The male who helped me here was excellent and provided excellent information on round valley draw slot canyon as well as hiking the sheep and paria River loop. Very nice and knowledgeable, more so than I often experience at visitor centers. Provided reference maps and handouts. There are a few exhibits in the visitor center as well but I did not look at them much.

I didn't even know this place existed. Great place to learn more about the area, see all the great maps. You can also get a stamp for your National Parks & Monument Book here. They have restrooms and a drinking fountain. They have artifacts displays, and an outside example of what types of shelter was used by Native Americans. Parking is free and there is a park just south of here.

A little hard to find. We drove past it the first time. The park is very large and most if not all of it requires for wheeled drive to get to the slot canyons. Just be aware. The people were very helpful on making some suggestions we were more prepared to do.

We don’t know why Utah has such clean, helpful, interesting BLM Visitor Centers with excellent interpretive panels and friendly staff- but we learned to live with it…

This small visitor center creatively depicts what it was like for early settlers to live in the area. The Ranger was very helpful in directing us to a nearby trail the included slot canyons that were beautiful and not crowded. They were a highlight of our 17 day trip to Utah. The gift shop was well stocked. We only had 1 day in Escalante area, but I will come back to explore several more hidden gems.

Went in to ask questions about a few local hikes. The agent at the counter was not only unhelpful, but condescending. We wanted directions for the Willis Creek hike. He started by asking us for a measurement on our car, and got extremely condescending saying ' apparently neither one of you can understand what I'm saying'. We asked a few other questions about other hikes and got short, snippy, answers. We tried to find the Willis Creek hike and never did, based on his lack of detailed directions. This man who's job is to help tourists, failed miserably. Hard to believe for a Visitor's Center

The rangers we're awesome! Had great knowledge and insight and were excited to share. One is a paleontologists and a great teacher that left me wanting to learn more.

This was a really nice place to visit. They had exhibits outside the building as well as inside. We didn't have long enough to see everything...I hope we get back to be able to spend more time.

Great little visitor center with good information about the area, state parks and National parks, hiking, 4x4ing and road conditions. It is just a block off the famous and scenic Utah Highway 12 and just a short drive some Bryce Canyon National Park. The staff is very friendly, and knowledgeable about recreation options in the area.

Good info there. Also if you got young kids, their is a playground across the street with a sweet old school merry go round.
