The sites for RVs for this time of year are in the dirt/sand. The sites aren’t well distinguished and some sites are really tight for bigger rigs. Note the office is closed this time of year and a number has to be called. The laundry mat is something left to be desired. It’s a community laundry mat that is very dirty. Of the abundance of washers, 4 were operational and one of those smelled like heavy chemical.Location, the whole town is rundown but the RV camp is right off the road.On a good note, they have a dog park that has gravel. They do have obstacles for the dogs but they do need maintenance.

Great service upon arrival. Great site. Smaller gravel but adequate. Site level. Restroom clean and polished. As for this worries about sites I just hit my auto level and it’s perfect. Appreciated the dog run and massive laundry.Pro tip- Taco trailer just across the river. Plenty of parking around city park. Thanks Shady Acres. Please keep your prices low so I don’t have to camp in Moab. Lol

I stayed a couple nights in full hook-up back-in spot # 70. It's in the back across from the golf course. Small spot just for vans. There is a bench and grill at the site. Wi-fi worked great. They have a playground, a fenced doggie area, a covered area to gather. There's also a laundry mat in front, as well as an RV wash, and a gas station/convenience store which if you let them know you're staying in the park you get a discount on gas. Bathrooms and Showers were clean and had hot water. And great sunsets. I would definitely stay here again.

We traveled through and stayed one night. It was a good location and I found it on Good Sam. I was not that impressed for a Good Sam site, I expected better. The park looked more like a long-term place than a campground. The bathrooms were clean and the utilities worked, so no real complaints…

We booked a week but only stayed one night before we moved to the state park around the corner. Being an RV park owner myself, I am trying to make this as honest and fair a review as I can because I understand how reviews effect a business. We felt the park was not well represented when we pulled up. There were toys all over the parking area and in the office lobby, along with dirty kids running in and out as we tried to enter. It felt like we pulled up to "the projects." None of the guests in our party felt it was a safe park to stay at. We were pleasantly treated by the staff but better training is a must. Our credit card was charged for our friends stay. Luckily, our friends noticed it a few days later so we were able to sort out the $. The park itself wasn't horrible. Just a lot of dirt and no grass anywhere. Be sure to read everything on the reservation page because we accidentally booked our spaces without sewer hookups. The showers were clean and the dog area was nicely set up with a large area for the dogs to run around off leash. Check the pricing as well. The state park has lots of grass and their nightly rate was less than shady acres weekly discounted rate.

Don't stay here. Expensive for what you get. Especially since there is a State Park next door for half the price that we didn't know about.

Definitely going to file an ADA complaint against this place, the office is closed with a sign to go to the gas station next door to register. Immediately on entering the gas station I was told to take my dog out of the store by the clerk, I pointed out his service dog vest and told her he is a service dog and she said literally " I don't care get out", the sign on the door had an ADA regulation service dog awareness sticker, so I thought it was safe to enter, this incident caused me extreme stress and anger. The woman was rude and extremely aggressive. Other than that it a nice park, clean bathrooms, nice dog park, and a playground for kids.

Unfortunately this place is really run down! The office had a sign “Closed” and register at the 76 Gas Station next door….not really a big deal…..the girl was nice. The sites are kind of gravel and dirt…. dead trees… junk everywhere! Such a bummer because it could really be a nice place! Good for us there was a 9 hole golf course right next door! We didn’t realize there was a very nice State Camping Park so close you could see it! We will definitely stay there next time, if in the area! Such a bummer ….I dislike making negative reviews! ( I appreciate reviews)✌️

The first spot we were assigned the electric hook up didn't work. The second, the water didn't work. It was finally turned on, but with the office closed this time of year (off season) it wasn't a good start.

We stayed a week. First impressions were not very favorable, but we changed our minds. Park is in need of some watering to green it up and combat the incredibly fine dusty soil. The park is bordered by farm land and a golf course. It is very quiet and the bathrooms are very clean. We would return.

We arrived at 7:30p, just as they were wrapping up for the day. The staff member we saw was very nice and was knowledgeable when we had questions. We were given a map and a site number and sent on our way. The site was a nice big pull through site. We got settled and then took a walk down one side of the campground. It is located next to a public golf course with green grass and rolling hills. The bath house was clean and had two shower stalls with privacy. There was a nice area for off-leash dogs. The gas station being right out front was handy in case you forgot something and we got gas there on our way out the next morning. Overall it was a nice spot and we would stay there again.

This park was one of the cleanest as far as facilities go. The folks running it we're incredibly friendly and it's quiet. We were here during Jeep week in Moab and then a dirt bike rally at the end of the week and everyone was respectful of others. The park itself was level and clean. I would definitely return here.

What a nice, full service park. We washed our RV at the car/RV wash while the laundry was in the laundromat. After all that work, we went to our pull through spot. Very nice and true to its name, shady. The new owners are super nice and helpful. Discounts on fuel and sandwiches at Blimpy. Right off the main drag so easy access but close to the river. Looking forward to a riverside bike ride.

We stayed in a cabin. The cabin was clean and nice enough. It had one platform double bed and 2 quite narrow bunks. The campground is dry dry dry. The biggest problem is that there are 2 restrooms with 2 stalls each for 105 sites and 6 cabins. The cabins are a LONG walk from the restrooms. If you have any bladder issues bring a chamber pot.The only interaction I had with the hosts was when I walked into the restroom where one of the owners was reprimanding a some for using the shower. It was a very unpleasant interaction to hear.

Needed a place to park overnight. This worked but $56 seems expensive for a simple dirt spot in a row with little space between sites. No sewer in my site but I didn't need it. And I did get 50 amp service and water which is what I needed. About 8 miles further east on I-70 I saw another park and their rates are much better (although the details escape me at the moment - seems like it was about $20). Next time I'm in the area, I will try that park instead.Reply to Park's response:Thank you for your reply. I do not begrudge you charging whatever the market will bear. After all, this is how capitalism works. Your park was adequate and met my needs for the night. If I wasn't willing to pay your rate, I had the option to seek services elsewhere. It's a pretty good system! 😉

New ownership in June. We had stayed for a month under mostly the old ownership. Had bumpy start. They told us to goto a spot. It was full. Came back and they sent us to another spot. It was basically an overflow area in the sand with no shade. Not at alllevel. Explained to the old owner that given the heat (100 degree weather) shade would be helpful for all three of our AC to not run all the time and run up their electric bill (which they do not charge separately for when you stay a month). Trying to help her out also. We had already scoped out that there were numerous spots in the back of the park with shade and that actually fit our large rig much better than where we were crammed. And they were never full. But the prior owner said she saves all of those better spots for the daily people. Nice customer service. So we stayed put and probably used every bit of the $600 we paid for the month towards what our electric usage was. Their loss I guess. The sand was also not great for our camper - never seen it such a mess! Make sense it was selling because the prior owner seemed to not care much: the grounds needed weeding, the laundry facility was nice to have but a mess. Also a car/RV wash on site which is handy. Hopefully the new owner will take it and run with it. Has a lot of potential. New owner seems to want to try to make improvements.

The best place about this rv park is its proximity to Moab, about 50 minutes. If Moab is all full, this is at least an option. The sites are long, but not very wide. Electricity, water, and sewer all work as expected. It’s mostly empty so it’s pretty quiet. However, there is a train nearby that can be heard blowing its whistle at various times during the day and night. As other reviews have mentioned, the park is in need of repairs and clean up. Mostly it needs signage to direct traffic. Hard to blame them for not putting money into the park though because the town of Green River is run down and falling apart as well.

Stayed in one of the cabins. Beds were comfortable and cabin was clean. Bathrooms and showers were very nice. Half the price of KOA down the road.

We only stayed 2 of the 4 nights we planned on staying. There is no rhyme nor reason on how this park is set up. They sent us in the wrong way because the electric hookups 30 and 50 are on opposite ends. Sites are all dirt. No pool. No shade. Bath house is fairly new and clean. Ok if you just want to stop and sleep after you finally get set in your site.

Awesome rv park and campground! Clean bathrooms and showers, laundry facility, dog park, small playground. Sites are level and tents are welcome. Water, electric, picnic table, fire pit, and grill fire box at each site. They also have decent WiFi so we could work remotely. We were caught in a bad dust storm with our tents (30mph winds broke our tents) and we were allowed to move to the cabins for the remainder of our stay (3 nights). There are 5 very cute little cabins! Cabins are a bit drafty so dust blew in with the storm but there are brooms in each cabin to sweep out if you need. Not much shade and most sites are full sun. Beautiful mesa views and very quiet (you can hear goats sometimes and it's really adorable). 45 minutes to Moab but there's gas, food (we really loved Blimpies for sandwiches/wraps), post office, a small grocery store, and a few motels near by (basically anything you need). We'd definitely return here! Really great campground and we're really happy with our stay!

Dog park was health issue with 100s of dog poop on back end. And out of dog bags. Lady had aggressive dog in park. And a different aggressive dog next morning. Not worth $60 night.

My camping experience has been ruined by how we were treated here. The supposedly new AC was blowing nothing but a hot mess. The owner was not very accommodating and her customer service was not up to par. She was hardly in her office. She was mostly in the comfort of her own home while we were sweating in the cabin that she offered us. She wouldn't offer us another cabin or did anything to help us out. We slept in that cabin the whole night which was painful for us and our children. I wouldn't recommend this place or cabin to any traveller. Your money is worth spent elsewhere. It would be in your best interest to drive to the next town. You're better off getting super great service there than with the owner of Shady Acres Campground. It's name fits the profile...Shady.

We reserved a spot same day, for July 4th. The office was closed, so we checked in at the gas station/store. The night guy there, I think his name was Gus, was the nicest guy, and so helpful!! Got me checked in quickly, and told me which direction to look to view the fireworks, and said he would be there until 11pm if we needed anything. The park is clean, with great bathrooms/showers. All sites are full hook ups and have a picnic table and bbq. The tent sites come with hook ups as well. There are a lot of trees for shade, and it was so quiet and peaceful. I didn't use them, but there is also a full laundry mat onsite as well as a car/RV wash. And, if you need to fill up the gas tank, do it after checking in - guests get .3cents off per gallon. I definitely recommend staying here!!!

Shady Acres is great! We had a perfect site with plenty of parking for rig and truck.Nancy at the office was very nice and helpful. Laundry room is nice and big. Plenty of washers and dryers. Site was level also.I would definitely recommend and will be back if ever in the area.

This is a nice quiet park. We were in the back section with our 44ft toyhauler. Reception is nice and they give you coupons for the gas station. They have a tourist section in the lobby with tons of things to do. They range from Free activities to whatever you are willing to pay. I would have given 5 stars but the grounds are a little unkempt. The grass needs mowed and weed control implemented. Some of the long term residents and have untidy sights but everyone was very nice and there were no issues. Lots of space, mature trees, dog run and dog walk area (grass was too high though, my dog could not walk through it).

Good showers, bathrooms, laundry, and wifiThe whole park, however, looks really rundown with lots of obvious deferred maintenance issues. When we went to our assigned spot the electricity did not work. We tried 3 different places. This was very frustrating since we had already unhooked our trailer in the 104 degree heat! We were told the new owners just took possession June 1The park has potential but needs a LOT of work.
