Stayed 2 nights here, the beds were okay except you could feel the bed springs, no matter how you laid. There are no curtains on the window so the sun was shining brightly through around 5am which made it impossible to get a good sleep/ sleep in a little after hiking all day. They don’t come clean the room or bring you fresh/ new towels everyday, so when we got back from a 17 mile hike, we were all ready to shower and notice that no one came to bring more towels so that was super disappointing. The tv remote was so worn out you couldn’t tell what button was for what. You could tell they were remodeling or what seems to be in the middle of remodeling, there was baseboards missing, the main door had whatlooked like fresh hole patches. Which is fine I didn’t care/mind about that.My biggest complaint is where was never anyone in the office ever, there was no curtains & that house keeping came hours before check out to finally clean the room & bring new towels for the next guest. Not worth $200 a night.

Unfortunately, we were only able to spend 1 night at Circle D and wished we could have had several nights to spend as Circle D is a gem. We were greeted very warmly by the manager and when our room was not ready he gave us room 6. The decor were outstanding with an eclectic feel of the old west. We also enjoyed the the next door restaurant. I would highly recommend Circle D to any of my friends who will be visiting Escalante in the future.

Stop! We fell in love with this quaint hotel. The staff and owner were so awesome! The room exceeded our expectations! We are already planning our next visit. Fire pit was very relaxing at the end of the day!Rooms: Three of us traveling together and all enjoyed the spacious accomodations. Beds were comfortable, fully stocked kitchen too!Nearby activities: Hikes, National Parks, history, owner operated businesses, hunting and fishing. Onsite dog park being built.Safety: I felt comfortable and safe.

So disappointing! Two and ONLY 2 towels and scratch as all get out. Bed like sleeping on a hard floor. So sad this was not a better stay for us. We had the cottage last time we booked with Circle D. It was so hot your couldn’t sleep, so we thought we’d try the hotel, just a disappointment. We’ll never book a room here again. We Love Escalante and will return for yearly vacation and will NOT be staying with Circle D again.

We got into town late at night due to car troubles but still got responses and information from the office. The room itself is very nice. There is the standard microwave, minifridge, coffee, and tv, but there was also extra blankets and pillows stored away in the room, a basket full of extra towels to clean off mud, a guide of eateries in town, and a multitude of nice soaps in the bathroom. Speaking of the bathroom, the shower is amazing! It is not your standard hotel bathroom, it is large and tiled with a high pressure shower head, there is also shampoo, conditioner, and body wash supplied which are all nice and didnt dry out my skin like some hotel soaps do. My only complaint about this entire experience is that there are not curtains on the windows, there is a privacy screen but that doesnt block light, so in the morning I was woken up by the sun. Overall this hotel has amazing service, a lot of amenities, and a great shower. I definitely recommend it.

The room was big, quiet, and CLEAN, and we slept pretty well. I travel with my own pillow but my husband said the pillows were hard and therefore didn't sleep as well. The sheets and towels smelled fresh and the bathroom looked recently painted. The downside, the carpet was pretty worn out in our room (wish I hadn't forgotten my slippers) and the outlets were not that close to the bed. Thankfully, we have long charging cables. We would stay here again if we were to go back to the area.

Room looked nothing like the photos I see on here. I have no idea how this place has a 4.4. The staff was friendly, but the room was a disaster. The bathroom door would not close (due to a poor paint job, I think), there were no curtains at all - light streaming in from all sides - and the wifi was totally non-functional. The room was cheap and I don't mind simple, but don't advertise wifi if it's going to be too slow for basic browsing and curtains are kind of a necessity.

This place is an overpriced dump. At least the rear building is (there are 2 building, one near the street and one toward the back of the property). The building looks to be about 60+ years old and is run down. Outside of the room we're all manner of trash - cigarette butts, bottle caps, wrappers, etc. There seems to be little interest in maintaining the property. Inside of the room, it had been recently painted and was clean but underneath the paint it was run down and whatever repairs had been done where slapdash.Upon checking in, we discovered the windows (east facing) had no curtains so with the intense Utah sun, it would have been impossible to sleep beyond sunrise.Liquid soap dispensing canisters were provided at the bathroom sink but strangely, not at the shower. The shower rod was one of those spring loaded rods that rely on friction to stay in place - ours kept falling down. Shower curtain didn't reach to the shower curb which resulted in the bathroom floor flooding with each shower. With weekend pricing approaching $200 a night, this place is seriously overpriced considering it low quality.Rooms: Run down

Loved my stay here. It is a simple and straightforward motel, but the staff is so friendly and welcoming. Everything was clean and comfortable. The manager helped me get a fire going in the fire pit one evening and a few people joined and played some music. It was incredible!Location is great. Tons of trails nearby!Highly recommend.

It was like find a buried treasure when we checked in to the Circle D, especially after 6 days on the trail. Our room was immaculate and recently remodeled (as are most of the rooms at Circle D). The bed was comfortable. The front shaded front porch offered an awesome place to just sit and have a cold one. We walked to the shops and restaurants easily from our room. I recommend the Circle D if you are planning to stay in the Escalante area.

Nice, clean rooms. Laminate flooring, great for our pups! Beds are a little firmer than I like, but I’ve definitely had worse. Restaurant next door has great food, large portions. Service did take little long, but they were obviously slammed and great customer service and food made up for that. We’d stay there again for sure.

The owner Art was very accommodating with our last minute bookings. I had a large job contracted in the area and I booked my crew of 6 guys to stay several times in July. Art and the office staff where extremely helpful in getting us rooms needed and even after office hours. The Hotel is run by good and friendly business owners and I highly recommend staying in their establishment!

Was an unexpected gem in Escalante. I've been to Escalante once as a kid but returned with my wife to complete a a few days there and a full hike to spooky gulch and also hurricane wash. The owner (I'm assuming it was) who had the two dogs as very personable and kind. I really appreciated his care and he gave me some tips on where to fish in the local area. The motel may be small but it is clean as can be and is definitely top service. Will definitely stay here again when we go back. We loved it.

I'm always a bit leery of choosing the cheapest place in town, but the reviews were good so I decided to give it a try. And yeah, I'd recommend it. The service is friendly, the wifi is fast, the beds are comfortable, I didn't notice any noise at night, and both food options next door are very good. I did notice the cafe wasn't open in the morning as the informational sheet claimed, but I won't even take a star off for that - labor shortages being what they are and all.

Dang,The food was intensely good here. The burgers are made with the freshest tasting beef, huge portion and perfectly cooked. We can't stop thinking about it 3 weeks later. The chicken wings were not gross and fatty like other restaurants. The house lemonade was really refreshing. Order the cheesecake you'll thank me later. The place was clean, service was prompt and our waiter was super friendly. All around a perfect place to eat.

We stayed for 2 days in room #1.While I can‘t speak about the other rooms:Room 1 is moody, old and dirty. The carpet is dirty, the couch is definetely not inviting. Bed sheets and Pillow sheets werd full with red stains - the owner explained that these were from an old washing machine and the old sheets will be replaced soon. We asked for new sheets, but they were even dirtier than before. And the biggest problem: HAIR all over the pillows and bed sheets! After the room service made the beds, new and more hair were on the beds.Nevertheless: the owners and personal was very friendlySumming up: don‘t stay in room 1!

As we travel thro beautiful Utah. We have stayed in high priced hotels. Small cheaper cabins. I have to say , this was by far my favorite place to stay. Clean. Cozy. Comforting. Price is perfect. Also. The owner and crew. We’re the nicest people I’ve met on my journey so far !! Pets welcome. And gazing under the stars at night !!!

I've now stayed at the Circle D in Escalante at least 4 times. The owners have always been super nice. On my last visit, my daughter accidentally left her Kindle behind in one of the rooms. We called the owners and offered to pay them to mail it back to us. They didn't want to charge us and just mailed it to us on their dime. Exceptional people!

This place was perfect for escaping the smoke while camping in the area. Rooms are a bit worn but clean. Toiletries provided were nice and the staff was friendly. We booked on the website for the same day and it worked out fine. Check in was easy. We'll def be back when passing through one of the best parts of UT.
