took our dog to be groomed, made an appointment for 10:30 and when we got her there they said it could be 3-4 hours. fast forward almost 6 hours, we call and they say it’ll be probably a half hour but they’ll let us know. nothing. so finally we go to pick up our dog, and instead of only doing what we asked they added on a bunch of things and almost doubled our total, and the icing on the cake is that anybody that would be able to do anything about it wasn’t there, the employee pretty said to stick it. very unhappy with the service and the way we were treated.

I have been to this Petco location a few times now to see the animals that they have. It is a smaller location but definitely has a lot to see. I love seeing the Whisker Cat Rescue cats that cycle through different Petcos - they are always so sweet and want pets. They also have hamsters, guinea pigs, ferrets, snakes and lizards, mice, fish and more!The store is always well kept.

We have two doodles, one with wavy hair and one with tight curls, that we take to Petco for grooming. Karen has been so kind and helpful with teaching my family and I how to care for our dog's grooming needs. Amara recently cut their hair and wow was she so patient with all the matting! I was so impressed with how they looked after. Our dogs get excited about going to "puppy spa" and we owe it to the great staff that take such good care of them!

Amari is providing personal puppy training for Pip. She is extremely knowledgeable about dog behavior, patient and compassionate. She has given me as much confidence as my puppy, and we will both be successful!

I'm not super thrilled about having to write this review but I'm pretty disgusted about walking in and seeing many of the betta fish cups heavily soiled with multiple dead fish not just floating freshly dead but starting to degrade. I'm already aware the store is under poor management but how hard could it be to clean the water of a few cups. Other stores carry easily 20x the amount of fish stocked cups and Iv never seen one dead let alone the last still alive on their last few hours. If this were a dog or cat people would probably hang you out front.

Sarah is AMAZING!! We have a poodle/ spaniel mix. Vinny gets compliments on his haircut all of the time when he's freshly cut. She knows her stuff!

It's super small. It always smells really bad which I get there are going to smells in pet stores but between Ogden down to West Valley City, this is the only location out of 2 different pet store companies that smells really bad. I go for certain things and they are always out. No matter the day or time. Always have to find a store associate to check you out because if you don't, you'll stand there at the front for over 20 mins plus. I live in Farmington and because of always being out of products and the customer service, I'll now drive up to Layton or to Bountiful or I'll go to the competitor's stores. The "ONLY" time I go to this location is if I need something ASAP n need it now for any 1 of my 3 pets, other then that I avoid this location at all cost.

I’ve been taking my dogs to Karen for several years. She is, hands down, the best groomer! The attention and care she gives to my dogs can’t be beat. Karen always explains what she is going to do, based off of what I want done for my dogs. Every time, she exceeds my expectations.

I took my 3 chihuahuas to Farmington UT Petco where they received exceptional grooming service and care. Both Karen and Wesly were very friendly yet professional. Hi I’m 20 years and the employees were extremely difficult to work with to buy at 45 cent fish for my family. I actually had to FaceTime my mom and show them my fishtank in our living room! At the end they still would not let me a 20 year man not buy the 45 cent fish with my little sibling. Sorry to say very disappointed would not recommend working with this petco again:(

I used to go to Petco in Layton but the one in Farmington has way more inventory. Plus Jay was so kind and helpful, makes it easy to want to return to this one! I appreciate the help and friendliness!

An employee helped me find the cat food I needed. She had an adorable bird on her shoulder that my daughter and I loved seeing. She told us about how she baths different birds, which was really interesting! The worker who checked us out helped me load my free bag of cat food offer and was very nice and friendly!!

My dog loves going to Petco! She loves that the doors open for her, and she can just walk right in. The fun toys are at her level so she can reach them to pick something out. The floors are a little slippery for tiny dog feet but other than that, great place. She loves to look at all the critters and fish!

Karen has groomed our little dogs for 10+ years and now that she works at Petco we take them there and she does a great job. She is incredibly patient. She has also been great to our cat which she has shaved for the summer. Recommend her without hesitation.

Karen is the cat whisperer ! My long haired cat gets matted so bad that I have to take her twice a year. Karen is kind enough to make sure that she gets her appts when no dogs are there because 😺 freaks out . Take your cats ! Call though since they don't offer cat groom.apts in the app or online

You can find better prices from other stores and online (including Amazon). But I needed what I needed today, couldn’t wait for something to be shipped to me and one of the items (the most important one for my pet’s health) was not available anywhere else locally. So I ordered on the Petco app. The app was kinda slow. But other than that placing the order was easy.This is me trying to help out because maybe store management isn’t aware… but the app has the feature to let the store know “I’m on my way” and “I’m here”. So of course I used those. It wasn’t a super long wait, but I did have to wait a little bit after I arrived. First of all, I wasn’t sure where to park and wait. It would be so great if there were designated order pickup spots!! (Like so many other stores with online ordering have.) I’m really not sure how long I waited but the app showed the option to “remind store” I was there, so I pushed that. Once the employee came out with my order, (and unfortunately half my order was out of stock, despite being shown as available in app), they said I was supposed to call upon arrival. Nowhere in the app nor my emails did it say I needed to call. So I’m not sure if store management can get the app and confirmation email changed so that it does say to call upon arrival (because I had no idea I was just waiting cuz I thought they were maybe busy). Or maybe don’t ask people to call at all? You’re already checking ID to confirm the right person is picking the order up. And clearly you were able to see I was there (otherwise how would I have gotten my order brought out at all?). Sooo why do customers need to call?I don’t see myself shopping here again unless I have an emergency and can’t get what I need from Smith’s or Walmart or Target.For what it’s worth, the employee was very nice! I don’t blame them at all! Very understanding when informing me of the need to call. No complaints about the actual employee!! Calling just seems like an unnecessary policy to me when ordering in app.

Good store and people just the service for vidal care is complete garbage. This lady was hard to understand lady kept pushing the membership and wouldn't turn off auto renew since you can't just leave the vidal care apparently,just watch me?! And whatch me never shop there again for most things are overpriced. It's useful to have when you shop at petco but I told her many times I don't and please shut it down and she kept on saying stuff like what about the savings for 5$ and disregarded what I was saying and she did not turn off renew like she said she would. She really ticked me off.

Got my dog groomed here and he looks terrible. Seriously, for $76 I think that I can at least get a clean cut. I did it better myself before and I do a terrible job. They didn't even clean his paw hair. I don't even know if they brushed his teeth. I still gave a tip - shouldn't have. There should be a money back guarantee for cases like this. Don't tell me my dog was an angel if you obviously struggled to clean his hair!Sorry, but this is not a groomer. I'm super disappointed.

I’ve been here a few time, each time I was not greeted and it took about 15 minutes for someone to finally come and help me check out at the register.Might as well make a self check out!On todays occasion 3 employees watched me walk towards the register with my items and none of them went to check me out and another saw me standing by the register and didn’t say or do nothing. Horrible I ended up walking out after 10 minutes of waiting.
