I feel generous for giving this place 2 stars. I’ve taken my dog here 3 times because there were absolutely NO other groomers in Cedar that had availability. She has come home looking weird every time. Every time she comes home, I have to trim her for another 45 minutes for her to even look presentable. There are always spots that are an inch longer than the rest and she comes out of the crates looking absolutely terrified. One of the times I took her in, it looked like they didn’t even TOUCH her tail. It still looked dirty (even though we wash her at home), it was super long, and she didn’t have her sanitary areas trimmed. I ask the groomer every single time to shave out her paw pads but it is never ever done. I always have to do it at home. The most recent time I took my dog, she came home with 2 patches by her nipples that looked like razor burn. She used to be a perfect girl with her baths and the dryer but now she is absolutely mortified by them. I ultimately decided to buy a grooming kit and just learn how to do it myself. It won’t turn out great but at least she won’t have to go here again. Kerrie is just not a nice person. I guarantee she is going to reply with a nasty comment about how it is somehow my fault. Just making you all aware to not go to her.

I just want to start off by saying that I am not a confrontational person and have never previously done this. I have nothing against the owners or workers at Doggy Styles- I am sure they are great people! I just want to relay my experience so that others hopefully ask the right questions and know what kind of service they are getting.I called yesterday (Monday 6/21) and asked if there was any availability for grooming my golden retriever anytime this week. I was asked if today (Tuesday 6/22) at 1:00pm would be okay, and I said great! I was so happy that they could get us in so soon.I also want to say that my golden retriever (whose name is Merlin!) is 10 months old and has some anxiety, and I don’t like to leave him in his crate for more than a couple hours at a time.Today I dropped him off at 1:00pm, and they said they were a little behind but he should be ready by around 5:00pm. Knowing that a typical grooming (bath, haircut, nail trim) for a large, hairy dog takes around 2-3 hours and knowing that there were a few dogs ahead of him, I thought this was totally normal. They took him into a section of the room and put him in a crate, and I felt okay with that because I assumed he would get started in the next couple hours.Around 4:50pm, I hadn’t heard anything so I tried calling, but no one answered. I called again at 5 and again no answer, so I left a message, making sure to say that they don’t need to rush or feel pressure. However, I was starting to feel nervous so my husband and I decided to go to the building to make sure everything was okay. As soon as we pulled up, we saw that a man was walking out with him at the same time to take him potty. We got out to talk to him and found out that nothing had been done or even started yet. I immediately felt horrible because this meant he had been in a crate with no toys or anything to comfort him for over 4 hours. The man told us that he was next though, so reluctantly we left and told him to just give us a call as soon as he was done.My husband called Doggy Styles again once we got home, and we were told that Merlin would be done in less than an hour. I don’t know if this is normal for this establishment, but it seems to me like 1 hour or less is simply not enough time to perform a good service. Unfortunately, this seemed to be true. When we went to pick him up around 6:30, he was still slightly wet, and it seemed like not much had been done to him other than a small trim on his arms (which looks good!) and a trim on his bum. I attached a picture of his bum, which is extremely chunky and so short. I also attached a picture of his nails. First of all, none of them seem to actually have been trimmed, and a couple are splintered (this was not there this morning) .When we picked up our little puppy, he was so excited but also so anxious. He climbed into my lab in the car and refused to move. As soon as we got home, he ran to his water bowl and drank the entire bowl and half of another one, which makes me so worried that he had nothing to drink the entire time he was there.Again, I truly have nothing against anyone at Doggy Styles. Maybe today was just a very busy and hard day! I just want to relay my experience to help people in the future to ask questions and know what could potentially happen if you are naive like me.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE READ!!!!! I own a 7 month old, full size golden doodle. He needed to get in for his first hair cut so I called and they were able to get him in within two days, which was great.I didn’t know what all needed to be done for my dog. He had been to a different groomer, from my hometown, before to be washed and brushed out, have the hair around his face trimmed, have a sanitary trim, and glands expressed. He came out SO soft and looking wonderful.He is a very well-mannered dog for being only 7 months old. I wasn’t worried about him misbehaving at the groomer. He did have matted hair around his face, ears, and neck/chest area. I am FULLY aware that groomers are not miracle workers and it would take time to groom my dog. Kerrie and I had agreed to have a puppy cut but leave the ears and tail long.When I picked him up he was shaved. There was patches of hair that were about an inch longer than the rest. Only half of his face was brushed and trimmed. They nicked him by his eye. Absolutely slaughtered the trimming around his face. Honestly it looked like they didn’t know how to groom a dog. They left his belly and the hair on and around his privates very splotchy (either shaved bare or still and inch long), had nicked him a few places around there too. The hair in and around his paws was still all matted and dirty. I was very, very dissatisfied with his “puppy cut.”The lady, Kerrie, was not friendly or welcoming. IF there was a reason why my dog came home looking like he did, there was no explanation or even a small conversation about how the appt went whether he was just being really naughty or something? I’m not one for confrontation and didn’t even see him up close till I got home. I won’t ever take my dog back. And I do not recommend doggy stylez to anyone.

Karrie is amazing with my dog. She is so caring and sweet. My dog looks so cute with every grooming. Her helper is also very good with my dog, Gunther. After Gunther's appointment he looks exactly how I wanted him to be. Pricing is definitely fair. You can tell she puts her clients first. Thanks Karrie I'll be back.

Amazing service, Kerrie is so friendly and responsive. My black labra/airedoodle (Bailee) is 4 months old and just had her first grooming appointment today. We were a bit nervous on how things would go but Bailee came home way better than we could've asked for.We also had our 4 year old pitbull/boston terrier mix's nails trimmed and from our own experience she does not do well at all (likes to nip/bite). Kerrie nailed it without a hiccup though, and this is the first time our PB's ever had her nails done by someone else.I called on 10/5 and there was an opening for 10/6 (today) -- every other groomer I asked to schedule an appointment with was weeks and months booked out. Doggie Stylez was very accommodating and fast. Cost are about average and without any surprises. Service was well above average. Remember to take care of your pet's coat between visits. Will definitely use Kerrie as our regular family pet groomer for years to come.

The owners of this place are fabulous. They are very communicative and realistic with their time estimates. They also listen and provide everything that I want with my dogs grooming and also keep track of my previous appointments to help keep the consistent hair cut I like. They make sure that while my dog is waiting that he is given water and taken out for potty breaks. I have been in several time and have never had a problem! My dog hates getting his hair and nails cut but responds well with the owners. They work with my schedule and have been very positive and helpful if I cannot pick up my dog right away. I highly recommend this establishment!

Well first off, they don't bathe and do the blow out before grooming which is necessary when you have a dog like mine. A poochon. Secondly, I don't believe they bathed her even after the "shave", (because really that's all they did). She has tangles in her ears and her fur feels dirty.An experienced groomer knows sizzors are used in the majority of the groom with Bichon breeds and mixed, such as poochon. I specified I wanted, and spoke with them about, the rounded head cut, and to completely stay away from the poodle look.In seven years, this is the worst groom my dog has had.Why, you may ask, or the owner most likely will when she responds to my review, didn't I say something when I picked her up.1. The owner is unapproachable, and acted very busy when I picked up my dog.2. I hate confrontation.3. It was too too late to do anything about.4. They collect the money before you get to see the groom on your dog. Something that NEVER EVER happens with any other groomer.I sent pictures to my friend's and my son's and they all had the same response..."OMG!"So, there ya go. That's my experience with this groomer. Oh ya, one other thing, I drove 130 miles round trip for this mess.

We take our two goldendoodles to get groomed here. When we dropped them off they were super nervous because it was a new environment, but when we picked them up they were as calm and happy as ever!They also looked great as well! The price is great and they give a full-service grooming in a clean and safe environment! We’ve only been once so far but we have our next appointment scheduled for next week and I don’t see us going anywhere else in the near future! And I am new to the area but I’m willing to bet this is the best groomer in town!

They were quick, my dogs grooming was more than adequate, and they have a really big pens for my giant dogs which made me feel a lot better about leaving them there since they weren't going to be in a tiny kennel. I’m very confused. The first time I took my two dogs to this groomer, they came back looking great! Very cute, and it looked like a professional job. It also took 3 hours, which is standard, so I was very happy. This time however, they don’t look very good at all.First of all, it took them five hours, and when I got them back their hair was uneven. One of them didn’t get their belly trimmed, and neither of them look like they got their nails trimmed. Also, they cut their ears short when they were specifically told to leave them long. Their eyes were not trimmed, and they barely took anything off the face. Between their toes also wasn’t done.The job looked very amateur, and this comes from someone who has shaved dogs with no professional training whatsoever. I only took them in to a groomer because I was too busy to do it myself. But after I saw the state they were in, I ended up fixing them up myself. They look much better now, but I’m frustrated that I spent $100 for a service that I just had to redo myself afterwards.I would have mentioned all this to the groomer, but I was in such a hurry to get them home after five hours that I didn’t notice how bad it was until I had already left. The last thing I want is to be rude, and at first I thought it was just a fluke. But after seeing all the other review I’m realizing that it wasn’t. If you are not picky, and just need a quick shave for your dog, this is the place to go. But if you want a consistently professional job, where they will listen to your requests, I would recommend going elsewhere.**I’m adding this in because the groomer seemed really offended by what I said, and that was never my intention. I have every confidence that the groomer knows how to groom dogs. Like I said, the first groom was very good! The second groom just seemed to fall short of what I was expecting. I’m very sorry if I made you feel like I was attacking you personally. I’m sure you are a wonderful person who cares about dogs. When rereading this, I can see how it could sound insulting, but I really wasn’t trying to frame it that way. I should have spent more time in my original message talking about the first (good) groom before diving strait into the problems with the second groom. I often attempt to imitate that first groom when cutting my dogs myself, because I liked it so much! Again, I’m sorry for causing offense, I’m not a confrontational person, but I am a bit of a helicopter dog mom. I hope this helps.

She always goes above and beyond to make time for our two golden doodles and they always leave looking great and an awesome spirits! We were so shocked when we picked our boys up after there full service grooming. Our wheaten still had hair knots behind his ears, shortened ears when we clearly asked they not be shortened, tail I trimmed and Face not groomed, still look ratty. Our malti-pom was a mess, cut VERY uneven, some nails were not trimmed, he did not even appear to have been bathed only sprayed with perfume. When we called the excuse was because we requested the malti-pom not be cut summer short so the clipper used caused the choppy cut effect. We could bring them back in for a re-do. The had already spent 6 hours there and now another 6 to get “worked in”!! No way. I had already bathed the little on so he smelled better.Three weeks later we took them to a new recommended groomer who did a beautiful job on both dogs and they smelled clean not perfumed. She noted the hair in both dogs ears appeared not to have been trimmed in a while and between the wheatens toes was so over grown with hair there was no way they were touched three weeks prior.This was not our dogs first visit to this groomer they had gone once before and although the grooming was acceptable they were there almost 8 hours!! It is evident this groomer does not know how to schedule with the best interest of the animal in mind. No animal should be caged for that long of time, it is cruel.We do not recommend this groomer, keep looking!!

I’m very upset on how I was treated...The hours on the listing are incorrect. Because I work in Saint George I let her know that I would be having someone drop off my dog and it would take me awhile to get him because I work 47 miles away. She told my friend that it would be an hour to an hour and a half so she would have been able to pick up my dog at a good time well it kept being a run around with the time because it kept being an hour or longer is what she would say. Well from 11am-1pm is how long she said at first. Then at 2 she said another hour and a half but I got a call at 2:10 and she was so rude to me saying he was done and by then I had thought I had an hour longer. Well when my friend finally picked up my dog he was still wet and had hair coming off him like crazy. What I paid for was his nails being clipped and a wash and blow out for the hair... Maybe just a bad day but I cant believe how awful I was treated along with not upholding to what was supposed to be done...Thank you anyway but I can’t go through that hassle again. I only went there because I saw the other reviews on how nice they are there.Also every time I called I couldn’t get anyone on the phone even though my friend was standing watching her as I called and they picked up the phone but didn’t answer it...🤦🏼‍♀️ Such a joke.

They groomed my cat and she was shaved down to the skin like I asked. I only had two issues with this place. One, I called them early in the week to get an appointment for my cat. Got one for two days later at like 3 pm. I told them she has a wound on her side to watch out for. I take her in at her appointment time and I was told they're going to do cats after they finish all the dogs. They didn't get to her until 5. What's the point of scheduling an appointment, if not done at the appointment time? I had filled out her grooming card and again wrote about the wound on her side. I get a call at 5 saying they just started on her and "did you know she has a wound on her side?". What's the point of grooming cards if you're not going to read them?! So issues with communication and keeping appointment times.

Took my bulldog Bella, a very easy comb and bath, and my 60 pound shepski puppy Besla, a super challenging double coat, still in the process of changing her puppy coat for her adult look, and less than cooperative with the whole grooming process. The patience of the groomers is remarkable! And importantly both dogs came out looking great! I can highly recommend Doggie Stylez for all your dog grooming needs.
