Luke knows EVERYTHING there is to know about stringed instruments. He is honest and very fair in pricing. I don't purchase any instrument without talking to Luke first. And he has repaired many instruments for me and my extended family. He is a true craftsman. His shop isn't a typical shopping experience either. He is an expert and his work is ALWAYS of the highest quality, and yet he is the one who greets each and every person who comes in the door. He is friendly and easy to talk to, like you've come in to visit an old friend. His store oozes with home town charm. I love going into whittkesticks.

I can not be happier ! Luke has done repairs on my Martin J 40 that I thought I would have to send off to Martin. Impeccable repairs , in a timely manner, and very fair pricing. I cant sing his praises enough. Do not hesitate to send your repairs to Luke. He is the BEST.

Always great results! There are maybe those that claim to be skilled... then there are those that have the education, the skills and the finished product history to back it up. That is Luke at Whittlesticks... He builds violins and guitars from scratch and i think he is the authorized service center for Martin and Taylor.. Nice resume I would say!

Luke, the owner, is the best luthier around southern Utah as far as I'm concerned and well worth the drive up to Cedar City. He's now become certified to also handle a number of high-end guitars as well as violins, violas, cellos, and even your upright bass. After a near disaster with someone else, I won't have anyone other than Luke work on any of my banjos, some of which are almost 100 years old. It's great to have Whittlesticks here!

I first went to Whittlesticks in 2008 when my daughter (then 8 years old) started playing the violin. Since then, we have purchased 3 violins, a cello, viola, and numerous repairs to our guitars and he restored an antique violin for us. I can't say enough good things about Luke and his business. He is very professional and will bend over backwards to make sure you have what you need.Definitely the place to go!

A brilliant stringed instrument store. Friendly and very helpful with giving advice on two of our instruments, a violin and guitar. They also installed a strap button for us right on the spot and let us try on a new strap for the guitar until we found one that suited my daughter.

Thank you, Whittlesticks. A true "local shop", and a shining example of what local business is really all about.My father passed away and we couldn't find his cherished violin. I called Whittlesticks in desperation hoping that he had taken it to get repaired. Sure enough, a friendly person answered the phone and said they had it and had just finished up repairs.I came into the shop, they expressed sincere condolences and explained what had been fixed. I saw the bill on the table with an estimate of $300 for the repairs.He did not charge me $300, and discounted the price for a grieving family.Thank you, Whittlesticks, for being one shining spot in an otherwise terrible week. You guys didn't do it for any publicity, but rather out of goodness. Thank you.
