As a matter of fact I have successfully owned a small business, including the real estate, for over 15 years. The attitude displayed in your response (below) shows why your place is always empty and will be leased to a new tenant within a year. It is reasonable to assume that a retail establishment would be open until 6 or 9PM on a busy Saturday when potential customers aren't working and out shopping.Response from the owner 2 hours agoThis is the most ludicrous, almost laughable, review I have ever received. Our business hours, despite others being open, are completely irrelevant to this post. I assume the reason you are upset is that you did not check the hours prior to arriving, arrived, and were upset someone was not around to cater to you. By this logic, you'd expect a business next to a 24 hour Walgreen's, to be open as well. More so, closing at 5pm does not indicate that "business must be good". If business was great, which would not even matter to you, we would stay open 24/7. Maybe one day you will own a business and someone will leave you an unfair review that is not representative or even have a point in having been said.

They have so many high quality items here! From dog food, leashes, toys, stimulation toys, to chews! I love love love shopping here for my pup, I know she’s getting the best with them!y most recent trip I got my pup a duck neck and duck hearts and she loooves them! Thanks guys!

I've used this place a few times, it is always been great I came in today for a self-serve dog wash, but didn't realize I needed to have an appointment. When I asked the lady if there's anyway we could get in she said very abrasively that they were booked and kept working on what she was doing. When I asked if there was a chance they would have an opening in the same tone she said no and continued what she was doing without much acknowledgment of me. When I agreed she said that we would have to come back tomorrow. The whole encounter was kind of unpleasant and I felt very disregarded by this staff member, I understand where she was coming from but the exchange was less than satisfactory

I recently found this shop and it beats all other pet supply stores in the area! Good quality pet foods, treats, and the bathing section is modern and built for the comfort of your dogs - - and the treat section?! My dogs have loved everything from here so far and it's so fun and cute! We got hemp treats for the fourth as well that my dog ate happily and helped her feel better.

Bath time! We recently visited Hound&Cat for a self serve dog wash! My dog is super afraid of anything metal so we were really glad to see that these are more like your bathtub at home. Big enough for his 70 lbs, and roomy enough for two people to help wash and scrub. Only $13 plus you can pick your shampoo type. They provide aprons, towels, and a blow dryer (if your dog can tolerate it - mine wasn't a fan!). Helpful employees. Easy access to this location, right off Bangeter.

This place is great for do it yourself dog wash!! Absolutely worth the money and they're not even expensive! They charge a minimum for a hour and I was able to wrestle with my Mastiff/Dane (hates water but has long fur and weights 150) completely wash and dry him with time to spare. Spotless clean areas with all the supplies I needed right in front of you it was perfect. The tubs are elevated so my back didn't hurt either. I'll be back on a regular basis from now on.

My poor baby rottie just fought through a battle of Parvo last week. She was vaccinated and titer tested several months ago (4 times the antibodies needed so she was immune). The vet didn't think she could possibly have Parvo so it took 4 days before they ruled out other diseases and finally tested for Parvo. Luckily, my baby girl was only in the pet hospital for less than a day before they said she was on the road to recovery and sent her home with us. Most puppies die if not treated within 24 hours because they get dehydrated...my little puppy girl couldn't keep any food down but she was able to drink a little bit of raw goats milk during the horrible 4 days prior to being diagnosed. I can't thank Marcus and his team enough for recomending awesome raw food for my girl. I know that if she didn't have a strong enough immune system from healthy eating and the raw goats milk then she wouldn't have survived. Thank you for helping save my puppy girl!

This place was FANTASTIC. $13 to wash and dry a dog?! Amazing. They have 3 selections of shampoo, hand massagers for the dog, brushes, a variable shower head, a high power air compressor to dry and even a little face mask for the dog to keep their eyes and ears out of the high powered hair. And coupled with all of that is the friendly staff on hand looking after us!Highly recommend this place for any pet owner!

Hannah was so incredibly helpful! She had quick recommendations and it was comforting to know she uses the products for her own pup. I got the Pumpkin Spice Latte digestive powder and a trial of CBD chews and so far 10/10. My pups have been having digestive issues the last few days and they really lapped up this PSL. So far both the CBD chews and the powder are working super well!! I really appreciate the help I received. The store was super clean and organized. I loved seeing the dog wash station and will 100% come back again! THANK YOU HANNAH!

Glad to have this place at the south end of the valley to have the brands we look for. They have dog bathing stations by appointment. We get the zignature dog food and our dog has never had an issue whatever flavor we give him. And he's a very sensitive fella. Parking is scarce and hours open later than some places for running errands.

I take my dog here around once a month for a self service bath. I LOVE having this place near me. i’m in Bluffdale and the closest one to me was in Daybreak where the service was terrible. The workers here are super friendly and kind to my pup every time. The place is really clean and well maintained and the price can’t be beat. I will be going here forever and I will recommend it highly to anyone.

This was such a great experience! I can not give Hound and Cat high enough praise for their self dog washes and customer service!! I’ve already recommending this place to everyone I know; book an appointment, you won’t regret it! Hound and Cat has saved me so much time and energy, and the cost is low enough that it’s 1,000% worth it! Everything is SO clean and nice and they have everything you’ll need right there and ready for your appointment. The products smell great, their setup is PERFECT for convenience, you get plenty of time, and the amazing staff is always happy to grab more towels or anything else you’ll need. The staff is so helpful and friendly, which really makes you feel welcome right away.This was my first time ever going to a self dog wash as my dog HATES baths and I was worried about how she’d do with it. I can honestly say that this was the best bath experience we’ve ever had with her, she actually enjoyed most of it for the first time ever, and we were able to do it and have her dry in record time! Thanks to everything provided we were able to get my 3/4 Husky washed and dried in about 25 minutes; at home it takes 15 minutes just to get her water-resistant coat wet enough to even add shampoo. I am GENUINELY impressed with Hound and Cat and will be doing ALL of my dogs baths here from now on!

Came in to use the self service dog wash. The girl at the counter said I needed an appointment. I responded with there is nobody here. She said I know but it’s our policy. All she had to do was get me some soap from the back room, I didn’t ask her to wash my dog🤷‍♂️ I ended up going to pet supplies plus, they also have a self service dog wash and it was cheaper. Knowing they have competition right up the road, you think they would be a little more accommodating and have better customer service. Won’t come here again, and would not recommend

Every time I go to Hound and Cat it is always a good time, they are so extremely helpful and positive. They are very knowledgeable when it comes to dog food and brands and what would best help you and your animal. Will keep coming back here for sure!

I love this place I have two large dogs, and washing them at home has become increasingly difficult. I tried the little dog was shack at a local car was it was hot and dirty and not well maintained. The staff here was very friendly and helpful. The water was warm, the tubs were clean it was an all around good experience. If you need a good place to wash your dog give this a try you wont be sorry.

We just used the self service tub here for the first time today. What a great place! Wonderful customer service and they had everything we needed. I’m so glad they take appointments. The place I used to go to didn’t, and we’d often show up and have to wait forever to get in.

My husband and I came here for the self wash dog station and had such a great experience. The owners were beyond helpful and you can tell they really love dogs. They provided us with more than enough shampoo products and had an awesome variety to choose from(even hypoallergenic for our sensitive guy). The dog wash stations were so easy to use and made our dog washing so easy. So much better here than trying to wrangle our hydrophobic husky at home. They have everything you need and the store is super cute. We left with some local treats for the pups and they loved them.

Came here for the 1st time yesterday the girl working was really nice and helpful, never tried a self serve dog wash place, this place is amazing nice and clean , big tubs to was your dogs and they provide shampoo, dryer, brushes, apron , towels. What more can u want and they do the clean up. Great experience will definitely be back.

Took my German pup of 5 months today and we had a good/ hectic experience! The only hectic thing was my pup pooping after drying him! But one of the workers (wearing baby blue) was soooo amazing and sweet! She was very understanding and nice to us! The place is very clean and makes it really easy to wash your dogs! Especially if you have a bad back like me. Definitely recommend

This place is amazing! I just moved here recently. My dog has epilepsy and when she has a seizure she can get very smelly and gross. And it is so expensive to groom her everytime. Having this self serve dog wash is the best. And the owners are awesome. They were very friendly and helpful. And they provide so much for you. They give you aprons, shampoo and conditioner, towels, a wet brush, and they even offered me ear wipes to clean my dogs ears! It was so clean and well kept too. No hair or excess water. I am so impressed and will definitely be going back. Can't say enough good things about it.

So happy about this new dog wash/ pet supply shop in town! The dog wash is beautiful, clean, and like a little spa day for our dog with a pile of white towels to dry him off with and nice soap mixed up to use. Perfect stop on our way home from dirty hikes.The owners are super friendly and helpful. They also have a great selection of unique and trendy treats and toys.Washing our giant golden doodle is now kinda fun :)

We came here for the self-serve dog wash and were not disappointed. From the minute we entered the store, the 2 employees were friendly and helpful. They explained the process of the dog wash and gave us helpful suggestions. Different shampoos, clean towels, and a nice blow dryer were all available to use. When we were ready to pay, we perused the store front and picked up an all natural treat for our dog. We will definitely be back!

This place has great amenities when you can get in. They didn’t used to require appointments. I can never get in even when it’s in the middle of the day and I stop by and nobody in any of their 6 bathtubs they still won’t let you bath your dog! I raise Guide dogs for the blind and it’s really important to keep our dogs clean as they are in public and in restaurants and as a service dog they should be kept well groomed. But again I call and they won’t let me bath my dog! They are missing out on a lot of self washes with me! I wouldn’t recommend them for that very reason. Self washes should be convenient and this one is not! Go to dirty Johnson’s they are way more accommodating!!

Love this place! So nice and clean! They have tubs that you can walk all the way around, which makes it so easy to bathe my dog. They also have a shelf to put my purse on, so it doesn't have to be on the floor getting dirty. They also have super cute dog cookies and a good selection of toys and food:)

We’ve been here twice now, they’re amazing! The owners and staff are super friendly and helpful. The baths are great. They provide shampoo, brushes, towels, and blow dryers. Our two dogs (golden and bernese) have never been cleaner! They also have a little shop with organic goods that are really well priced, just like the baths. Would highly recommend!

UPDATE 3 years later:Horrendous service with absolutely NO consistency!!We've been getting our food here for YEARS now & each year gets worse. We were encouraged by managers including the owner to do auto orders. Whenever we do so, they charge our card then call to say they don't have the food we ordered in stock. We continue to remind them that they encouraged us to be on auto order to be sure they always have the product.We even tried to compromise & get a different food they had in stock which led to stomach issues (you can only imagine) & vet visits.We always try to support local companies every chance we get, even if it's a bit pricier. However, we are DONE supporting this store. We continuously have to scramble to feed our 2 dogs. NOT WORTH IT!!!!!!!Initial Review 3 years ago: Super knowledgeable and friendly team!! Great variety of quality brands. Prices comparable to online. We love supporting local businesses!
