They have a great selection of animals, including dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, and invertebrates. They have some really nice bio active enclosures set up for the animals and seem to keep it clean. Prices are extremely high, which is my biggest complaint. Customer service could be better.

frankly i'm incredibly disappointed in the animal care. several animals are kept in conditions that are detrimental to their health and its very clear the employees dont know better. axolotls left in harsh, direct light with no escape to shield their eyes (they dont have eyelids!). 50% off an already ridiculously overpriced axolotl because its losing gil fluff from the constant stress. an actively decomposing banded shrimp. visibly stressed animals all around, fish being darker colors where they shouldnt be is the most obvious sign of stress.not to mention they sell puppies, many in "designer" mixed breeds (doodles for example). no reputable breeder would sell to a pet store where they can't make sure someone 1) is prepared to take on a puppy and 2) is going to be a good fit for the individual dog. several older puppies laying depressed because theyre in glass boxes with newspaper shreddings to entertain them.i came here to look at supplies but i could not ignore the heartbreaking state of the animals they have on displayedit: i visited the st george location which is what this review is about, but since sara left the cedar location i imagine the care here has gone down too. she was one of few employees who actually cared.

I can appreciate the small business feel and approach here, but it comes with small business mark ups, so prepare yourself on that side.Ended up getting an adorable havapoodle and was able to negotiate a bit on the price. At home with our puppy a week later and happy we went here.The sales manager is great by the way, definitely knows her stuff as both a manager and a pet owner and is super friendly and professional.

I just adopted a dog from this location and the staff were super friendly and helpful. They had a vary of dogs to look at and I found my perfect match with a female Boston terrier. They let me and my daughter take her out and play with her. The whole process was easy and it had a flash deal with a collar, bag of dog food and a name tag.

They need to carry raw lamb, and grain free cat food. The food is Stop carrying science diet for cats and dogs there food actually isn't good. I Cats and Dogs have 99% of their original DNA AND THEY DID NOT EAT CORN LIKE OBNE OF THE MAIN INGREDIENTS I SCIENCE DIETS FOOD. THEY BUT THE WOMAN OWNER REALLY CARES AND IS PROBABLY JUDT SELLING IT BECAUSE PEOPLE HAVEN'T BEEN EDUCATED AND SHE HAS TO MAKE MONEY. I SHE'S REALLY LOVELY AND I HOPE SHE STARTS OFFERING ORIJEN CAT & DOG FOOD ALL BRANDS AND RAW UNCOOKED FOODS FOR SELL, AND THANK YOU FIVE STARS BECAUSE SHE REALLY DOES CARE. please do not purchase from here! i fell in love with and bought an adorable kitten a few months back (regret not rescuing and paying an extreme amount for a kitten) i was told he was vet checked, genetic tested, vaccinated and health guaranteed. they had me sign paperwork and got me out of there without giving me any copies. my kitten is FIP positive and needing to be euthanized. i called to get reimbursement, but they said i was not in their system and if i had bought from them i would’ve gotten the paperwork, which i did not. i will edit this if i get a call or email back giving me my health guarantee and reimbursing me. please rescue and do not make the same mistake as spending a lot of money on a dying kitten. he was the sweetest little guy and now i am heartbroken.

I'm very disappointed in the employees that they hire. The other day I went in to look and possibly buy a dog. A young lady who looked very young, possibly in middle school or high school was holding a dog outside of the petting area and was standing in the corner with about 4 other girls around her petting the dog she was holding. She looked like she was wearing dirty PJs and her hair was a mess, almost like she just got out of bed and it was late afternoon. I had another dog with me and my friend in the dog pen area that I was considering purchasing I was finished and was trying to give the dog back and was going to ask questions about purchasing the dog. All of a sudden this girl comes out of nowhere and started chastising and yelling at me to sit down while I was holding the dog. I didn't really say much because I thought she was just a customer and I ignored her. she just kept yelling at me and chastising me about the way that I was holding the dog. I was not holding the dog inappropriate and I was keeping it safe. she was very rude and condescending. I didn't realize at the time that she was an employee. I found out latter when I went to ask about purchasing that she was an employee. Needless to say I left and will not be back.

I will buy supplies from this store because it is all we have in cedar besides petsmart which doesn't have many supplies. I will never buy and animal from them. First DO NOT buy a puppy from here. All of the puppies come from puppy mills. Places that just breed and get out as many puppies as possible. These mills do not socialize the puppies at all. They are in horrible condition. Then these puppies are sent to places like this, kept in small boxes most of the time, and still rarely socialized. I know of 4 people in Cedar who bought a puppy from here and soon had to put the poor thing down due to "agression". None of that is the puppies fault. It is the puppy mills fault. We need to stop buying puppies from these mills and shut down their horrible trade. Most of the dogs they sell are euthanized or surrendered to a shelter. We have THOUSANDS of dogs in shelter with limitless age ranges and breeds. Not just pitbulls and pitbulls are so sweet and kind! The reputation they get is from horrible people training them to fight. The puppies they currently have produced are sweet innocent and scared. If we stop buying them, they will stop producing. The puppies we didn't buy will end up in shelters, yes. However, once the mills are stopped then we can all turn straight to shelters and ADOPT DON'T SHOP. I am very passionate about animals. Some of the supplies they sell or horrible, small plastic tanks advertised for spiders and fish and even mice. All these animals need more space and care. They have some lovely reptiles but almost all of them are malnourished and in the wrong environment. I am a reptile parent, I've got a snake and two leopard geckos, neither I bought, both were surrendered to me by people who didn't realize the commitment. The leopard geckos at Cedar Pet Supply are very malnourished. Leopard geckos store their healthy fat in their thick chubby tails, the geckos I saw had small tails. Leopard geckos also can not have a loose substrate such as dirt, sand, or some bioactive mix. They are kinda dorky little dudes and will lick everything, ingest the loose substrate and they become impacted and die. In nature their environment is clay, if you want to go natural that is a Good option. However just as good and cheaper substates are ceramic tile or vinyl. I just wish people would realize these animals are living things too. Capitalism is capitalism, and people will monetize animals in evil ways but we can all pitch a part to make these critters life a bit better. Adopt don't shop. Thanks for coming to my Ted talk. Also I have seen so many dead fish here

Such an anmazing and friendly staff! I LOVE THEIR PUPPIES!!Edit to my review.After a few months I did some research on where my puppy came from. It turns out that she is from a puppy mill. SHE LIVED IN A CAGE THE FIRST 4 MONTHS OF HER LIFE!!The staff was very kind, I won’t change that review,I LOVE my little girl I rescued and would never give her up. I blame the management for buying puppy mill dogs and supporting the abuse the poor mama dogs endure with the breeding practices that go on. The price the Cedar City pet shop charges for the puppy mill dogs is ridiculously high.I would caution anyone looking into buying a pet from them to definitely read the fine print on exactly where the animal came from.😢

If I could I would rate lower as while they take care of their puppies. They are well undertrained for their reptiles. I bought an emerald green tree boa from them that had snake mites. While that is not the worst thing ever nor can it be reliably tracked to them I can state that as of this review they have a blue tonged skink with scale rot on its mouth as well as a uromastyx with a respiratory infection.

I went into cedar pet supply today at 12pm and multiple small animals were being neglected by not having food and some no water. It also seems the sugar glider has no water bottle as well and when I lifted the sheet there was no water in the little bowls they have, I also did some research and the owner of company seems to be sourcing dogs from unethical breeders even though I was told they came from good places. USDA licensed breeders mean nothing anyone can get licensed and all they have to do to keep the license is to provide food, water and shelter so its very easy for mass puppy breeders to get away with this. So don't let them con you into buying a sickly un ethical bred dog when you can get one cheaper from an ethical breeder who health tests their dogs and can provide many documents of their history. I do wanna so however the reptile care is very good and the reptiles seem very happy and well taken care of.

The employees here are super sales-motivated and it really ruins the customer-employee relationship. I don't blame the employees at all, but every time I walk in it's like walking into a dealership. We finally caved and bought a puppy, and the whole exchange after the got us on the hook was "let's get this sale done", and not "let's get this puppy a home". Serious praise to a guy I wish I remembered his name, Koshta I think? He was very excited to get us a puppy and he made it clear he was excited to give the puppy a home. Although he was new we didn't get that one-on-one experience, but he still was rooting for us the entire time and that made me happy. I hope the store in the future encourages more relationship-based sales and less sales-based sales. :/

This was a great place and the staff was super helpful! Here’s a few things I noticed that made me want to write a review!- Staff seemed very helpful and invested in their pets.- The entire store was clean and well organized; a nice departure from some of the pet stores I’ve gone to in the past that have a certain “smell”.- They had a wide selection of pet foods that after talking to the staff and looking up online reviews, helped me choose one that would be perfect for my dog (I really recommend Taste of the Wild)

I was sold a sick gecko by this store. The shop workers knew it was sick and let me take him home, even though they knew he wasn’t going to survive much longer. My gecko did not last more than two weeks before his passing. When I returned to the store for a refund they admitted that they knew the gecko was sick and he would have gone into quarantine if I had not had bought him. Despite admitting this to me they would not give me a refund and instead tried to replace him. I would not recommend this shop to anyone. I am so heartbroken and disappointed I can’t believe they would make animals live in these conditions. SHAME ON THEM!
