Kiva Koffeehouse deserves 10 stars 🌟 Breathtaking views the moment you park up and if the weather is as nice as it was today, it's a toss-up whether to sit inside or out - they have the most spectacular canyon views wherever you sit! Our turkey sandwiches, cappuccinos and cranberry scone were sooooo good. Servers were really lovely too! After spending the last many years traveling around Europe and Canada, I can honestly say this is one of THE best cafe experiences we've ever had. The Grand Canyon, Scenic Byways 6 & 12 and Kiva Koffeehouse have made our first trip to the USA truly memorable 😁

What an incredible surprise to find this beautiful cafe driving through Grand Staircase Escalante in Southern Utah. The coffee hit the spot and the pastries were exceptional. Our party of 4 had cookies, tiramisu, German chocolate muffin and chocolate covered cream puffs. My only regret was that they didn't have any decaf coffee for my husband. The views were incredible and the atmosphere was very inviting. I immediately texted my son about their guest house option for one of their future trips.

Like an oasis in the middle of a desert. On a cross country road trip from North Carolina to Utah... this place was by far my favorite coffee / bakery / sandwich shop of all that we visited. We were lucky enough to drive by it twice! Food was exceptional, unique and delicious! I would totally go out of my way a bit just to experience this place.

I’ve seen tons of social media reviews on this place and I am glad I was able to experience this place. I highly recommend you try at least once. The views are amazing. The building is unique and stunning in its architecture. The food is super tasty. The beverages are the same. The staff are friendly. The ambience is welcoming. This place had been in operation for 25 years which says a lot. Go there. Eat and take in the experience. This place is only open March through October.Perfect little stop to re-energize on our way through. We sat out on the patio and enjoyed the view with our coffee. Freshly made cookies and pastries.Parking: Parking available for large RVs

Okay, so I stopped at this unique coffee shop while visiting Utah in spring 2022. I was going through my trip photos in admiration and felt compelled to leave a review now. I’m a coffee fiend and enjoy trying local coffee shops wherever I go. Driving through Grand Staircase-Escalante, I thought I was SOL in finding a place to grab an iced latte. Stumbling upon Kiva Koffeehouse was the greatest surprise! To this day, I’ve never found a coffee shop as impressive as this one

This is truly a worth-while place to visit! It's a little coffee shop placed right in the middle of a beautiful scenic atmosphere. You just order your coffee with the nice ladies, find a seat, they bring it right to you. I definitely sat outside to take in all the fresh air and scenic views around me! They don't have much food but it's still worth stopping to enjoy your surroundings!

Ummmm talk about a hidden GEM!!!! This place was amazing. The space is beautiful and the service was friendly, I loved my cookie and latte. Save your appetite for the long drive and eat here. Vibes are so chill and the view is insane. It’s spacious and the outdoor seating has shade. Amazing. I wish we had spent more time here but we were just driving through. Worth the stop

Hy husband I stopped in having not seen the sign of the days they are open. I went to the door to ask because I saw two women inside. I knocked lightly on the door and one woman who didn’t open the door yelled at me and said “We are closed. That’s what the sign says.” There are much nicer ways to deal with the public You should learn about them. I will make sure to bypass your coffee shop the next time I am in the area, which will be soon.

Stopped after reading a post saying what a great place this was for coffee. What an awesome experience. Great staff, food, and coffee. The views are incredible. But checkout the building. A great design with attention to detail makes for one of the nicest spaces I have been in for a while. Stop by for a cup and enjoy!

Awesome place with a beautiful view around the scenic landscape. Great food, perfect coffee ☕ (better than usual 😊). The building itself is very interesting to, wooden tree trunks as a structure and windows between - great architecture! Also the surrounding garden is very beautiful done.

I drove 4 and a half hours to come try this place and then i checked the places nearby after. I probably won’t be back for a while so i got a few things when down there. The hot americano was very good, the espresso did not tasted burned. It has a great taste. The iced americano with oatmilk was also delicious. Not overly sweet and not too much milk like other places. The breakfast burrito was tasty, paired well with the green tomatillo sauce.Vegetarian options: Breakfast burrito had no meat.

Our REI Adventures guides Jeff, Marlee and Ellie treated us to a beverage at Kiva Koffeehouse after hiking the Calf Creek Falls trail recently. Jeff taught us that the owners spent years accumulating locally sourced stone and timbers to construct this unique establishment with the utmost care and reverence.I would highly recommend a stop at Kiva Koffeehouse anytime the opportunity presents itself. The views, the service and the overall feel of the place is an experience not to be missed!(ˈkiːvə ) noun. a large underground or partly underground room in a Pueblo village, used chiefly for religious ceremonies.

Gorgeous place to stop for a refresher! We stopped by in the morning and grabbed some food. The views are outstanding and the food hit the spot. It was really warm in the sun and it was tough to find a table we could both sit at and not be hot but they did have all the fans going full blast.

A gem in the wilderness!Incomparable location, very thoughtfully maintained.The design is one thing, but it's amazing that the place is being managed with so much spirit and care.If you're lucky, Dave is there in his colorful shirt, demonstrating some of his Anasazi tools (and his vast knowledge about cultures in the entire world).BTW, the pastries (fresh baked raspberry scones) and coffee are two classes above everything else in the area.You have to visit!
