Towed my 16 yr old daughters car. Manager was extremely rude when I argued that the signs were not visible. See attached pics of their “visible” no parking signs. There is a single sign hidden behind all their equipment that is over 40 feet from where my daughter parked. I had to drive to Ogden and pay $200 to retrieve her car. When I picked up the car from the towing company, the gentleman admitted they provide a “kickback” to Southfork Hardware for every vehicle they tow for them. Dirty business!

I see way too many negative reviews for the workers at this store. The employees are just doing their best with the policies and rules they are given. They are always amazing to me when I come in.The reviews wouldn't let me comment on other reviews made. I personally see the "no parking" signs just fine. Even without those signs, anybody parking on public property, the owner has every right to tow your car.Everyone needs to stop harassing the employees that work there. If you are upset about the rules, you can take it up with the owner of the business. The employees are just middle men that HAVE to follow those rules because it is their job. If people would stop yelling and cussing them, maybe they would actually take the time to help you with what your issue is.

Horribly rude management. Towed our car when it was there for less than three hours and was extremely rude and confrontational when we asked about it… Not to mention that the ‘no parking signs’ are nearly invisible. There were two of them, one as you enter the parking lot (completely faded by the sun) and another that was completely covered by construction equipment. would give 0/10 if i could.

Here's the deal. I'm writing this post because this morning 28 jeeps and their passengers gathered in the parking lot as a meeting place. Most of us filled our tanks and purchased more items from the market than the sell the entire day. Now that I've set up our patronage the owner wanted us out and continued to harass everyone in in the parking lot. Saying we were blocking his store from other patrons (please note the picture, none of out 28 vehicles parked in front of his store leaving all of the front parking spots open for his absent customers).His constant harassment while we waited for all to show was unforgivable and this POS will not get a dime from our club and hope all 4x4 owners boycott this store.

I am the grandfather of the teen girl driver whose car was towed and feel responsible. Our family met at Causey and her Father wished her not drive on those roads. I searched IN VAIN for readable no park signs. My son was later treated rudely. I have encouraged them file with small claims crt.ourt

Very unfriendly owner. Seemed like he didn’t even want us in his store. Was extremely rude to all the other customers in the store as well. Seemed like he couldn’t get us and our cars out of his store and parking lot fast enough. We will steer clear of this place in the future.

I'm just trying to get somebody to help me. They broke my original key to my trailer. And they don't wanna have a locksmith. Come up and make me a new key. They said it's on my dime . No, that's not right, or she said. Go to a trailer place and have them fix it you broke the original.

Buyers beware: I bought 8 9V batteries from this store and it was a whooping $60 and some change...I was in total shock. The same batteries at Costco - $15. Amazon - $11. Math: 400%+ mark-up shoppers!!! That's a bit too much for convenience wouldn't you agree!!!!

Small-ish hardware store that is big at heart. I have found so many things here that have surprised me. It seems to always be well stocked and has quite an eclectic range of products from camping, to farm supplies, tools, oil and other automotive consumables, paint, craft supplies, propane exchange and filling, flashlights, electrical, plumbing, and an excellent selection of machine bolts, nuts springs, and other specialty/odd items that are rather hard to find sometimes.

These guys are crooks. They rented me a machine that was inoperable when I unloaded it. Then refused to make any good on the repairs I personally did to make the machine operable. The manager on-site was belligerent and completely rude to me and my family. Then threatened to withhold my deposit for no reason. This is the last time I will ever do business with this business. The manager on shift today should be fired. Thank you!Google wouldn't let me leave a zero star review.

Make sure you have a few hours to spend at the store, never enough help! Drove 30 minutes to get propane, get there and no one can fill my tanks that works there. A very common experience for me, you would think I would learn the first time. Overpriced by not just a little but a lot. I’ve shown up during open hours, and store is locked and can’t find anyone around, a couple hours later open again. So I guess this review should say dependability one star. I hope they can get some things ironed out and step up their game! Definitely call ahead before going!

Just moved into the area and when I first moved up the contractor informed me the closest hardware store was in Ogden and I hated making the drive. Well my first morning I needed fuel I look over and boom staring me in the face is this gem of a store! They have a little bit of everything, great customer service, and just all around nice folks! Yes it’s a bit more than say a big brand name but the service and location make it all worth while! Keep up the great work absolutely love this place!!!!

They've got everything! Including children's toys from real inexpensive tiny animal figurines, to really nice classic children's wheelbarrows and such. Huge garden section too. Great staff. The young guy who rung me up even helped me distract my 3yr old away from the dinosaurs when it was time to go. Much appreciated de-escalation!

Stay away. The owner / store manager is very rude. I politely inquired about my towed car, agreeing that in hindsight I shouldn’t have left it parked there during a morning bike ride. Lesson learned. I politely asked when it was towed, where it was towed so I could pick it up, and reapectfully addressed him as “sir”. He was extremely confrontational and rude. I get the sense that he really dislikes non-locals. If that’s the case it’s unfortunate that he clearly does not understand that money from people visiting Pineview funds the local economy, including his store. One other note. On the day my car was towed there were zero cars in the very large lot when it was parked (early morning, and 5 when I discovered it towed). To the owner I say this: your negarive approach to treating POTENTIAL repeat customers is unfortunate. In fact I kind of feel sorry for you...you do not come across as a very happy man and that’s just sad. No one is out to get you, relax man, and have more patience when others make mistakes. We aren’t bad people.

The boxelder bugs are crazy at my house right now. I really didn't want to drive all around UT looking for a solution. Southfork employees knew exactly what I needed. They even took me back to that section and had a few recommendations for me based on what I had available at home. The boxelder bugs are now dead!!

Bad American - met friends there, bought supplies per customer signage, left a few hours for picnic, returned to find they had my car towed away, had to pay$200, and get my car in West Haven. No note on the windshield, wasnt there for long, way on ther back row w tons of parking always avail. Clearly what's known as a *ick Move! Not your friendly neighbor community stop. 20 years of frequenting this establishment is over. They're too expensive on everything to boot.

Oh hell no! I understand towing noncustomers. I also understand having cars towed that have been sitting in the parking lot for the entire day. I understand the signs in the parking lot. But when I park at the Chevron, buy something at the Chevron, and go for a run, I should not come back to my car towed. I will never be a patron of Southfork hardware. I will tell everyone not to shop at Southfork hardware. This is not how to win over customers.

If you're up by pineview dam and you're in a bind this place is a really good place to pick up a gas can for your watercraft or any other tools if you're up camping in that area by causey dam. I've bought electrical cords gas cans and some tools. The convenience of being a gas station as well is also handy to get all the drinks that you need. They do have some life jackets and water toys for kids there but the selection is slim.

NOT GOOD AT ALL!!!! Rented there mini excavator, got charged for two days, when we only had it for one day. And when the manager was asked about the price, He said " I will refund your money and you can go back to Ogden and rent one". One of the tires blew out on the way up, (the other one way bad) no trailer brakes, no grease for the tracks, so the tracks came off, you could only run it for an hour at a time because it over heated. "AND ALL ON A MACHINE THAT WAS MAINTAINED THE WEEK BEFORE". Was not told sorry for the problems or no nothing. Need less to say me or my family will never go back!! The only reason it gets one star is because that is the lowest I can go.

Don't expect them to accomodate you just because you go there semi-regularly and spent 2X price of going into Ogden. LESS accomodating then HD or Lowe's. Can't find your receipt despite them remembering you bought it? Tough luck, no return. Need to rent something but left misplaced your ID - forget about it. Doesnt matter that you rented recently, they know your face, etc. Why support the local little guy? He is closer that is the only possible reason.

This place is the best place to go to if you need any tools. When you walk in things look cluttered. But I generally find everything I need pretty quick. Honestly faster than I would in a Home Depot. This shop is also close by and local. I love supporting local businesses.

Fairly good selection of products if you’re in a pinch and need to grab something locally, but the customer service has been consistently poor and the prices would justify a trip to Ogden if it’s more than a few bolts or screws you need.
