Had an amazing time at this cafe in the small town of Koosharem UT. We happened to stay at an Airbnb across the street and therefore had the opportunity to have several meals at this cafe. The pancakes were large and fluffy and the French toast with powdered sugar (on the side) was tasty. The Koosharem burger was delicious and the homemade pie had a light flaky crust with nicely cooked apples and was not too sweet. We did not try any of their soups until the last day and expect that was a mistake as we had the taco soup for lunch as we headed out and it was the best soup we have ever had. We also enjoyed hot chocolate, lemonade, and the malts!Having breakfast the first morning we had a great time eating the wonderful food and getting to talk with a local that drove in on his ATV to get one of their creamy malts for him and his dog. The town and cafe were the small feel and hospitality we were hoping for when we booked our trip and it did not disappoint. In addition to the great food, being in town for 3 days, we also were lucky enough to get know the family who own and operate the cafe. In a year where it sometimes has felt like the country is tearing itself apart it was nice to meet these warm and friendly folks that treated us like family every time we came in.I can definitely say we will be back to this small town as we are already missing the atmosphere, friendship, and food!

We were headed back to Colorado when we stumbled upon this little cafe. There were only a few others inside, and it was run by only one person. I didn't catch her name, but she was very friendly and did a great job!The prices were low and the menu made it hard to choose. We settled on a mushroom swiss burger and a double bacon cheeseburger. I couldn't resist the Tuesday soup special of tomato macaroni for only $1.75, especially after camping in the cool weather. The soup was hot and just what I needed to warm up. Both burgers hit the spot, but the double bacon cheeseburger was phenomenal. The bacon must've been local because it had a smokey, fresh flavor. We also had an order of onion rings and fries, both of which were good. I have never heard of 'fry sauce', but it appeared to be a mixture of mayo and ketchup. It tasted good on the fries and great on the burgers. We really wanted to try the homemade pie, but were both too full to eat anything else. The other side of the restaurant had DVD rentals and an open area with taxidermy hanging from the walls. We enjoyed listening to the conversations of the locals about the rodeo. It was such a cute little place and we would definitely return!

The ham and cheese omelets are terrific with crispy hash browns. The grilled ham and cheese sandwiches and English chips are fantastic. Taco soup can't be beat! Homemade daily yummy cherry, blueberry, and apple pies. Great place to meet with the locals and chew the fat in a comfy friendly atmosphere. Congrats to the new owners Jackie and Brendan and hope they have a terrific future with this little country, Down Home Cafe.Parking: Small area to park in because it's a busy place because of the excellent food;however, there's lots of room to park on the side of the street.

Popular destination for travellers en route to Moab or Bryce Canyon depending on which way you're going. A lot of menu options for a local cafe in the rural area. Probably will be your best bet for food if you're on the long trek across Utah. Server was super nice and the food was decent for its price.

It just might be the only place in town, but the grub was tasty and the gal running things was a sweetheart. Thumbs up!

Stopped in on our way back from Bryce Canyon. It was the only cafe open in all the towns we stopped in, and I’m so glad it was! The food was amazing, you can tell the chef takes pride in his cooking and it absolutely shows. The waitress and owner were wonderful and fun to talk to. We had a rambunctious two year old with us who was tired of being cooped up in the car, and they enjoyed letting him run around to his hearts content and laughed at his antics. (thankfully no other guests were around!) All in all, so very glad we stopped here, and we want to make this a stop every year!

This cafe has a nice small menu. A lot of menu's are so big they take to long to decide what I want. Even though I couldn't eat the bun the burger was good and I loved the fries! the owners are very friendly! I will visit this cafe again next time we are in the area!!

Went here from Capitol Reef NP on our way home. Online they said they were open. When we arrived for breakfast there were no vehicles in sight, a closed sign in the window and the door was locked. Probably won't ever be in the area again but would be nice to know when they are actually open. We had to drive to Circleville before we found another Cafe to try. I guess if you're in this area you could stop by and see if they are open or not, don't rely on their website

Very busy during dinner, so be prepared to wait or call ahead. Family run and they are very friendly. Burgers were good, fries were solid, pie is always a hit (ice cream is soft serve). Would go again if I am in the area! P

Great place to stop in and get some good food. Whether you are passing through or in the mountains near by, it is a nice place to get some food if you are hungry. They have a good menu selection with shakes and malts also. They seem to keep pretty busy for a small town restaurant and with what they got it is no wonder.
