Our Group of 10 recently had an excellent stay at the Marina Side KOA. We had a small cabin that was clean and warm. The mattress are a little firm but such is camping. We also had an RV spot with a private fenced area and hot tub. Great for the dogs. This KOA has great amenities with nice large clean showers and bathrooms, and great kids facilities. The kids loved the train cars the hook to a tractor and pull around the campground. The best part was the staff. Everyone we spoke to was very kind and helpful. The GM was great and clearly runs a fantastic place to work. We even had employees offer us rides in their golf carts when we had a long walk around the campground to park a car. They had daily activities such as tie die, and free coffee and donuts. Would absolutely recommend staying here. They provide a lot of value outside of a place to just sleep for the evening.

Update-We had the manager (Joanne) reach out to us and she said she would give us a one night credit for the issues. She told us it would be in the notes on the account. She even commented on this original reviewWe called today to book for next year. That manager is no longer there. There were no notes on the account. They do not have a new manager until December. The man that is filling in refused to do anything. He said I can wait until December but the bookings with be full by then. Do not stay here. Their customer service is a joke!....For the amount of money we paid, we had several issues in our deluxe cabin and it wasn't worth the cost! The microwave kept overheating after just a minute of use. We called shortly after hours to the number provided. We called several times and nobody picked up. It said to call even for something small. We just wanted to heat our dinner. Nobody ever answered. The lights in the bathroom shorted out and we had to have someone come and do something in the fuse box.It just seems like the value wasn't there. If the service was better, we would have really like the campground

We LOVE this KOA! The location is incredible: close to Bear Lake, restaurants, and a small grocery store (with a state liquor store inside). The campground is impressive. A wide variety of sites to book, including small cabins, tent sites, and RV sites. They have deluxe sites with additional amenities, like a playground, fully fenced yard area, or private hot tub. The landscaping is beautiful, and the site layout is well thought out (though be aware: there are a lot of sites). The grounds boast abundant amenities and activities, including mini golf, playground, dog park, pickle ball, pool, giant jumping blob, planned crafts (some free, some $), themed weekend activities, outdoor movies on Saturdays, bike rentals, laundry ($), showers, and more. The atmosphere is very fun and family-friendly. Dogs are allowed on-leash.The staff here are always friendly and welcoming. Some of the most helpful RV park staff we've encountered in our camping adventures.Couldn't be happier with our trips here, and plan to come here for years to come!

The staff was friendly at check in and answered questions promptly. The quiet hours were not enforced so it was a bit loud with a family reunion going on and the staff catered to the larger group when other small groups of campers complained about the noise. The said reunion had music and activities in the grass area right in front of our tent so if calm and relaxing is what you’re looking for you’ll want to pick a site deeper in the grounds. Our kids loved the amenities and activities. The other sites with hot tubs and cabins looked really neat. Our deluxe tent site was perfect for what we were looking for size wise. We had a trailer with us and there was plenty of easy access parking in an overflow lot. We were close enough to walk to restaurants and shops but far enough that traffic noise was not an issue.

We’ve been coming here for over 20 years. Service just isn’t as good since it changed ownership. The bathrooms across from our cabin were filthy and went a day and a half with no paper towels. It rained while we were here and most everywhere becomes a muddy mess. Very low spot with a huge puddle where are car is supposed to park that was there almost the whole trip. The showers in the new shower building all had signs saying no hot water. I did end up getting hot water there, but turned very cold after about a five minute shower. Tried to use their kitchen to boil water and half the burners didn’t work and the others didn’t get to boiling. Prices here just keep going up as well. They are making some areas nicer, but some minor things are just overlooked.

I was shocked at how rude the person checking us in was. I received a text stating that because I was a late arrival I should pull into my spot and go by the office in the morning. After getting there at 9 pm and pulling in I noticed the office was open until 10. I decided to go let them know I was there and the girl working was irritated that I had already pulled in. When I explained why I didn’t stop by the office she just rolled her eyes. I also was a bit disappointed that our space does not have the amenities that are listed online. There is no where for us to set up a small tent, the grass area is the size of a picnic table (not sure where I would move that to), and our fire pit is against the road so we can’t put our camp chairs around it. (1/2 circle) When I tried to bring up my concern (I have little kids) the office lady just said “I am trying to do my job”. I don’t even understand how that statement is a reaction to my concern. It was like she wasn’t even listening. She then asked me my spot number and when I told her she made a face. I could tell by her expression I am not the first person to complain about this space. (28) A little work on customer service skills could go along way.

We recently stayed at the Marina Side KOA and I cannot rate the campground or employees highly enough. The weather ended up being decent for mid-September and while their bike shop would normally be closed, they decided to open it. The maintenance man had to pivot and run the shop and did a great job. The daily activities for the kids were great, and they can't stop talking about the train rides! Every employee was friendly, kind, and willing to help with any questions we had. We stayed in a deluxe cabin with a bunk room. We had two adults, two kids, and a dog, and the space worked for us for the three nights we were there. The cabins were new, clean, and well appointed. The campground was nice and quiet too, with people really respecting the quiet hours. My sister stayed in a campsite with a hot tub, which was a really nice bonus for us. The hot tubs were clean and hot! We will for sure be back to this KOA!

Please be aware that the computer system chooses your space if you don't when you make reservations. No one bothered to mention that when we made our reservation ten months ago. Our space is on the corner by the office. It has no grass. It is in the line of all foot and vehicle traffic in and out of the park. The spaces in this small area are crammed together. We literally could reach out our window and touch the motorhome next to us. We heard every conversation going on. These spaces should be reserved for last minute customers who are staying a short time. We have four days booked for a very unpleasant stay. The office person gave a 10% "customer satisfaction" refund on very expensive space. This customer is NOT satisfied!

We booked a week at the campground while our family stayed at our timeshare (WorldMark) which was about a mile away, since we were traveling with our dog, who's not allowed at the timeshare. The campground offers every amenity and more (bike rentals, mini golf, and more). Bear Lake is a gorgeous destination tucked into a corner of Utah and Idaho where you can drive to many interesting places and historical sites within about an hour's drive. The staff were all pleasant, and our site was perfect with a picnic table with four chairs (not benches!), fire ring, and a swing for two. The family loved coming over for s'mores in the evening around the fire. We had an amazing time!

I was blown away with how great this place is. From our PRIVATE HOT TUB to the mini golf. We had a great time. The wifi was spotty but once I talked to a person in charge they helped us get connected and it worked most of the time. If you have younger kids I would say 12 and under, this is a place that will keep them entertained all day. But, for the older kids you can rent E-bikes and ride around Bear Lake. (We rented the E-bikes 2 days in a row). We played pickleball, checkers and one morning they offered a tye dye activity (that was only 14 dollars per shirt.) The bathhouse is unisex. They have a nice dog area. I loved our spot. It was private but spacious. We set up our corn hole boards and had enough room to play. There's a grocery store next to the KOA. I was so impressed with how much this KOA offered. They even have a outdoor kitchen where you can wash your dishes and also it had electric stoves to cook on. They give you wood to burn in the firepit but we brought our own. It's a great place for families with younger kids for sure.

Stayed in the treehouse site. The site was completely fenced-in, so it was nice to have the privacy. It had a hot tub, a bbq grill and a putting green. Only complaints is it was right near the main campground road so there was a lot of traffic during the day. It said it had a tent pad but the only spot was near the kids treehouse. We could not use the large tent we brought. It would help if the put that in the campsite details. Other than that we had a great time.

Loved our stay! They had plenty of fun things for my kids to do (14 and 12 years old). The facilities were clean. A major drawback was no cooking grate for the fire pit. We had to pivot because that was assumed. The grates that are sold in the store do not fit the fire ring so it was useless but we were told that they fit before purchasing so we felt a bit jipped. Overall it was still a great experience.

reserved RV hookup - family was at tent camp site - we used community cooking area for all meals. Water stovetop and grills were perfect for meal prep.Kids loved running around at the pool, bounce house, mini golf, pickleballPickleball gets super busy - they need a next turn system where you put your paddles up as residents just ignore anyone waitingLove being right by a grocery store and walking distance to town

Very dirty shower areas. They give you access to both campgrounds but we found that they were missing toilet paper and soap 95% of the time and the paper towels were just on the counter being used as tp being touched by everyone. We called and asked for toilet paper and they said they would send someone 30 minutes later someone comes around on a golf cart looked at the bathrooms then left. The campers next to us also had called about the toilet paper. There’s no shade if you’re camping in a tent either. Camps are super close to one another.

We stayed last weekend and the place was packed. Even with the sites being pretty close together it didn’t feel crowded or loud. There were kids having fun everywhere but it didn’t feel like it disrupted our peaceful experience (We know you can sometimes be stuck with a loud or disrespectful neighbor and we got lucky!)So many activities and the staff felt very genuine when they interacted with the kids participating. All staff that we ran into asked how our day was going and were vey helpful. One of the employees saw me walking with my trash and told me to just toss it on his cart, small gestures make big impact!I wish I could find a link to send a review to their corporate office but I could not find it anywhere on the KOA website. We were having so much fun we wanted to stay an extra night (on a SATURDAY) Joanne was so helpful and put up with us checking back for cancellations over and over. She was able to squeeze us in and we got extra vacation! All of the processes and interactions were great but we want to make sure KOA knows how helpful she was and how much we appreciate it! We are putting this on our yearly schedule.BTW there is a secret Lego store within walking distance called Bricks and Mini Figs, it shares a parking lot with Moose Buns Coffee

The workers are rude! One in specific. Her name is Joey. She was extremely rude and yelled at people in the group I was with. When you talked to some of the workers they made you feel like an inconvenience.I have stayed here before and when it was with the previous owners the workers were so nice and friendly and helped clean. Since the new ownership prices have gone way up! We spent $20 more a night with the new owners! The bathroom garbages were always full.Yes there was one or two workers who were nice. But for the most part you felt like an inconvenience. If you needed to call the office for anything they would never pick up the phone. The previous owners had workers who would drive you to your spot when you got there and made sure you got in your spot and parked your trailer and asked if you needed anything. Since the new owner they just take your money tell you were to go and move on to the next customer. They only seem to care about making money instead of making sure people are happy.Find a new place to stay. This place is not what it used to be. Terrible!

Super disappointed this trip!!The Koa staff in the office are not friendly and you can tell it's a new ownership. It didn't have that friendly welcome vibe it use to have, even just last year. My biggest complaint is that the Bathrooms are not kept up on.For someone who is pregnant and using them frequently, it was annoying to not have toilet paper in every stall, or soap in each facility. So yeah people are walking around touching everything without their hands being washed!!! Not to mention how dirty the bathrooms would get. We didn't even try to use the showers they were so gross. The price they charge for the mini cabins is not worth what you get from this location IMO. We go every year and will more than likely be looking for a new place to stay. There were 6 of us and we all agreed it was not great!

Facilities & grounds are nice but the price is ridiculous. Rented 3 cabins with bathrooms but ended up cancelling because we found a 4 bedroom, 4 1/2 bath townhome with much nicer facilities for a tiny bit more money. Why do people pay so much for KOAs?

We will definitely be back to this location. This was an amazing experience. All the amenities are awesome & so much fun for the kids. They have daily activities on the activity board.Mini golf course, volley ball, basketball court, chess, checkers, rec room & so many others. The best part was the bike shop rentals. They have so much to offer. My family & I tried all the rentals & by far the e bikes are the best. Mike the maintenance guy was one awesome dude. He helped us with everything & I really appreciated how much he did for us. He’s only there till October 15th I believe. They rotate posts.Every team member was very friendly & family oriented. They have private enclosed showers & private toilet rooms. We rented the private enclosed patio for our dogs & they were in heaven. Only negative about the enclosed site. They don’t have lights or plugs to run a light. So u must run an extension cord from your trailer for power. Also on our site it was suppose to have a swing. There was no swing unfortunately as described or in the pictures. We still had a good time. This koa is directly on the bike path so it’s for the bike enthusiasts for sure

Overall our trip was great! The environment was pleasant, the activities were nice, and the cabin was good. Our cabin came with very little toilet paper and no linens for the couch bed. The cabin didn't seem to be cleaned, either. The floor and fridge were dusty and the blinds were broken. We would stay here again, though, as it was one of the better KOAs we've stayed at. The staff did provide more TP when we brought it up and they took full responsibility for the lack of amenities.

Love this place I have stayed there for seven years this year will be my eighth year. I’d love the accommodations I love the staff they treat you like family. The grounds are clean organized and everybody is happy and friendly even the guests. Lots of fun things for the kids to do and are constantly entertained there is not one bad thing I could say about this place. As you know I’ve gone through seven years going on my eight I wouldn’t go back if it wasn’t ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ stars

Very accommodating, and comfortable. We were able to bring our pup with us which made the experience twice as great! They even have a dog park! The beds were super comfy, it was like home away from home. Will never stay anywhere else!

Some of the staff were very difficult to deal with (desk staff). No enforcement of 5 mph. Staff takes kids on barrel train rides pulled by a tractor at a brisk pace throughout the park. Saw so many near accidents over 4 days. Not safe.Safety: Lacking.Walkability: Easy access to everything...this is the only reason we stayed.

We were up here over the weekend for a family reunion with almost 80 people and it was great. Check in process was smooth and everyone was very kind and accommodating. They had a lot of fun activities for the kids to participate in and the kids never got bored. You can ride your ATVs from camp and it is a short distance to the marina. Overflow area was great to have as well. Some of our sites were looking a little rough and some are a little closer than most places but overall we plan to stay here again. We had family that stayed in the cabins as well and they all seemed pretty pleased.
