Torn about this one. One day I was in there and a guy helped us out a ton with getting some grilling equipment! Phenomenal customer care. The very next morning we came to buy some sleds. We spend $250 on sleds just to find that the sleds were defective only 30-40 minutes later. We returned to the store within 2 hours to return the defective sleds and exchange them for some nicer ones. No returns were allowed, no store credit, etc. despite the receipts stating that there is a 90 day return/refund policy. I had spent $1,500 across two days here & customer service collapsed for a $100 issue. Fairly upsetting.Wish I could leave a stronger review seeing as they are a solo supplier/shop of their kind in the area… but I felt it was important to share our experience. Buy once, if you are hesitant or worried that you may need to return an item, purchase it from another store. The returns & refund process will not go well here - it seems that there isn’t one unless it’s an ‘ace’ branded product.

I was just delivering building supplies for their new store all the shelving the guys unloaded me a day early that'll give him five stars. I believe it's going to end up looking really nice when they're all said and done right now they're still putting it all together.

We were vacationing at Bear Lake, and lost a bolt in our rear shocks. Came to Ace to buy some tools and replacement bolts. Kevin was so helpful, offering tools and advice. We really appreciated their above-and-beyond service and support.

I went to the Garden City,UT store today to get some paint matched to the exterior HardieBoard that we have on our cabin. Duane was able to do it perfectly and his wife Sheri courteously checked me out. I love this store. There are always people there who want to help me and have always been able to answer my questions. There is no other hardware store in my area where I get that service with a smile and usually a story as well. My neighbor Kari Wybrow also make sure that I am always taken care of and recently introduced me to the Handyman service which did a great job with some repairs that I was unable to make.

This Ace Hardware is great, and an awesome resource for anybody needing home improvement/maintenance parts up in Garden City. The selection could be a little better, but it is acceptable for being in such a desolate area.Their prices are egregious, however. How is a gallon of paint $82? I can get a gallon of paint in Utah County for $24. A 6-pack of 9 Volt batteries is $30.

These guys are everything but helpful, I purchased a tent from them that was supposed to be for two people and we set it up and in order to fit two adults you have to be curled up next to each other. They said they wont do the return even though I I have the original receipt and it said they have a 90 day return.

We were looking for a retaining pin which is not of the formal size range. The young lady behind the counter with dreadlocks knew exactly where they would be, and then walked all the way back to show us a couple of more drawers on the opposite shelf to search. We didn't find the pin, but really we're impressed with the kind of customer service I remember from when that meant something.

On Feb 22nd I went to pick up a few items we needed. Ramona was the cashier and was amazing. I used one coupon and she showed me where to look on my receipt to see it. The associates were all very friendly.

This is a very good store to go to if you need to repair something or having anything to do with hardware. I am a general contractor and use it very often because they have items I need for different jobs. Considering that this store is 40 miles from a major city I would say that the prices are fair. The staff is very friendly and bend over backwards to serve people. The manager, Andy is very nice and helps everybody he can.

I'm so happy to have a place like this to shop when camping at Bear Lake, they have a little bit of everything. Also they have free popcorn to munch on while shopping, which is great for me and my kids. They also are right next door to a cute little grocery store where you can pick up almost anything else you forgot. We make a few trips to this place every year when we visit Bear Lake.

Bait and switch. I bought a shade pop up canopy from them. Took it to the lake. Everyone had a pop up canopy. While setting ours up one leg bent. Then another bent with a small breeze. I was the only canopy that used the guy lines too! Everyone else's canopies were staying and not moving. I took it back because the receipt says 90 day returns. The manager pointed to a sign and said they don't take back canopies. It sounds like they know they have an inferior product and can easily sell it to out of towner's in a bit and switch sell. If they have a special policy they need to tell the customer and not rely on a small white sign that the majority of people will not read.So sad they tarnish the Ace name.

We bought a cabin at Bear Lake four years ago. We needed to do some repairs and little “fix it’s” so we’ve done a lot of shopping at the Ace Hardware in Garden City, Utah. They’ve always been extremely helpful and have gone out of their way to help us find what we need. HOWEVER- tonight we had two little grandsons join us at the cabin. Suddenly we remembered that the next day was Easter Sunday and we didn’t have any eggs for the Bunny to hide. Thinking we were doomed we ran to the Ace Hardware store in Garden City. They didn’t have any plastic eggs but Andy- remember that name ANDY (he’s the manager)- told us that he had some at his home and he’d be happy to go get them for us. Wow- how often does that happen?? Andy, you’re the best and we really appreciated your kindness in dropping everything to make sure our grandson’s had an Easter Egg hunt. Super nice guy and a super nice store. I’d give them 10 stars if I could. Great store! Give them your business.

Plenty of selection for such a small store. Great staff to help you. Likely too many staff because the prices are really high here. Expect to pay 30-50% more than what you would pay in Logan or Montpelier. I guess they can charge what they want because they are the only hardware store in town.

Poor customer service. Bought a couple of fans but they didn’t work out how I’d hoped. They wouldn’t let me return them “because they were open” even though there’s no mention of that in their return policy.

Ace had what we needed but the employees were not at all helpful. We had to go find the price of an item they did not know. Wr also bought a piece of wood and we were just told to drive around the back and find it. There were snow covered piles of wood without any labeling. Again, they had what we needed but being the only place to buy tools etc in a small town lends itself to poor service.

We bought a place there at BearLake been doing a lot of fixing up and remodeling tryin to do it myself, have to tell ya Ace Hardware in Garden City is a Gem Andy and the gang are just plain great. Prices are usually the same and sometimes better always very reasonable. Andy has been fantastic in helping me rewire and wire things. Thanks so much guys!

Bought camping chairs that we didn’t need and were unused, unopened with receipt in hand to return the next day and we were told they do not accept returns. Well I guess we will no longer be using your store. For being in a small community along with the vacationers that shop there it is a shame that you take them for granted. Hopefully not all Ace Hardware stores treat the public and the community that keeps them in business like this location does. What a shame.

Didn’t feel welcomed whatsoever. I walk in two ppl working none which greeted me. I walk down aisles and one of the worker starts following me making it seem as if I’m going to steal. I stand at the aisle by the register and the two employees greeted everyone else that came in but kept watching me. Come to realize me and my gf were the only brown ones in there. Tried to asked for help and would only get one word answer. As I go to check out one employee rings us up and the other stands behind me just watching me the whole time. As I finish paying I tell the employees to have a good day and got no response in return. Idk if it’s a race thing or what but you guys should check your employees.

They have made Garden City a much nicer place than it would otherwise be. They have done wonders with their new Mike's Grocery and Ace Hardware. They are good people and have contributed emensely to the Bear Lake area

This Ace is awesome. It's smaller than some Ace's, but the friendly staff more than makes up for any smallness of size. It's pretty much always a pleasure to go in and purchase what I need at that moment.

I baught the last item on display. Was told to pay full price. Took it and even though it was not in its box. Got home only to discover it did not have all the parts for it. I went back and would not even give me a partial credit back or store credit. I am highly disappointed and upset. Not going to return.
