Most unsatisfying meal we have had in a very long time. I had the Philly Steak that honestly looked and tasted like it came frozen from a card board box and then microwaved. Save yourself $12.29! My wife had the BLT that she quit eating after one bite. I didn’t know that bacon came that thin. It was quite literally almost see through. The only thing satisfying was our raspberry shake.

We have been coming here for quite a few years now. It is one of two places that we go to when we go to Bear Lake.I am a huge fan of their raspberry shake. Hometown makes some of the best shakes in the area which says a lot considering the competition.I also love their onion rings and fries. It would be nice to get some more fries, but oh well. You should definitely give this place a shot.

We normally are next for and they recently closed so we are here and we're happily surprised! The onion rings at made with amazing bater, light, and crispy. The service was quick and friendly. There are lots of tables outside to eat, and the restroom is a nice separate room attached to the building. The raspberry shakes are delicious. You really can't go wrong with anything here.

A group of 10 of us came in to get shakes (mainly because it was early May at Bear Lake, and this was our ONLY option), and we all decided that we wouldn't come back. The shakes ranged from flavorless, to downright disgusting (a mint shake that tasted more like toothpaste), and the flavor selection was very limited. The serving sizes were small compared to the other shake places in the area, but the prices were the same or higher. Hometown also had a vibe that was just weird, so in the future, we'll just go to La Beau's (or one of the many other nearby options).By the way, the lack of written responses to Google reviews, shows me that the owner just doesn't care.

Saw a long line on a Sunday, which lasted several hours, so I thought it must be amazing. The next day is hardly a line, so we go to the world famous raspberry shake. I'm not sure why world famous. It was ok, nothing extraordinary, and we got 2, and they had different mixtures. Mine was a little tart while my wife's a better balance of sweetness. They were friendly and the location is great with views of the lake. Fries were ok, and onion rings cooked well.Value was decent, not expensive, and for what I received, it was priced right. I will say that shakes are something you can use a straw to drink. These were thick and served with a spoon. Much closer to soft serve ice cream. It was smooth and blended well.

A definite go to this local ice cream hotspot. The shakes and malts are amazing with large serving over flowing the cup. Not made with local fresh raspberries anymore after they had a year of severe crop failures, so I understand.Bacon cheeseburgers were very good.My son says that McDonald’s makes a better hamburger and just did not compare to the other burgers. Hence the 4 stars. The fries were delicious but a small serving for what was advertised as a jumbo. They were not expensive though. Probably best for 2 people.

There are only two burger places open on Sunday and so we came to Hometown Drive In on our way out of town. There was quite a long line without any markers for distancing. In addition, not a single employee was wearing a mask at any time. Not the cashier, not the cooks, not the lady at the pick up window, no one. I knocked off a star because of that.On to the food, the fries were super crispy, the raspberry shake was creamy and fresh and tasted delicious. The hamburger was juicy and cooked very well. There was an entire open air seating area with benches to eat your food at.Overall the food was on point but the covid precautions are non existent.

Skimpy sandwich for a bigger price. Sad we didn’t stick to the classic spots. This sandwich was $11.50 and way smaller than the sandwiches our friends got at zips, which was $3 cheaper… also half the onion rings were overcooked…

Bit of sass given from the cashier but it was a cold busy day. Closed the window to chat to other workers while we waited to make our order.Tasty food, great portion sizes and flavors. Speedy service. Wish the rest of the service matched the food!

Way overpriced shakes for the quantity coupled with a long wait line. I think it was a six ounce cup for a small at $4.79. By the time I got my shakes they were melted and running down the cup and into my hands before I got them to my kids. Not impressed!

Stopped by on a Sunday, and it was the only shake place open. The shakes were VERY tasty, their service was very quick also. Curly fries were also quite good. Glad we made the stop!!!

Stopped in early morning as we drove through town to try one of the area's famous raspberry shakes! Was surprised to see the "shake" was THICK - essentially really thick soft-serve ice cream. Definitely not drinkable! The shake was quite tasty, and had noticeable raspberry pieces in it. The color is also stunning! It was also huge, so take a close look at the sizes before you order.

One of the only places open on Sunday here. Not my usual stop. Definitely glad we tried it. Their raspberry shakes are great. The line on a Sunday took about 20 minutes but was well worth it. After the order it took 5 minutes and we were living our shakes. I will definitely be back on my next trip to Bear Lake.

Asked for a double cheeseburger l. Was charged for a 1/4 double cheese burger. Not what I wanted or what I wanted to pay for but didn't know until after I got the receipt.

Very, very good ice cream. However, they don't label which flavors are in what cups, and my large family all ordered different flavors. Needless to say, nobody knew who's was who's, and we all inevitably ended up eating each other's orders.Other than that, they have good variety in terms of ice cream flavors, and good staff. They allow dogs in the outdoor area, and I'm sure their food is good as well. (We only ordered ice cream).Kid-friendliness: Just an inviting atmosphere which the kids enjoyed, and it was pretty calm and slow on the day we went. Kids were playing and enjoying the ice cream.Wheelchair accessibility: They have a wheelchair ramp leading up and down anywhere with stairs. Into and out of the ordering area, and outdoor seating area.

Music that was playing was good. Food was over priced. We had 2 ordered of chicken strips and a mama bear burger. They all came with fries but the chicken was over cooked and they only gave us about 1/2 an ounce of ranch in a 2 oz portion cup. Between the 3 orders of fries we were only given 5 tiny fry sauce cups. Shakes were good. Sad thing is it is one of the only places open on a Sunday.

Ordered burger, fish and chips, and 2 shakes. After about 5-10 min, they called our number and said that our shakes were ready. They gave us some one else's shakes. We took them back to the window and they fixed it. We then waited for more than 20 minutes later because they did not call our number that the food was ready. It was not called but about 10 others that ordered after us were called. We had to go up and ask about the order. After about 5 min, they finally gave us our food. Once we got it, the food was good.

“Nadia! Bring me my shake!”Hometown is open Sundays. Again, long lines on a Sunday afternoon. The raspberry shakes are a little too “seedy” for me. They taste just like any other raspberry shake in town. I did not notice that they offer lime for their shakes. Yes I’m a big fan of raspberry lime.Didn’t get food but they were reasonably quick on getting the order out.

Go to Merlin’s if you want a decent sized shake right across the road. Hometown claims to do over the top shakes but ours didn’t even reach the top of the cup. We saw people leaving Merlin’s with much bigger cups and the ice cream was above the top of the cup. And the food to feed my family of 4 was over $70. Overpriced and I’m underwhelmed to say the least.
