went to the gas station next door to get our supplies.

Love buying all my small things here, it down the street from where we live, and the prices can't be beat. I usually get all my cleaning supplies, outdoor decor, garden, and fingernail polish stuff.
