This is my favorite place to shop. I see the same employees all of the time, they recognize us and are always very kind and helpful. Pharmacy, groceries, refill your bottles of water, bakery, fresh meat and seafood, awesome bakery, deli counter with hot and cold fresh food, the new cheese section is a favorite of mine, and sushi. I mean, you get everything you need there and it is more personable.

this Smiths is an absolute dumpster fire! I moved here from St. George and I went to the deli section to get some meat sliced, and I believe one of the managers was helping me out. she was a younger woman with brown hair and was a bit heavier set. i asked her to help me slice meats and she had the worst attitude about it, like she was upset that i was even there. and she had no idea which meats and cheeses i was even talking about. later, while i was waiting for my product, i heard another heavyset lady yelling at a younger guy in the back about how bad he was at his job. how unprofessional! who argues with their employees in front of customers? i felt so bad for the kid and so uncomfortable. she seemed to think that i couldn’t hear her, but i could make out every word and it was extremely abusive. and not to mention SHE was the one screwing up my order, yet felt entitled to scream at another employee for incompetence. your job is seriously not that stressful, you slice meat and cheese. take a chill pill. every time i come to this store, I have been greeted by the same variation of cranky, nasty old women. i blame management from my experience with a “manager.” seriously, Smiths, if you are going to hire an employee, make sure that they are a pleasant face to see when you want someone buying your product. The service at the deli was genuinely so bad that I have completely switched my grocery shopping over to Lin’s. If you were looking for a helpful grocery store that gets you what you need without awful customer service reconsider coming to Smith’s! The old hags at the deli were enough to ruin my day for three weeks consecutively with their bad attitudes. Not to mention they are super slow and have absolutely no clue what they are doing!

This Smiths is always clean and well stocked with most items. The staff has been there for years and are friendly and helpful. The meat and produce are best here. Competitive prices and weekly ads are great!

This Smith's is seriously going downhill! Customer service is hit or miss, depending on the day. But what really pissed me off is when I put in an order at the bakery for donuts. Over a week before the event, I went in and placed an order for donuts. The lady said it wouldn't be a problem, they'd have it ready for me. However, the day before the event, I got a text message stating that they wouldn't be able to fulfill my order. This made me scramble to another bakery, which did fulfill my order. But who the hell agrees to an order and then bails the day before?!?! I will NEVER use Smith's bakery again! And I don't recommend anyone else do either!As far as grocery shopping, this isn't the worst Smith's, not the greatest either! Sad to say, Walmart is actually cleaner! This Smith's bathroom is not always clean. In the pharmacy, I had to ask where the kids' cold medicine was because I couldn't find it. Go figure, it was under the sign for laxatives. Until recently, their doors on the fridges were broken or missing. Meat is mediocre quality, especially for what they charge. Produce department is seriously lacking in variety!I guess, it is what it is. Wish they would care more and do more for the customers! After all, with out us, y'all don't have a job!

Definitely lower class and dirtier than other grocery stores in Cedar City and I never buy meat here cuz the meat department stinks like a dead pit. Nonetheless there are some better priced items than Wal-Mart and they carry the best dairy free sour cream. Ok customer service most of the time.

A very big, well stocked supermarket. Nice deli, bakery, meat, etc. They don’t carry Spam in individual packets, if that’s a negative for you.

loooooooog check out lines. We went to the self check out. The machine was malfunctioning for just about everyone there. An elderly lady next to me was having difficulty with her machine. She got the extra advantage of being berated by the check out assistant. Totally inappropriate behavior for a Smiths employee wearing a "how can I help you vest". I didn't read How can I yell at the customers anywhere on the vest. I really felt bad for the lady. I told her gee, We have to check out and bag our own groceries and get yelled at while we are doing it. They didn't even offer to train us for the job we are not getting paid for. This place is totally mismanaged. Rude employees.

We have been a customer for 15 years, love the staff. There are too many fake and unkempt "service"dogs that are being brought into the store. Even thought a sign is posted on the front door they walk right in with dogs that are not licensed service dogs and that is a health and welfare concern for everybody. Fake service dogs may not have the required vaccinations or training to be in a busy public area. Dogs carry infectious disease that can live on flooring, shelving and food packaging and will spread to other dogs.It is a nasty visual for customers to shop at a grocery store that can have several fake service dogs contaminating food.Please be pro-active with fake service dogs and ask them to take the dogs home.

I know someone that works in the Cedar city branch thay work 8 hrs and only takes one 30 minute lunch brake. Then thay get told one 30 minute lunch is to long. If you don't care about your employees how am I to believe that you care about your customers and not just profit! Guess I will start shopping somewhere else.

I've never seen so many empty shelves. I pretty much always have to hit multiple stores to get what I need. Not sure if it's a logistics or personnel issue, but it's not great.

Worst experience, deli lady was very rude, she didn’t help us at all, then she started talking about us to her male co worker( yes, I heard you lady) new deli lady was very nice and helpful. Then we go to self checkout and ask to double check a price and that lady was very rude, she walked away, then the machine was acting up and she was nowhere to be found. We kept pressing the help button and no help. We ended up going to the cashier, the lady ant self check out yells ant us saying, so you don’t want to complete your purchase? I asked the cashier if she could check the price on an item and no answer. I spoke to a manager and she knew exactly who I was talking about in the deli cause there was a previous incident earlier that morning, made an excuse for the self check out lady and said that the cashier answered my question after she was done ringing everything up (which was 5 minutes later) Employees look miserable in this store. Customer service is dead these days

I love all Kroger stores, but my favorite chain by far is Smith's. Everything is always so fresh and clean and organized well, which is inlietant for me in my wheelchair. All of their wmployees are so helpful and frie dly, it's a great store.

For the produce section, I would put zero stars, if I could. My husband and I have gotten food poisoning two different times! The other occasions I have gone to the produce section, I have seen molding vegetables and I was greatly disgusted and disappointed. In regard to other aspects of the store, I think it’s a wonderful store with great customer service, but please do something about your produce!!

Retarded high Management decisionUsed to visit Cedar City Smith’s for foods supplies & gas. Sometimes you can meet some local employees on their break for some drinking water. Now i just i just realized how Retarded the New management level decided to take out all the drinking stations from their customers & employees. Now every Smiths in Nevada & Utah you go what greeted you is this darkness (a dark corner). Can you convince me this is good long-term management decisions. I can tell you what: whoever made this Retarded Brain Damaged decision should be fired from their management position for their insensitive, inhumanity & running the business backward.

Smith's has lots of great deals, and their produce section is amazing. I worked at this location back in 2015 and they really pride themselves on their produce section. They also have a savings card that saves you a lot of money if used regularly. However, knowing the management first-hand, they don't care about the customers, and are quite rude to employees and customers behind their backs. The building is a little out dated and dirty on the inside and is starting to fall behind the shadow of the new and improved Lins grocery store on Main Street.

I LOVE THIS SMITH’S!! They’ve had some great deals, there are positive vibes (at least for me), and the employees are stellar. There have been at least four different employees throughout the store who have gone out of their way to be helpful, notice when I need something, and help me feel welcome—even special. Either this location lucked out on some wonderful people or they’re doing something right with training. Either way, it’s a happy place for me (even when there are issues with bagging my items at self-checkout)!

We’ve loved smiths for many years and shopped here almost exclusively the whole time. We started comparing prices to Walmart and realized we’re being robbed by the ridiculously high prices at Smiths. It’s ridiculously high everywhere, but in comparison, we could be saving at least $75-$100 per shopping trip by going to Walmart. We hate Walmart, but we hate overpriced food as well and we’ll be putting in online orders at Walmart from now on. Aside from meats.
