There is not enough stars to rate this veterinary hospital. I have to say that Dr. Warr is one of the most amazing vets ever. My cat had a kitten that was stuck in the birth canal. She did not instantly say that I need to bring her in to be seen. She gave suggestions to see if we could get it unstuck before saying that my cat needed to be seen. It was after hours and I live a bit over an hour away. She told us to bring my cat and her two kittens down and she would meet us there. She is my friends vet. I had never spoke to Dr. Warr before last night. She made me feel as though I had been bring my animals to her years. She told me EXACTLY what she would need to do to make my boy feel better. She gave me a rough estimate of the cost before even taken her in for X-rays. That price was much less than what I was thinking it would be. She said that we where welcome to wait the surgery was goin to take about 2 hours. As she started and the blood work came back and my poor baby had an infection. She called me to tell me. She told me I could still take my baby home with me but it would probably be better for my baby to get the IV antibiotics. I decided to leave my cat overnight. I asked what I needed for the two kittens while moma was there. She told me that the kittens could stay with the moma. Dr. Warr was busy today but she took the time to answer my calls. I called a couple times throughout the day. Never once did Dr. Warr or the staff made me feel as if I was bothering them. My last call was an hour before the clinic closed. Dr. Warr said my cat was okay to come home. She waited for almost 20 minutes after closing time so I could come to get my baby. I had figured that the price she had told me last night was goin to be a couple hundred dollars more but to my surprise it was less than a hundred dollars more. They are very friendly, nice and make you feel as if you are the only person they are taken care of. Thank you again from the bottom of my heart for taken such great care of my baby. My dog got bit. I called the other vet office in town and they were booked. I walked in here, and asked if my dog could be seen. They said absolutely. We saw Dr. Warr, she was amazing, and found other wounds we didn't know about. I absolutely love this clinic.

Dr. Ekins is an amazing veterinarian! He is the only one I trust. I came to him a few years ago because my Yorkie had been atraked by another dog and I was told she needed surgery to survive which would be around 3,000 by another vet. He looked her over took x-rays and told me she didn't need surgery just a few shots, Medications and time to heal. He was right I saved thousands by bringing her to him even though it was over an hr drive for me to get there. She is now perfect and as healthy as can be I will always be grateful to him for that.His prices beat anyone elses around he is fair and really cares for the animals.

We were vacationing at Great Basin and couldn’t contact someone after hours in Ely on an urgent care line for a concern we had for our dog, so we tried Dr Eakins at Gunnison Bend Veterinary Center. He spent a long time with us on the phone after hours and was not only very professional and knowledgeable, but kind and considerate. Being this caring after hours speaks volumes.

Dr Ekins is extremely knowledgeable and loving towards you and your pet.He does both large and small animals.He and his receptionist just makes you feel like you and your pet are important.
