Hi-Mountain Burgers & Shakes is a cute little gem. Saturday afternoon around 1 o’clock was pretty busy. We waited about 10 minutes in line to order & about 30 mins for our food. It has limited seating so our group of 8 had to sit separately. We tried a cheeseburger, aussie burger, kids chicken fingers, homemade scone, fries & strawberry shake. Food was good. It was a fun adventure driving out to try it. If I was a local, I would eat probably eat here regularly. It was worth the trip.

11-18-23Took the whole family. Best onion rings in the state if you like them hot and crispy, not soggy. Family loves the fries. Philly burger was the favorite this trip. New favorite was the chicken and waffles milkshake! Must try.Great food and service! Nice old school mountain town environment. Love the "family-owned" atmosphere. We routinely come up from Salt Lake.Update 6/29/23. Grady remembered me from previous visits. Extremely personable. Food continues to be great. Will continue to frequent as often as i can get from Salt Lake to Kamas.Parking: Best parking is in the back

Been hearing about these burgers for years. Took a long lunch break and decided instead of take out, we would take it all in. The staff was so friendly and the Aussie burger, add bacon, onions rings and fries we had were delicious. I will be back. Almost forgot the amazing Red Velvet cookie I got for a snack later. Yum!

This place is fantastic! A short drive from Park City or the Salt Lake valley. It's worth the drive. The Gonburger is delicious, as is the Blue Burger. The fries are perfectly cooked. The onion rings are crispy on the outside and perfectly cooked in the inside. Try the sweet corn nuggets. They are creamed sweet corn that is battered and deep fried, and topped with a light dusting of powdered sugar. They are sweet and savory and crispy on the outside and soft in the middle. Oh, and don't miss the fresh lime. It's the real deal, served in a tall frosty mug with a sugared rim. For dessert their shakes are so tasty. They also have (two) penny candy, which the kids love. We're hooked on this place and will continue going back again and again!

We stop here every time we are in Kamas! They have the best burgers, fries, and shakes! I love the home feel this restaurant has. It’s like you’re eating at grandma’s house. There’s a bar you can eat at and two patio areas for seating. They also have convenience store items. But the food. Give everything a try. I don’t know what it is about the Root beer floats in a frosted mug, but it makes it so much better. You won’t be disappointed....with anything! The service is pretty awesome as well! Our waitress was attentive and friendly and the kitchen was spot on with timing! Thanks Hi Mountain for the wonderful hospitality. We’ll be back soon! 😊

This is an awesome place for being a grill inside of a drug store. I was up here for work and stopped by for some lunch. There is an awesome wood grain style bar you can go sit down at and order. Great Cheeseburger and the corn fritters were awesome. I topped it off with an Ironport milkshake.

Pretty great, actually. It looks tiny from the outside but has a good amount of seating inside. The place is old and dusty and a little bit grimy but that's the only downside. They have great selections on the menu; many burgers as well as chicken sandwiches, even navajo tacos. We both got burgers and the bacon cheese fries. They were top notch.Very satisfied and I will be back. Staff was helpful.

Every time we go to the Uintas we stop at Hi-Mountain drugstore. It has been a long time tradition to get a milkshake. It has been such a fun, memorable experience. Unfortunately over the last few years the quality and size have gone downhill. The last time we went the restaurant was filled with smoke from the grill which made the place very unpleasant.

The burgers here are pretty good! The food is a bit on the pricey side and the atmosphere is a great for catching up with friends, not super loud or busy.Wheelchair accessibility: If you park in the back of the restaurant you can enter back there where they have a ramp that will allow someone in a wheelchair easier access than the front.

My daughter had rode by motorcycle over Wolf Creek pass from Vernal. Well worth the drive for awesome food and shakes. The service is just as awesome too!Parking: Limited street parking, but great for motorcycles. Parking out back seemed plentiful.Kid-friendliness: Decent size tables for families.Wheelchair accessibility: Wheel chair accessible from the back.

The burgers, 1/3 lb, are very good. The fries are fantastic. This is an iconic place at the gateway to the Uintas. The restaurant itself badly needs an overhaul, and the prices are on the high side imo. It was $14.00 at the time of writing for a basic cheeseburger combo. They do have a kids menu (about $8). They also have really good shakes. I recommend it if you are in the area. They have abandoned the sit-down / server model for a counter order system since the last time I went. It was very busy when we went but that was expected on a Saturday in the Summer.Parking: Parking in the road is difficult, but they have a lot behind the store that is bigger. It isn't marked, though, very well. Enter through the back lot of the Chevron station next door. You can park directly behind the restaurant. There is a rear entrance to the restaurant.Kid-friendliness: They have a kids menu.

The building and furnishings were great, exactly what you'd expect in a small town eatery. That's about where the positives ended. My family ordered just two milkshakes and we waited 30 minutes before we finally got them. Another family in our group ordered some milk shakes and asked for caramel on the side and it came on top. The shakes tasted great, I just wish it didn't take half an hour to get them.

Absolutely perfect for what it is--a funky burger joint in a tiny town. It's also the best place to stop for lunch or dinner on the way home from backpacking the Uintas! Burgers were juicy and delicious, the fries were fresh and yummy, and the shakes were good (there are SO many flavors). Service was a little slow so not a good place to come if you're in a hurry, but still a great spot for a burger and shake!Kid-friendliness: Limited seating, but otherwise very kid friendly.

Food was amazing! Is this local beef?! It tastes fresh and incredibly delicious. The chocolate caramel malt was extremely good! The blonde haired woman at the register was also very cute and I wish I had had her number if she's single.

A bit pricey, so minus a star, but it never disappoints. While you're waiting for your table, peruse the knickknacks for sale in the drugstore part, where you can buy everything from sheet music to gummi worms. Try a shake, they are awesome. The fried corn nuggets are good as well. Best limeade I've found anywhere.

I love fresh cut fries, today they were a little lack luster….a whole basket of fries at least 1 inch long. The kind you usually throw away not serve. The sandwich was very good. Just hoping for wonderful fries to match the sandwich.

We stopped here on our way out of Kamas. We showed up about 15 min to 8. You could tell they were a little annoyed that we showed up then. When I said we might dine in it was almost a disgusted look. 😂 They we’re super nice though and I can totally understand. Luckily we weren’t dining in and just getting shakes to go. The shakes were good and big. Everyone in my family love the shakes they got. We got a strawberry, peanut butter, and 2 chocolate shakes. Then 2 one scoop ice creams which were rainbow sherbet and rocky road. We will def stop by again.

This is truly a throwback malt shop/drugstore from my childhood. It is the most unique experience in Kamas.Great burgers and hand cut fries. Also you can choose from about a hundred choices of flavors of malts or shakes. It has home decor for sale, craft supplies and vintage flavors in candy. There is also a pharmacy in the back. You just have to see this to believe it. The food is super tasty. The young girls that work here are really sweet. Beware; it's not a fast food restaurant. You do order and pay before you sit down. They are making your order to your specifications so it takes longer than if you're standing in line at a Wendy's. Closed on Sundays. Open at lunch and for dinner only until 7:00. I take my out-of-state guests here for a unique Utah experience.Kid-friendliness: Kids would love this place! If you want your child or grandchild to get the kind of candy that we used to be able to buy decades ago, bring them here. Also there are crafts that they would enjoy.

Hi-Mountain Drug is the best burger in all the Unitas! It gets a fantastic 4.8/5. The beef is always fresh, great flavor, seasoned, cook, thickness, and juicy, never dry. One of the best things to combo it with is the Iron Port Soda. This is why you go! Comes in a frosty glass and is a super great drink. I even like the Iron Port Shake better! Try it, you won't regret it. Fries are hand-cut and they have good fry sauce. Sometimes they can be soggy or underdone, that's the only once-in-awhile complaint, but when done right they are fantastic fries. We never miss this place on the way through Kamas. Worth the price for sure!

The place is very interesting, it's like stepping back in time many years into the past. Every single employee was friendly and provided great service. The burgers were very delicious, I got their bacon burger and thoroughly enjoyed it. The fries were a bit of a let down for me, but fries can be easy to mess up. My kids loved the fries though. The shakes were great! Although if I had to be picky I would say that the mint was too minty lol. Honestly I'd come back here, very yummy.

Sort of a quirky location. They have a drug store/diner vibe. Excellent food! Freshly made but not slow. The burger was delicious and the onion rings were great. Highly recommend! (PS try the Southern Bell)
