As of right now all of the trails and viewpoints are under construction and closed here. The view from inside the visitor center is absolutely amazing though! I would still recommend stopping by, especially if you are wanting to buy souvenirs as well. The only view is through the windows, but it was by far my favorite viewpoint of Flaming Gorge out of the many we stopped at. You can still get a good photo if you get close enough. Very amazing!

If I could give the visitor center no stars, I would. My wife and I were riding our bikes up to the entrance of The visitor center on a completely deserted and empty sidewalk. I said let's park over here in the shade well my wife said here's a bike rack. The nosy lady said please don't ride your bikes on the path because it's a walking path. And please don't park over there in the shade use the bike rack even though it's in the Sun. I want the emphasize that there was hardly anyone there. We had no intention of riding our bikes on the path to the lookouts since we had seen them the previous night after the visitor center had closed. So we came back the next day to see what was inside the visitor center. Well after being accosted by the officious lady about our bicycles and where to park them and how not to ride them on any of the the paths, as we walked into the visitor center which had designated entrance and exit doors, the next officious lady said if you have not been fully vaccinated we ask you to wear a mask. I just walked on by on into the visitor center, because my medical history is none of her business. We didn't spend much time in the visitor center.

Beautiful overlooks and easy trails between them. We didn't get to go into the visitor center since it closed at 4pm.

Although the visitors center was closed for the season, the scenic overlook trails were pleasant and had spectacular views!

I came to Flaming Gorge to go fishing. Instead, I ended up at the Red Canyon Visitors Center. This is a "National" Forrest or Monument site, I'm not sure which it is. They do require you to wear masks inside. The attendants at the center were friendly and welcoming. This is a very nice information center with lots to see and read about the local area. There are artifacts and a written history. The view of the Gorge is spectacular right from the center. The kind lady. Behind the desk asked about my interests and mentioned I drive up to Spirit Lake. She pulled out a map and was very helpful. It is well worth a trip to this area!

Red Canyon Overlook is one of those must-see photo stops. 700 feet wide and 1400 feet straight down! The lake is about 250 feet deep here! Spectacular views!!!!!

This is place has the most spectacular views!! So underrated. There was barely no one around and many campsites open. We were able to pick a campsite right on the rim of the canyon in the Red Canyon Campground (site 8). Way better than Tetons and Grand Canyon because no one is here. Just AMAZING!

Unfortunately the visitor center was closed when I stopped by but still plenty to see. Large area of trails with incredible views, restrooms and a large parking area. Also a few campgrounds were located on the road in.

Breathtaking and worth the quick drive off the main road. The Visitors' Center isn't spectacular, but the views are. And the staff was friendly and helpful.

Red canyon is one of the most breathtaking view spots at Flaming Gorge. The canyon itself is very deep and the lake views there are incredible! Flaming Gorge itself is an awesome place to fish, sight see, or just take a break from the daily hustle. This is one spot everyone should see!

Spectacular views over Flaming Gorge. The Visitor Center is about 1,000 feet above the gorge and perched on the edge of the cliff with large windows to get an excellent view. Also a nature walk around the top edge with information panels.

Insanely gorgeous! Definitely do not miss this view! Great exhibits and gift shop to top off the experience. This place has national park beauty. Don't miss out before it's crowded with throngs of people!

Visitor centres don't come with more spectacular view than this. The building roof design, in the shape of a bird's wings is also quite striking. The staff were very helpful and recommended the canyon view walk.

It's a hike but you can still get to the rim and see spectacular views of the Flaming Gorge. Even your dog is free to run at this time of the year. Better views in the summertime. More people around but it is still worth the views high above the George.

Great place to learn and understand how geological changes affected the area and also show how the territory was conquered with big sacrifice to discover this beautiful place.

Visitor Center is closed after Labor Day and reopens Memorial Day weekend. You can still go for some *spectacular* views of the canyon though!
