Purchased my first 2 nucleus bee colonies from Honeyville Honey in spring of 2022. Didn't know any better at the time but buyer beware! The condition of the cardboard nucs should have been my first clue. Boxes were old, glued and taped. Frames in each nuc were old, several frames (wax and wood) were black with age. At least 2 frams per nuc were broken and renailed or braced. I discarded several of the frames the first year, more the second year and I will be culling out more of those original frames comes this spring. Who knows about the queen. She was not marked so I don't know if she was a new queen from that spring or the old queen from the parent colony. It was obvious that Honeyville Honey configured the nucs using their old supplies rather than discarding them. I learned my lesson and will not be buying additional bees from Huntsville Honey ever again. I'm sure their honey is delicious
