We stayed at one of the 20 small cabins that they offer on 3 separate occasions during our adventures. Each time, the process was fast and easy. The cabins are neat and clean and offer a comfortable environment to shower and rest up before we head back out on another adventure. Their location is ideal- with a grocery store and a gas station very close by and a good restaurant right across the street! Although we did not use it, they also have a laundry room and ice available! So delighted to have had this little home away from home to enjoy! The owners are extremely nice and quick to answer any questions! Definitely going back next year- if we are vacationing in that area again!Rooms: Our room was spacious, quiet, and clean. We chose a cabin with a single King Size bed- great to stretch out in after camping for 5 days at a time! Loved the hot shower, the fast Internet connection, and the big screen tv to relax with! Also, it comes with a nightlight that you can move into the bathroom so you can sleep in the dark and not get blinded by turning on a light if you have to get up!Nearby activities: Hiking nearby at Goblin Valley State Park, Carl’s Critter Garden is just across the street diagonally- and it is full of art from repurposed metals and materials! Lots of Canyons to explore. Also close is the Burpee Dinosaur Quarry…and along the way we stopped to take photos at the Mars Research Center (really cool to share with everyone)!

The BEST place to stay if you’re visiting Hanksville/all the incredible sites around it! The room was clean, very spacious, amenities were top notch (all utensils and dishes, big mini-fridge, hot water, coffee, smart TV)- and it’s dog-friendly!!! The location is unbeatable: within 1 hour from so many hikes and cool spots, across from a restaurant, next door to a very nice coffee shop. If y’all put in a self-serve dog wash I think I would want to move in permanently! 😁Loved our stay and can’t wait to come back!Rooms: Spacious, comfy King bed, modern and beautiful kitchenette, small but nice bathroom, hot water, shampoo&conditioner&body wash included, plenty of hanging hooks for packs, boot mat for shoes, Plenty of outlets for power. Western, rustic aesthetic was pleasing, and the smell of the wood was so nice for the outdoorsy feel!Nearby activities: So close to Goblin Valley, Long Dong Spire, Capitol Reef, Bentonite Hills, Henry Mtns, Little Egypt, and so many more!! They have guided canyo needing options, tooSafety: Self-serve keypad entry was so convenient! Door handle itself was strong and closed easily without having to push, which was a small but really nice detail.Food & drinks: Literally seconds away from coffee (Mowgli’s Cafe) or restaurant (Duke’s Slickrock Grill)

Newly built and well maintained cabins in Hanksville. Cabins are roomy, clean, quiet and super sturdy even with a strong wind outside. Beds were comfortable and all appliances and fixtures worked perfectly. Our pup enjoyed cooling off in the ditch running along the property line. Automated check-in and check-out. Would stay here again if in the area.

These great cabins in Hanksville were a joy to stay at!! Very nicely appointed and comfortable. The free guest laundry an added bonus. There is a lot to see in the area and we could have used more than 2 nights. Will return for sure. They are very responsive via text and provided great customer service. While I had booked ahead, they have a cool on-site self registration system that seems very slick. I highly recommend a stay here!

This area of Utah is so beautiful, but it’s hard to explore when there aren’t great spots for non-campers. This little cabin gave us the feeling of staying at a friends cabin while we played. The place was very clean, not dusty! The kitchen came with some essentials to prepare meals, which is a must for us with food allergies. The beds were small but comfortable. I loved that right outside the door we got a taste of the dark skies. The property is quiet and centrally located. We spent much of our stay at nearby goblin valley, and would love to come back to explore wild horse canyon and capital reef more.

These cabins are in an awesome location for a trip to Capitol Reef National Park and/or Goblin Valley State Park. They were so thought out, beautifully decorated, and stocked with anything we could need! Complimentary washer and dryer use was a big plus. There are several attractions not far and the owners are super knowledgeable about the area. There is a restaurant and a coffee shop within walking distance, and more restaurants no more than a few minutes away by car. They also welcome pets, which is a huge bonus. We had a fantastic vacation!Rooms: Room was clean and beautiful. Kitchen was fully stocked with anything we could possibly need.

These cabins look plain on the outside but inside they were beautifully decorated. Very clean. We stayed in one w/ a kitchenette that was perfect. They have everything you need and are perfectly located for adventures in Goblin Valley and other surrounding areas around Hanksville. We also loved and appreciated that they were doggie friendly.

Stopped by Hanksville while on the Hayduke Trail. Unfortunately everything in town was booked (it was Friday) but the owners of these cabins really helped me out. Very friendly people. They gave me their phone number and let me do laundry for free and use their WiFi. They even offered to let me camp on their propertyIf I ever come back I will be staying here. They have only been open for a year at the time of this writing (May 2024) and everything is brand spanking new. Custom built cabins with all the amenities you want. Laundry machines are also the nice Samsung ones, not the cheap ones you usually see at hotels.

Fantastic location near Capitol Reef, Goblin Valley, and great midpoint between other UT National Parks. These cabins were new, beautiful, comfortable, and had all the amenities needed for our stay. Fully stocked kitchenette and near the cutest coffee shop with the best chai. The place was so clean and had excellent service. Can’t recommend enough!

Separate cabins…brilliant! We loved how quiet it was to be completely separated from the other guests and in our own cabin. So new and fresh and clean. Nicely decorated. WiFi is good (password is in the room booklet). Nice to be able to park right next to our room. We usually camp but were in town meeting up with a cousin so this was a great last minute accommodation. Nice to have a little kitchenette and a king size bed. Only drawback was the bed was quite hard.

Excellent base location for exploring the Utah canyons. The service over the phone for the reservations was exceptional. The two bed cabin was spacious and the kitchen had all the things we needed for making breakfast and sandwiches for our lunches. The restaurant across the street is very good (I had the fish dish). We plan to return to this place on our next year rappelling trip. The only thing that the place can improve is to acquire a bit less soft mattresses next time.

So excited about the new cabins at Muddy Creek Mining Co! And they’re Dog friendly :) The cabins were extremely comfortable and met our needs and beyond. They include a kitchenette and grill which was nice, so that we could prepare meals when we didn’t eat out. There’s an awesome coffee shop nextdoor too! We drove our Tesla Model Y and had no problems with charging and getting to all the great spots in the Hanksville area. The staff is awesome and the rooms are very clean with plenty of room to relax or work once you get back from your adventures. I’d definitely recommend and I can’t wait to go back. Thank you Muddy Creek!Rooms: Very nice cabin style rooms, with comfortable bed, big bathroom, several tables to eat/work, and room for you and your pets.Nearby activities: So many places to get outdoors and adventure! It’s the perfect spot to stay if you like to get into the great wide open with less people. It’s also on the way to Capital Reef National Park.Safety: Extremely safe town with great peopleWalkability: Walking distance to food optionsFood & drinks: Close to several eating spots and there’s a great coffee shop right next door.

The facilities were fantastic. We stayed during a particularly cold and muddy period just after Thanksgiving. Everything looked like it was newly constructed. Text message contact with door codes and check out times were convenient. The only complaint I have is about the water. It smelled extremely strong of sulfur. They had signs up that it was potable, but our dog wouldn't drink it and we were cautious about drinking/bathing in it. It was probably fine, but the smell was unavoidable. That's my only complaint. Otherwise it's definitely a 5* accommodation.

Beautiful, newly built rooms. We loved independent check-in and the fact that it was individual cabins, so you don't share walls with others and can park your car directly out front of your unit. Super dog friendly and great kitchen and bathroom amenities. It felt pricey, but we found it totally worth it after a very relaxing and comfortable stay. Great mattresses and pillows!

Absolutely loved the stay. We were on a camping trip and the weather turned for the worst. We headed to Hanksville for some comfort and we found the Muddy Creek Mining Company. The rooms were incredibly new, clean, and modern. The cabin was fully stocked with all of the cook wear and utensils we needed. And each unit had a bbq. Wi-fi was excellent. Lots of options on the TV. And location, location, location. We hit up Goblin Valley, the San Rafael Swell, and Capital Reef. We missed the Mars Training Area and Factory Butte. Maybe next time. So many incredible outdoor options right out the cabin's front door. Plus the Henry Mountains sit nearby and are always a comforting landmark. Hanksville is a small town without a lot of amenities but if you want outrageous and beautiful outdoor activities without the crowds of Moab, Springdale, or Bryce I would go here.Nearby activities: This place is in the center of so many incredible outdoor activities. Their website lists quite a few but it only scratches the surface. Check it out before it becomes extremely crowded like Moab or Springdale

You’ll want to stay here.Nearby activities: Loved seeing some places that had been on my list for awhile! Little Egypt, Moonscape overlook, Long Dong Silver and more.Food & drinks: Stan’s Burger Shak — highly recommend the bacon turkey wrap!

A truly perfect stay. Our cabin was very fresh and clean, comfortable and had all the amenities we needed. On top of that they were truly dog friendly and had convenient parking that accommodated our truck and trailer. With our travel schedule we were only here for one night, and after the one night I was wishing we would have planned more time in the area so we could have enjoyed the cabin longer.

What a GREAT place to stay! The owners, Dan and Nicole, are absolutely wonderful. Each cabin is decorated beautifully, and they have everything you need to cook. BBQ outside has a burner to cook your side dish.Nice sized refrigerator, too. Loved the 🍷 glasses. The only place you should stay when in Hanksville Utah.Nearby activities: We are jeepers, and there are some great trails we took just a few miles out of town.Walkability: Market, restaurants, burgers just a short walk from your cabin.

All I can say is wow!! Late at night I pulled in not knowing where to stay and I saw the billboard in front of site. Called the number and within 5 minutes I was laying in cozy new cabin with tub and shower and brand new kitchen. Quite charming and relaxing. Mr. Dan was so pleasant to work with and was able to get me in my price range. One of the best nights I had within my 2 week road trip. Thank you 🙏 so very much for the amazing accommodation.
