We had an amazing time during our stay at the Slot Canyons Inn! It is surrounded by tranquil beauty and such a great place to relax and reset by taking in the beautiful views that surround this incredible family owned and cared for B&B. Joette (our Hostess and owner) prepared homecooked incredible breakfasts to start out our days of exploring the incredible beauty this area of Utah provides. We had their favorite granola, banana pancakes with homemade syrup, some of their home grown peaches, and freshly prepared eggs to order. Be sure to try her incredible jams and peanut butter with her homemade breads by the toaster! For dinner we ate at the North Creek Grill that is located right on the grounds of this B & B and it was incredible food. We had the tenderloin and the picahna.... Best food in the state of Utah! The outdoor ambience is also wondeful. It is so convenient to eat dinner right at the B & B after a log day of exploring. You will feel the same, guranteed! We also had a great time walking around their serene ranch grounds observing horses, cows, turkeys and their beloved dog Chaco! He loves to play fetch by the way!Like star gazing? This is the place! We took our blankets outdoors and laid in the lounge chairs that are provided on the many deck areas and watched the skies in awe...Infinite stars to view and you can even see the shadowing of the Milky Way as you gaze up to he night sky.If you are debating where to stay in this area...Debate no longer! You'll be so glad you stayed here.We will be back again and again:)Todd & Robin Travis

5 stars. This Inn is a desert dream. Amazing views. Close to hiking, biking, and all outdoor adventures. Just a stone throw from the downtown area of Escalante. We loved Candy and her amazing breakfasts in the morning!! It is so peaceful and quiet here. We enjoyed seeing the cows and horses roaming around and looked forward to being greeted by Chocko the dog :). I can’t imagine staying anywhere else in the area. We can’t wait to come back!!

We chose this hotel at the last moment because our other hotel had an influx of bad reviews. I am so glad that we stayed here. The locale is so stunning, and the sunsets and sunrises are beautiful. I love that it's away from everything else and is so quiet and peaceful. Our room was very nice, we had no complaints about this at all. We had an evening meal and breakfast the following morning. The evening meal was absolutely delicious and the serving staff were lovely. The breakfast wasn't to my taste, so I ended up having breakfast elsewhere, but you can't please everyone! We only stayed for one night but I would love to come back and stay for a few days and explore the local area. So beautiful.

Had a wonderful time at Slot Canyon Inn. Joette is such a wonderful host making us feel so welcome. Our room “Anasazi”. Was perfect with a little fireplace that was so cozy. Candy and Joette made us a yummy breakfast each morning before we headed out on our various daily adventures. We can’t say enough how perfect this inn is. Stay here and you won’t be disappointed. Don’t forget to say hello to Chocko the rock fetching dog. 🐕

This inn is inn-credible! 😉. We stayed here 3 nights in late June. The inn is beautiful, the property is peaceful, and the rooms are very comfortable and lovingly decorated with furniture and artwork from local artists. There aren't fridges in the rooms but there is everything you might need in the kitchen downstairs...a fridge, ice, coffee/tea, wine glasses, a water dispenser, etc. The breakfast was different each day and delicious. This was our base for exploring the slot canyons - we'd leave early in the morning to beat the heat and looked forward to coming back here in the evening to shower and relax on the balcony and take in the views. The restaurant was closed for renovations but there were plenty of places to eat in town. We were sad to leave.. 3 days was not enough.

This place is absolutely fabulous. We stayed here on our honeymoon and again on our two year anniversary. Joette was so great. She is the sweetest hostess and very accommodating. They have an amazing backyard patio where you can eat dinner with an outdoor brick oven and the pizza... SO GOOD! Breakfast is awesome too. Amazing granola, homemade breads and coffee cakes and much more. It is a fabulous establishment and I we will stay here again when the opportunity arises. The red rose room is amazing. Stay here! You won't regret it.

The SCI is beautiful! The grounds are well maintained, the rooms are clean and spacious, and the views are amazing. The owner is delightful and prepared a delicious breakfast for everyone. There is even an archaeological site on the property, one of the oldest sites on The Colorado Plateau. We would definitely stay here again! Five stars!

We stayed in the Moonrise Apartment for our elopement weekend and it was so perfect! Quiet and serene with unreal sunrises as the cattle (longhorns!) chomped on grass in their pasture. We didn't get to partake in breakfast because of our busy weekend but we heard the breakfasts are a delight! We will definitely be coming back!

I wish I could give 10 stars. I can't say enough good things about this place. Myself and 3 friends did a mini road trip across Utah to see the parks, and we stopped here for 1 night to hike Calf Creek. We could have stayed all week. Amazing property, clean, comfortable, amazing sheets, breakfast was incredible and the staff was so friendly. The owner is a sweetheart and this place is a gem. It's only about 2 miles from "downtown" Escalante where there are a couple gas stations, restaurants and stores. This place is a must stay on your Utah travels!!

Sunrise from our room. Drive down a gravel road into a canyon to find this amazing retreat. We stayed in Moonrise for a serene, luxurious, sleep. Complete with stargazing without any light pollution. Check in was simple, with our key and instructions waiting for us. We signed up for our preferred breakfast time. Then in the morning we were treated like family who had been away for a while, offered more than a full breakfast, on various stages. They even accommodated vegan and gluten free with multiple offerings. A more scenic place I can't imagine. We want to plan a trip back to stay here, and bring a 4WD vehicle to explore Escalante.

Great, comfy b&b w/ generous, well-appointed rooms. Great breakfasts (and dinners, see separate review for North Creek Grill). Cheery and helpful staff make you feel right at home. Conveniently situated amongst the National Parks. Save a few hours to walk around here before you head out for the day, or come back early for an evening stroll; they have private land with beautiful views and Native American and early Mormon rock art.

Took me a while to review this place - we were here two Falls ago and could not have had a more perfect stay. The accommodations were great, the food outside was a satisfying end to a day out in the desert, and we felt very welcome and at ease. We came here for two nights to experience some slot canyon adventures and it was great to be able to unwind in the evenings and mornings. After coming back stinky and muddy, the hosts were gracious and invited us into their home with a smile. We met not only the hosts but some of the other guests and even ran into some of them later in our travels - it was a delight to stay here, for sure.

Our favorite hotel stay during our vacation to Utah national parks. Beautiful view of the mountains, stream and open fields. Our room was clean and comfortable with our own bathroom. Our room has a jacuzzi hot tub. It just feels wonderful to be here, far away from the city stress. Every morning the owner Joette Marie lovingly cooked and served hot breakfast to all the guests. I miss the delicious breakfast. They were exotic food you don't get at a restaurant. All the hot coffee and tea you can drink. Breakfast is included with the room. The Inn has an on site high end restaurant that serves healthy and delicious dinner. Only complaint is the shower water pressure was low, but plenty of hot water. They can use better road sign. Would be hard to find is you come at night. Had a wonderful stay here. Can't wait to come back and stay longer this time.

We stayed here five days and split our stay between the Moonrise Suite and the Dance Hall Rock room. The Moonrise Suite was my favorite. It's on the edge of the property so it feels like you're on your own. It's great to lie in bed and look out the window at the sunrise and the view. At first we couldn't find the cats that were mentioned in other reviews (one of the reasons we booked lol), but they found us if we hung out outside at night. While we had a semi-high-clearance SUV, we weren't up for being jostled for hours in a rental, so we couldn't do many of the fun slot canyon trips nearby. Instead we did Bryce Canyon one afternoon (1 hr drive), Capitol Reef (get there early for the pies), stayed on the property at least one full day, Dixie Forest, and my favorite was going to Boulder and doing the (paved) Burr Trail Road.

We stayed at Slot Canyon Inn for three days and two nights on our family's southwest vacation and were so pleased, we can't wait to go back! Our children are 6-11 years old and there was plenty to keep them occupied right on the property. Joette-Marie, the owner, was such a pleasure to meet and a truly lovely person. She home-cooks breakfast every morning and what a delicious feast her breakfast's are...we couldn't wait to get to breakfast each morning! The rooms are generous, clean and well appointed. The property is a 161 acre working ranch with cattle, horses and pigs and the North Creek running right through it. We played in the creek and two waterfalls, a short hike (about 1/8 mile) from the Inn. She also has an authentic ancient American Indian cave with pictographs right on the property. How cool is that?We will definitely be back to visit Joette-Marie and her little piece of southwest paradise!

Surprisingly nice place! The rooms were large and very nice. Ours had TWO balconies facing in different directions. The adjacent restaurant has good food and nice outdoor patio dining. It’s a bit of a trick to find from the highway, though. Pay careful attention to the directions on their website!

This place is serene, peaceful and idyllic. We stayed here only one night but will definitely come back and stay longer. We have wonderful views, dinner at the restaurant here was amazing, and the breakfast is delightful (especially the homemade granola & the sunflower toast with prickly pear jam.)

Wow, wow, and WOW! Amazing place! Not very easy to get to, but then again with a little luck in good weather, it's a 5 mile hike on varying loose ground to sandy ground (that sandy ground was a killer! :P) It took me around 3 hours, and two bottles of water! The slot canyons themselves are really beautiful, but in order to make your way through them, you... well.... need to be a trim and fit sort of dude/gal. Got any hint of a "Michelin tire" around your waist or any muffin top action, your ability to wiggle your way into the narrow slot canyons will be tough. I was not able to slink and slither myself into the canyons, but what I saw was really super cool. Well worth the time. Expect to set aside 4 hours total to do this. Happy hiking! :D
