My stay at Best Friends Roadhouse was fantastic and I would definitely stay again. The hotel is set beautifully below the mountains providing amazing views. They have an incredible pet-friendly policy where your pet is the star guest. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The hotel's prime location near Zion, Bryce Canyon, and other stunning outdoor attractions provided endless adventure opportunities. I highly recommend Best Friends Roadhouse and Mercantile to anyone seeking an unforgettable stay amidst Utah's stunning landscapes.

This spot was everything I could have asked for and more! We felt more than welcome here, the staff was incredibly friendly and gave the dogs so much love. The rooms were very comfortable, clean and the pull-out dog bed was so sweet (and a hit)! We loved the hotels "dog park" where the pups were able to run around a bit after our long drive. The free breakfast was a plus and there in so much to explore in every direction from here! We will definitely be back!Rooms: Clean and cozy!Nearby activities: Adventure in every direction and the town is so cute with lots of great food!Walkability: You can walk to a ton of different food spots from the hotel

My friend and I saw a video of this hotel online and instantly booked a trip. It was the perfect weekend with our dogs! This hotel honestly felt too good to be true. It was clean, had beautiful rooms, was only a 30 minute drive from Zion National Park, had a ton of great amenities, and had the kindest staff. We had the BEST stay! Our dogs had such a great time. We took them to the complimentary dog spa and cleaned them, we did our own laundry (also complimentary) so that we could go home with clean clothes, we took them to the dog park, we enjoyed a free breakfast at the mercantile, and we slept so well in their amazingly comfortable beds. I cannot wait to visit again!! If you love your pet and want to travel with them, you must check out this hotel.

I love the layout and design choices at this hotel, from the entrance door to the Studio McGee vibe decor. Comfortable beds, dark at night, well-appointed. Highly recommend the audio tour of the Best Friends Sanctuary while you're nearby. Heads up that in keeping with their philosophy, the breakfast food is vegan, and if you have pet allergies, the room might make you sneeze from prior occupants ;-) Best enjoyed with animal lovers!

This place is absolutely amazing!!! Perfect for anyone traveling with pets, extremely pet friendly and accommodating (for example there are dog parks, food dishes ready to greet your pet, pet bed, and a pet shower area). Perfect for vegetarian/vegan lifestyle (for example the included breakfast is vegan, the room amenities are high end vegan, and the Mercantile is completely vegan). Perfect for just a nice, quiet stay (the room was extremely quiet, clean, very nice, and modern). Perfect price, for the room size we chose (the suite), the price was perfect (especially with all of the extra included amenities!). Perfect customer service, extremely friendly, welcoming, and informative. Perfect for location (so many options close by: Zion, Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, Grand Canyon, Lake Powell, Bryce Canyon, and several other local hikes and outdoor opportunities), perfect place to stay to see multiple other places (stay here and go a different direction each day for a different experience). We can't wait to return with more time!!!Rooms: Extremely clean, very modern and comfortable, very pet friendlyNearby activities: Soooo much! Zion, Bryce Canyon, Grand Canyon, Lake Powell, Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, and several other local activities. Hiking, ATV, horseback riding, animal sleepovers, whitewater rafting, rock climbing, sand sledding, volunteer opportunities, caves, mountain biking, etc.Walkability: Kanab isn't very big and this hotel is located at the end...so if you walk the main street of the town, it's very easy to do (without stopping, it would probably only take 30-40 minutes walking, round trip). On that walk you're going to come across restaurants, pharmacies, banks, shops, and gas stations (as well as places to rent equipment- such as bicycles and ATV's).Food & drinks: Best Friends clearly cares about their best friends...everything is vegan and they have breakfast included with several locally homemade options (delicious!). The room comes with coffee and they have coffee available throughout the day in the Mercantile.Noteworthy details: This place is positively amazing! Their profits go to helping the animals at the sanctuary, they welcome your animal best friends, they are incredibly friendly and helpful, and the entire experience is welcoming and relaxing. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

We loved our stay here. The room we had was incredible. It had everything we needed for ourselves and our sleepover dog from Best Friends. The staff was very helpful and friendly. They have a wonderful fenced in area for pets. The mercantile has a wide variety of Best Friends merchandise. It is located where you can access multiple national parks. If you are traveling with a pet (or not) this is definitely the place to stay.

The Roadhouse is so special.I was so happy staying here because my dog was happy staying here. The trundle pet beds are adorable. The dog parks (one for smaller dogs and another for large) are so nice for pets and people. Everyone dotes upon your pet and genuinely cares that your stay is a nice one.The mercantile is a great spot with good coffee, supplies and gifts for people and pets, board games you can borrow, and folks who are thrilled to tell you all about and what to do in Kanab. The hotel rooms are clean by any good hotel room standard but especially considering the number of pets that come through. The beds are comfy, nice showers, and nicely designed rooms. Plus a nice entry room so your pet doesn't risk darting out the door and so you have a place to kick all the wonderful Kanab red sand off your shoes. All of it makes for a really comfy stay.Best Friends Sanctuary is a wonderful place with Wonder people and that absolutely extends to the Roadhouse ♥️

I recently stayed at the Best Friends Roadhouse, and I must say it was one of the best hotel experiences I've had in a long time. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming, not just to me, but to my dog as well which I picked up from Best Friends Sanctuary for sleepover. The room was clean and comfortable, with plenty of space for both me and my pet. The decor was modern and stylish, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. I also appreciated the thoughtful touches, such as the dog bed and bowls provided in the room. The hotel's location is also great - it's just a short drive away from several national parks and hiking trails. The staff was happy to provide recommendations and directions for nearby attractions.Overall, I highly recommend the Best Friends Roadhouse to anyone traveling with pets. The staff goes above and beyond to make both you and your furry companion feel welcome, and the amenities are top-notch. We will definitely be back!

This is the best pet friendly hotel we have ever stayed! The room is super clean with fresh smell and well laid out with plenty of space. Joanne at the front desk was so helpful, and welcoming with a warm smile! Mike was delightful at the Mercantile serving us delicious breakfast! There is a very nice pet grooming room and a laundry room with plenty of supplies. The dog parks are large with plenty of space to play. The location is great, close to various parks and attractions! We highly recommend this hotel and we look forward to our next visit!

I would recommend this hotel to anyone! I have never done any reviews before, but decided this one was a must. This hotel was a quick stop during our road trip, and it was so pleasant we were going to extend our trip another day just to stay here an extra day (Unfortunately it was fully booked so we were unable to, but it kept us on schedule)! The staff was so friendly and made our stay so much better. There is a dog park and spa that is complementary with your stay. We specifically had driven 30 minutes out of our way on this trip, just so our sweet boy can have fun on this trip, too.Staff: The hospitality was amazing, and I have never encountered such nice staff in a hotel before. People who seemed so genuine and loved the work they participated in. When we checked in, we were greeted with treats for the pups and cookies for the humans. There was a welcome note for us in our room, as well as a welcome sign for our pup.Rooms: The rooms are very clean and have a simple modern look! The amenities were great, everything you could need, and more.If you are ever in Kanab, make sure to bring your fur babies and stay here!

Super pet friendly! The room is cozy, homey, and has many pet amenities. The guest laundry is free but only a washer and a dryer. The receptionist is VERY fast response. They have a dog park in the property! There is no daily room cleaning but for us it is completely fine. The egg bite for breakfast is so yummy too!Noteworthy details: Pet friendly! They have PET SPA!

We stayed here twice on a recent road trip with our pup and we loved it. The staff was amazing, the morning coffee was delicious, and my pup loved the huge dog park! The reason for the 3 stars (and not 5) is because our room’s very loud smoke alarm woke us up at 2 am because the battery was low. I called the front desk and the amazing gentleman working that night immediately came to our room to change the battery. However, we were awoken again at 7:30 am to the smoke alarm making a low battery beeping noise yet again. When I went to the front desk to let them know, they told me they “could try” to get someone to come and look at it. We didn’t make a huge deal about it since we understood there was only so much they could do about the situation. We were just disappointed that they didn’t really seem to care about our situation and didn’t even offer an apology. Luckily a nice gentleman came by our room a little bit later to try to fix the smoke alarm again. We didn’t get much sleep because of this, but the worst part was our dog was very freaked out by the constant loud beeping. That being said, we really love all the amenities this hotel has to offer and we’ll likely stay here again. We just had a really bad experience this last time.

I loved my stay here and will definitely be back. The property is beautiful and completely tailored to bringing your pups with you. Complimentary breakfast was great as well. The staff even graciously figured out my lodging after I had accidentally booked for the wrong day. I will definitely be back.Walkability: You can walk to tons of places.

Easily the best hotel in town, whether you have an animal companion or not!The property is very well maintained, and the rooms are beautiful. Plenty of pet amenities in the rooms and around the hotel. The Mercantile gift shop has cute souvenirs to take home, and the breakfast is scrumptious. There were some grab and go salads, cookies, wraps and other snacks available as well.I was lucky enough to be around on the weekend that a live music duo played on the stage, and it was a great time.An added bonus with the hotel room is a complimentary lunch ticket for the Angel Village Cafe at the sanctuary - best view in the county, and a great vegan buffet!

The most pet-friendly hotel I've ever stayed at! We hosted an overnight with a dog from the Best Friends Sanctuary and it was the highlight of our trip. There's a small dog park on the hotel property, walking distance to many pet-friendly restaurants (patio seating). I can't wait to stay there next time we drive through Kanab!Walkability: Right in town, walking distance to many restaurantsNoteworthy details: On-site dog park + water/food bowls in room for your pet + gated mudroom in hotel room entry for your pet

One of THE BEST pet-friendly places we’ve stayed at, hands-down. The staff was warm & welcoming, & you could tell they truly cared about supporting a great cause.Everything is pet-centric: from the treats upon arrival, to the pull-out dog beds, to the beautiful dog park with a splash pad for hot days, to the complimentary “pet-spa” on site. The hotel rooms & grounds are modern, beautifully updated, & absolutely stunning. We could hear footsteps of the guests staying in the room above us, so heads up the rooms aren’t totally soundproof if your fur-baby has anxiety.Highly recommend looking into their “sleepover” program where you can host an adoptable dog, cat, or bunny from the sanctuary.

I have stayed here a few times with my pup and we absolutely love it. It has always been very clean, service is phenomenal, and of course the dog friendly atmosphere makes this place our go to hotel when staying in the area. I can't give enough praise to this place. Also, we stayed here last weekend and they had live music playing Saturday Evening which was the perfect way to end our day. I hope that is a regular thing during the summer, because it is the best.

Omgosh. How can I even explain? I traveled with a big old rough collie. We were greeted with dog treats, human treats, and friendly staff. My room was incredible. Large dog bed with padding at the foot of the bed, also a great little alcove with a dog bed inside there, too. My dog tried them both, and seemed to love each! Dog dishes, and also dish soap and supplies to clean them. A little kitchenette was there, too. Outside there are two dog park areas, one is smaller, the other one large enough for proper running around, benches are there for the humans, too. Breakfast area is inside the mercantile, pretty much a continental breakfast, but was tasty. Dogs can eat with you, too. Definitely a great experience. For a female solo traveler, it felt so much safer than walking around the grounds of a hotel in the dark with my dog, which I do often, but don't feel exceptionally safe. Highly recommend.

Great place to stay for a night or longer. The rooms are so cozy and the whole place is super clean and extremely modern. They have electrical blinds!! Also they are super pet-friendly, any furry friends won't miss anything. The AC is super quiet, we had a great night's sleep. The people working there are very sweet, we enjoyed our stay and will come again! Thank you!

The best way to describe this place is pet friendly with modern rooms loved the inner door to keep your pets safe, the room is very clean and fresh, nice dog park with a splash zone and a fire pit where you can make S’mores. Love small town America. Help support their sanctuaryRooms: I always have complaints about hotel rooms as they usually have poor maintenance with low quality work but not this place the room had a new fresh smell. Loved the dog bedsNearby activities: Many things to do here like antiquing, arts, food and the animal sanctuary. I have yet to explore this townWalkability: The town seems very family friendly I noticed many people walking and riding bikes as it is a very walkable areaFood & drinks: Love this little town appears to have some great food very family and pet friendly. We ate at a French/ Italian restaurant excellent food although my meal was very overpriced for what it was I should have ordered the hamburger as my wife and daughter just raved about it . There are so many restaurants here it may take a week or so to try them all. We are here actually to tour the Animal sanctuary as we are here as their guests because my Daughter is an influencer (#chaosinthedesert)Noteworthy details: How would you describe the hotel?Pet friendly with a friendly staff

Such a great place to stay for both humans and dogs alike! Our room was comfortable and very clean. The property is well maintained. Everyone working there is incredibly friendly. We enjoyed using the dog runs and the breakfast options were delicious. On top of all that, it is located within walking distance of town so there is plenty of access to restaurants, grocery stores, etc.
