A lot of our household supplies, dishes, some furniture, clothes, books, trinkets, etc., we bought at DI. I bought a brand new $1,000 vacuum for $100! You can find good deals on nice things. Then, if you change your mind, you can donate it right back, and help them out again.

Excellent place to shop. Every time I go it has fun, new things. On Halloween I went in the afternoon and was still able to buy all the clothes needed to make my costume.

This thrift shop was incredibly rude to an employee. He worked constantly picking up heavy furniture and other items. Multiple times he was verbally abused because of his race. His bosses and coworkers were the ones to make these comments to him. They referred to him as the N’ word. This is completely unacceptable. An employee should be able to feel safe and welcomed in a workplace environment regardless of his race. I would not shop here and contribute money to a company who is racist.

I have found some great items here but at times the prices can be out of touch with reality. I fully understand things are getting more expensive and prices will rise but certain things have been batting for the moon. Charging more then new retail for things that were donated doesn’t fit the demographic your trying to serve. Thank you.

Store is clean & well organized, employees have always been polite but prices are pretty high, they sell used items especially clothes & dishes for the same price as clearance ones at retail stores!!

Prices are really high for used stuff. I have found damage on items after I get home and don't even bother to return because they make that process alot more humiliating, harder, weirder than it should be. They will have plain clothed law enforcement people follow you around watching? Just saying.

I have been going to thus DI for the last 5 years. Just in the last few months they have started to increase prices to over retail amounts. This is a church owned welfare thriftstore for people who legitimately can not afford to go elsewhere. Management are price gouging, pulling items up and comparing prices on Ebay. Absolutely ridiculous. Shirts, pants, coats have doubled or tripled in price. Inflation does not impact donated/free goods. Wrong and disappointing.

I don't know what has happened but someone working there has starting hiking up prices. I can go to walmart and get clothes the same price or less than they are pricing them here. They are getting things donated for FREE and then they are looking those free items up on ebay and pricing based off that. That is ridiculous. That is not how the church wants it. I guarantee it's not coming from the leadership of the church this is one or 2 people in management that is doing this. And it's not right. Take your donations else where that they can directly help the poor people that need it because this D I is totally missing the mark of what the church is really about And what Deseret industries is intend for.

Deseret Industries is a thrift store run by the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. What can I say? It's hit and miss for what they have. But if you aren't choosy, you will find a shirt or whatever. You may also stumble on a treasure or two. They usually have a lot of books. Watch the publish dates. The tech books are usually out dated. It's a great place to set a house up the first time. The furniture is usually kind of beaten up, but they do carry new mattresses.

Love DI. Ya never know what one might find to fit her/his fancy. In some cases there are overpriced items when identical items are less.

Hit and miss much like any thrift store. You have to watch prices, and quality check yourself. Sometimes they are pretty high for the condition the items are in. Employees have always been polite. Store is clean and well organized. It seems like I can always find better items at this location than the St George DI.Is my go to for used denim but the prices are all over the place so you have to watch what you are picking out. You can find jeans for $4-$12? I asked once if they would take a couple dollars off an overpriced pare of jeans because there was a hole (pretty sure I could repair) in the leg inseam. They wouldn't lower the price but it probably shouldn't have been for sale in its current condition in the first place.Once found a really nice oversized chair for a bargain. Have found some good exercise weights and bands.

Huge thrift store with a great selection. I thought prices were very reasonable compared to other thrift stores I've been to around the country.

It’s my favorite store in the area. I found a new pair of KEEN shoes around Christmas last year for only $8.00. They are the cleanest, most organized DI store I’ve shopped at, and more likely to have what I’m looking for then other DI’s in the area. I almost always find needed items if I check back at the right time.I think Their management is a little tight on not adjusting prices for poor people sometimes though.

Awesome prices, very busy location and if you put something down for even two seconds, chances are that an employee will grab it and put it back!! Almost seemed like too many staff members and not enough to do.... but there are some great deals to be found here!

The store is super clean and organized however some of the staff was super helpful. Other staff smelled awful like they hadn't had a showered in a long while and acted oblivious to customers around them. We spent a pretty penny too.

Nice staff and clean store but they are super expensive 40 dollars for animal crossing in the game cube. I can go buy a brand new game at game stop for 50 $

Great place to get cds and movies. Sometimes good clothes or furniture if you don't mind a little wear. For collectibles and video games you're almost always better off online. Don't expect too much from the place, it's just a thrift store, afterall. Fun place to look around and the staff are almost always friendly. It really is a good thing for the community.

This is one of the worst thrift stores. They sell used dirty items for the same price as clearance ones at Retail stores. They have a USED matress they got for FREE for $500. If people could afford that price, they wouldnt be shopping at a thrift store. They sell used dollar store items for over a buck. The purses are a variety of prices from 1.50 to 5.00. Sounds like a good deal until you grab the $1.50 one and they refuse to honor that price and charge you $4.00 instead. Then when you question it, because there's at least 5 other purses with that price on it, the manager tells you, "well you dont have to buy it." Thanks for wasting my time Mr. manager. Congrats on your horrible customer service skills.

So I've gone to the D.I. quite a few times in my life when they were at their old location, and a few times in this new location. It feels like they doubled the size of the building, and still offer the same amount of items. The new location could be great, but I guess people need to donate more, and better items.

The price of an item fell off at one point while walking through the store, the manager wouldnt believe me and then asked triple what the regular price was.

One of the least handicapped/disabled friendly stores in the area. I guess their words end when it comes to patrons. Big new store but no handicap/disabled carts for customers. I'll be spending my money elsewhere where they want to make accommodations for their customers. Actions do indeed speak louder than what is preached from the pulpit. Thanks for causing me to go elsewhere, my disabled vet friends will be informed to avoid this store since it isnt disabled customer friendly AT ALL!

Purchased 2 matching couches and was told I could come back in a few days to pick them up. When I came back they said they had tried reaching me (which they didnt) and put my couches back on the floor and sold them to someone else. I will not be coming back here again.

Deseret Industries is such an amazing blessing to the community. Thank God for His Church and the wonderful people who are involved in helping others, not only with their mental and physical wellbeing, but they do whatever they can to help you succeed in life. Deseret Industries has been there for me, probably more than my fair share, 😉 but I will be forever grateful for the opportunities that I have had because they truly cared.I know some may think the prices are unreasonable, but just know that the money goes back to the community, by helping those individuals that are struggling, to have a job, an education, a chance at a better life that they may not have had without the Church, DI, and the community coming together to donate and purchase items from DI.Praise be to our Heavenly Father! It's definitely a team effort and I thank each one of you for your part in helping others!

I don’t understand why the furniture prices are so stinking expensive! Is the management aware that people below the poverty level shop there?? The other day, they had a sofa in there with rips and tears in it for 110$$! I didn’t think greed was the thing with something run by the church. Seriously, something needs to be done.

The service was awful! And everything is so overpriced for used stuff. I can get everything in better conditions and for cheaper at Ross. They treat their employees terribly, too. I heard one supposed manager going off on another employee for a simple comment they made. Take my advice: go somewhere else and get your money's worth.

I didn’t have a good experience, prices are too high, since everything is donated, I was looking for sweatpants, found a pair for $ 5.00, they were ripped on the back side, they were good for garbage, that’s not all, they don’t drop the prices.

Prices can be too high at times. They do very well at a lot of other things like keeping it clean and portraying good cs

As far as thrift stores go it's not bad. They could do a better job disposing of items that really should be considered beyond useful life. They're more realistic in pricing than other thrift stores so that's a plus.
