Tried the Malt Shop last weekend and it was a good choice. Showed up during a dinner rush but had decent food and didn’t have to wait too long. It is your classic small town diner vibe so you certainly will have fun with the esthetic, but note that it’s a small place with limited seating inside. It offers your classic choices of burgers, fries, sandwiches, shakes, and ice cream. I opted for the bacon burger with curly fries and a grasshopper shake, very tasty! But overall the food was pretty average and due to the rush and wait our fries were a little cold. I did love the shake though!

Can you go wrong with The Malt Shop? There was some nostalgia from our years attending Snow, but the food has gone downhill. This was a regular burger. The meat was not edible. My husband said the same for his grilled chicken sandwich. Our daughter's Glacier was decent, and the tator tots were okay. Nostalgia was not worth it this time around.

The atmosphere was extremely fun. It had an old-time diner vibe. The food was average. The fries were good. I got a chocolate shake with peanut butter cups and the chocolate from the peanut butter cups tasted very old. The bathroom is on the outside of the restaurant, go around towards the drive-through and you’ll find it if you need it. There is a big menu board that doesn’t include the shake flavors. For some reason those are on a little card next to the register.

We were in town for the Church of Jesus Christ Manti Temple open house, along with tens of THOUSANDS of other people. We came to eat here based on recommendation of a former resident. Even with the massive influx of business, the restaurant was more than prepared to handle it. ALL the staff were incredibly happy, smiling and even complimenting my mom and I ❤️. They were happy to help anyone who needed it, no matter how busy they were. We got our delicious food quicker than some less busy burger shops we've been to. Highly recommend The Malt Shop to anyone traveling through Ephraim, if for nothing else than the amazing staff working there.

The Malt Shop is one of the best spots in Ephraim to eat! I say this because the food is made with love and care, the workers are friendly, and the atmosphere is comforting to customers.The food is made with so much love and care you can taste it in every bite of whatever item you choose to order. They cook everything to perfection and customers are pleased, especially with the shakes.The employees are extremely friendly with their fellow coworkers and to their customers. Every time I've visited, there wasn't a single rude employee or rude customer. In turn, that makes the experience more enjoyable.The atmosphere of the restaurant is that of a 1950s hamburger joint. There's something about the atmosphere that makes customers want to receive their services. Once again, making the experience more enjoyable and becoming a local hotspot in Ephraim.

The cook tonight was great! My husband always has a hard time getting his burgers with no sauce (no matter where he goes) and tonight his order came out perfect. It even had his requested lettuce and tomato. All our food came out fast and it was all delicious

Avoid this place. We waited in the drive-thru for an hour and a half for malts—trapped between cars—to only be told they were out of ice cream when we got to the window. They could have sent someone out to the line of cars to take orders, share information, or anything. I even went inside to see if I could place an order faster while my family waited, but no one was staffing the counter or taking to customers despite having seven young staff members plus an elderly couple working the kitchen (mostly doing nothing but chatting). This is a woefully managed establishment. I’m so upset at the utter waste of time this was.

We went through the drive thru and waited for almost an hour and a half to get our food. When we got it all of our icecream items where almost all melted. The hamburger was cold and they couldnt remeber what i had ordered. To top it off they kept giving excuses as to why the wait was so long. After all the waiting they didnt even offer a discount or to remake the food. DO NOT GO HERE TO GET ANYTHING BUT TO WAIST YOUR TIME.

A great diner that determined "shakes" where their specialty, and so they put it in the name! They also do milkshakes, which the kids love, and can create pretty much any shake your imagination can come up with. The shake flavors list on the menu are a great place to start, and we typically get one for each member of the family - since no one likes to share!So, for me the shakes are 5-Stars, but the food they provide is 3-Stars; so 4-Stars overall. Not that the food is "wrong", but when you find you way to a small diner in Ephraim Utah, I immediately thought that you would be getting more fresh food, prepared in the back...But, no. The rest of the food is prepackaged, and seems to be reheated as you wait for 8-15min for your food. Nothing even special about the fries or burgers, which was disappointing.With this in mind, we will continue to stop for a shake after a meal, but until they get the rest of the food figured out, we can experience a McDonald's type burger over at the real McDonald's.

It was the worst food I have ever tasted the fish and chips price of $9.99 was 3 very small maybe 1 inch pieces it was a one bite piece.The young man taking orders knew nothing about the menu. The girl helping the young man at front taking orders treated me like it was a real problem answering questions about the meals. I ordered a chocolate chip milkshake I had to go back and ask for the chips there were hardly any at all and boy that really upset her. I was told that the place was great food and good customer service. My experience was terrible !!

The Shop wasPACKED ! But staff was very helpful,cheerful & polite, doing their BEST to satisfy every customer as well as they could to make sure orders were correct & solve problems to ‘make it right’. We were totally impressed by the effort & great food !Wheelchair accessibility: I was surprised by how wide the aisles were~Thanks so very much!

The food was good, but the prices were a little high. It was also really difficult to place our orders, since the girl at the register was not only really slow, but also didn't know the menu or how to input the items into the system. It's nice they have a little park behind the shop that you can eat at, though.

If there were more stars than five I would use them! The Malt Shop is such a friendly environment with incredible food! Seriously, this place has some of the best service you can find. As I was on my lunch break, one of the waitresses asked if I would like a free shake due to one of the drive thru customers leaving it behind! They also make an effort to get to know your name no matter who you are. The food is delicious and you hardly have to wait for it to arrive. This is a MUST STOP if you are ever in Ephraim.
