This is the second time we have taken our Golden retriever here. It is a very nice and professional clinic. In both cases we were able to get him in the same day. Most other clinics were a week out. Very nice staff. They are 50 miles from my home and and worth the drive. Keep up the great service!

I really appreciate the Dr. here in Gunnison. He seems like a genuine person who cares for animals and people. I always make the 2 hr round trip just for the service because it's worth it to me. They always get us in right away. I leave with confidence that my pets were thoroughly examined and taken good care of and my questions considered and answered. Their prices are also much more reasonable than other places I've called closer to home. One thing I also wanted to express appreciation for is that there's never the requirement for you to vaccinate or do other services for your pets beforehand in order for them to also be examined and treated. I have never had the impression that they're out for your money. Thank you!

They took such great care of our pups! We took them in for dental cleanings and 1 of them needed several extractions. They got them in and out fairly quickly, gave thorough instructions on after-care and medications, and were super friendly and attentive.

Worth every minute of the 10 hour drive (each way) to come up to have Dr. Sorrenson and staff provide care for my little girl Gina. The staff are equally impressive as is the facility, communication, and understanding of what I thought I wanted accomplished. Everyone who works here is amazing!! I live in Salt Lake County and have an sweet old pug who had a mast cell tumor. I was quoted a lot more than I could afford to get it removed. We were trying to figure out how we could get the money and the tumor just kept growing. We were told by a friend to check out the vet in gunnison so I made an appointment to see what it would cost for the removal. When I got there they gave me the price and it was so much more affordable! I agreed to come back in a couple days and the vet came in and said they had another vet who could do it right then! I also had them clean her teeth and in the end ended up paying 1/4 of what I would have paid in Salt Lake. My sweet little pug is much happier and I've never been so grateful for vets who really wants what is best for the animal! In my eyes they saved my dogs life!

I took my little chihuahua/ yourkie, mix to get spayed the other day and they clipped her nails for me at no additional charge. Let me tell you that was so helpful cause she bits the clippers when I do it. We drove a hour and half to take her there and it was well worth the drive. All around great experience.

Great service at the right priceI used to bring my little dog here when I lived in this area. I knew everyone said they had great prices but I really didn't realize the difference until today. I've used 2 different vets for my dogs since I moved and thought they were good, but they recently charged outrageous amount just to look at my dogs teeth for 2 minutes and quote a high price. I called another local vet to get another opinion on pricing and it was also absolutely ridiculous, I was astounded at the difference when I then called Gunnison. I hate when people say that if you can't afford care you shouldn't have a pet, like those animals are better off without a loving family that does their best. Taking care of your furry family member should not cost a fortune, and GVAC makes that possible. They answered all my questions, took great care of her for her checkup and teeth surgery, and even had her done by 1pm. She was walking around excited between naps and even ate the same night

Had an emergency c-section with them. They came highly recommended, not only for reasonable priced treatment, but also for their great service. The staff were all very knowledgeable and very kind. They all care about the animals that walk in the door. It was an, overall, positive experience.

My son was killed. I had his cat Maybe. She got cancer. The people at the clinic were kindness. When she was put to sleep and my heart was broken they were kindness. I had her cremated and they were so wonderful helping me get her cremated and her wooden box said Saxen's Maybe perfectly. Thank you for getting me through more heartache.

I've been taking my pet to GVAC for several years, and the vets are great. They are very knowledgeable and care for all their patients as if it were their own. I've moved 40 miles away, but I will still take my pets to them, even though there are several much closer.

All around good experience. For all your animal needs this is the place to go. Update , I ran out of prescription food for my dog. I went to pet smart and was told I'd need a prescription from my vet to purchase the dog food. Having almost lost the dog I wanted to keep him on the food he is doing well on. I called the animal clinic and was told I would need to drive to their office to purchase the food. They would not give me a prescription over the phone. The prescription would also cost me 25.00. I suggest I was 3 hours away from their office. Didn't make since to have me drive that far just to get dog food. I was told that's policy. So I thanked them and went to plan b. Dropping my 5 star review. I did ask to speak to the doctor. I was told I couldn't.

Traveled 85 miles to have our pet chicken Vi looked at. We were not disappointed. The facility was spotless, everyone was great. Our vet spent 45 minutes looking at Vi. Dr Fisher was great and caring.The trip for Vi was well worth the time!Hopefully Vi will make a complete recovery.We would highly recommend them.They even know where to get a great hamburger!

The staff is absolutely AMAZING!!!!My big malamute, who is a big sissy, was well taken care of and since the price was soooo reasonable, I had a few other procedures done. I will make the 1.5 hour drive to take all my dogs (4) to this clinic!!!

I was really impressed by their service.. they got me in the same day I called. My pregnant yorkie was sick and throwing up (unusual for her) and I was very worried.. they helped her out and I got to find out that we have four or more puppins on the way, and that everything seemed to be ok. He gave me meds for her nausea which helped her immensely and I left feeling much better about the situation.. I was very happy with the clinic and will be back in the future..

Scheduled to have our dog seen very quickly. No waiting after arriving for the appointment. Variety of products available for purchase. We did see a different vet than we normally see and felt like we didn't receive answers that were as informative. It also seems like the prices are higher since the clinic moved into the new building but still better than most of the other vet clinics in the area.

Edited: I talked to the vet, Dr. Beckstead about my issue and she texted me and said they will do a free X-ray. I went there, Dr. Tyler was great. Showed me the X-ray. It was So Worth the money. I felt before it wasn’t worth it at all and now that I went back and actually got what I payed for, it made up for the disappointment with that visit.Not my favorite place for a vet. Have had a few issues here and there. One time was a dog getting a vaccine and the needle went straight through to the other side of the fur and the tech got the medicine all over the fur and not even inside.Now today, I was told TWICE that my dog could get an X-ray to count the numbers of puppies in her belly at 43 days. Once I got there the vet told me it’s at 45 days but we can try. She did the X-ray and couldn’t see any bones. She said my dog is 35 days pregnant (beats me why I got my dog breed 43 days ago but told she is 35 days). The biggest waste of $105.Not to mention 4 girls are at the reception desk and just stood there looking at me. I had to say hi to them. No greeting from them.

Gunnison Valley Animal Clinic treated us so well! They got my dog in for surgery faster than anyone else, were thorough and gentle in how they treated and took care of her, and their costs were incredibly reasonable. I'm incredibly grateful to the entire staff. Such a great place!

They are so kind and compassionate. We had to put my mom's dog to sleep, and they offer a beautiful paw print with the dogs name. They explained everything that would happen, and allowed my mom to hold her dog during the process. It's so good to have such kind souls to help during difficult moments like that.
