Building from the outside looks like a sit down restaurant. When you walk into the establishment it’s set up as a food court. You order up front at the register and pick up your food at the counter.Key takeaways:Great beer and wine selection.Friendly and welcoming service.Cozy and down to earth atmosphere.Accommodating for small groups.Wi-Fi access.A bit pricey but that’s what food is priced at everywhere anyway. Especially for small businesses in areas such as Bluff.Thankful to have a good food source in the region.Also, the cheese in the nachos is a bit over powering for the dish. You can’t taste the brisket, beans, or the garnishes added to it due to the amount smothered on top.Overall, great smoked sausage and tender brisket.We will be back in the near future with more friends.

Great find in the small town of Bluff, UT during our road trip through. Ended up having Thanksgiving dinner here. The smoked turkey was sold out, but we thoroughly enjoyed delicious authentic barbecue brisket with sides of stuffing, mac n’ cheese with pulled pork, cheesy fries and finishing off with pumpkin pie. All made in house. Very friendly hospitality and service. Basic and clean dining restaurant with picnic style table seating, nice music and local photography art on the walls.

TL;DR - Another surprisingly great spot for a small town in the middle of nowhere.Great food, good/friendly service, nice and clean inside.Simple BBQ place with a good menu. We're visiting the area and decided to stop in and check it out. Not disappointed at all. They have your typical BBQ menu items with fair prices.They make their own BBQ sauce and have a vinegar based Carolina style, a maple BBQ, a mango habanero, and their house BBQ. The house sauce was my favorite, more of a rich smokey, slightly sweet flavor.Staff is friendly, portions are good. What are you waiting for?Vegetarian options: This is a BBQ restaurant. Enough said.

My wife and I were in the area for Thanksgiving night only, and we were super pleasantly surprised to find Canyon Smokehouse not only open but serving their full menu to a pretty hectic holiday crowd. The food was excellent, and the service was cheerfully on point!! I don't really get excited about mac-n-cheese, but I am SO GLAD that I tried the hatch chili mac-n-cheese...it stole the show!!!!

The brisket was great and very tender, although there was a big chunk of fat on it, so there wasn't that much meat. The ribs were OK, but I'd recommend the brisket over the ribs. They had 6 different sauces, but to be honest I thought they were all pretty bland. I don't really know why. The corn salad side was super salty and I wouldn't recommend that one.The atmosphere was OK, but it was effectively garden tables inside.Dietary restrictions: Most things were gluten free

I ordered the brisket sandwich with a side of cornbread. There were a handful of bbq sauces to try - I tried the Maple and South Carolina - both delicious, I loved the South Carolina one. The brisket consistency was perfect, excellent flavors, and the cornbread was moist and delicious. Paired with a Moab lager.Staff was friendly and provided quick service! Loved the atmosphere inside, especially the beautiful Utah photography throughout. I also appreciated the vegetarian options. Would absolutely visit again next time I'm in Bluff!

For the local area this place is really good! Well worth the price and honestly, I would keep coming back here if I had more time to. If you're ever in bluff, drop by this place! The fries were crunchy and hot! The brisket was well cooked and juicy, the pork ribs were great! Especially with the Carolina BBQ they have available. Only problem is drinks (soda and beer) are not on tap they come either in bottles or cans but for the food, I'm willing to put that problem to the side. Most items on the menu seem to range anywhere from around $4 - $23 ish but It's definitely cheaper than all other similar restaurants in the area, with way better quality 😀

If you’re looking for amazing bbq, this is the place! Really good brisket. Huge portions. Amazing mac and cheese. The brisket is perfectly cooked and has an incredible bark! The owners are amazing people and will give you a great experience! If you’re in the Bluff area, don’t pass this place up. 12/10 would come back again!

This is some of the best BBQ I have ever had. Melt in your mouth, fall off the bone, goodness. The owner is so kind and promotes a great atmosphere. My wife is gluten free and there were lots of options for her to choose from. Reasonable prices too!Dietary restrictions: Good for gluten free!

The food was fantastic and the staff were so helpful! Loved the counter service fast-casual atmosphere, and the ability to order wine with dinner made each night perfect. We came through Bluff on our jeeping trip and stopped here 2 nights in a row for dinner, it was so good! The variety of sauces made it easy to share an entree, and the meats were smoked to perfection. The sides were tasty and the loaded Mac n cheese was AMAZING. We will definitely be coming back to this hidden gem in a few months on our next trip to Southeast Utah!

This wasn't a bad stop but there wasn't any wow moments either. Let me break this down. I feel the food to cost ratio might have been about right considering specialty meats costs. Flavor was good on both the ribs and the brisket. Im not sure about their sauce mixes but I did like the Mango Habinaro and my wife liked the Carolina Maple BBQ Sauce. My wifes Potatoe Salad side was a little questionable as she said it had a little bite to it, not like Spicey or a hint of Vinager either. Just wasn't sure so she didn't finish it. I did love the coleslaw and Brisket Baked Beans. Aside from the Baked beans and the potatoes salad we got the same things, so I wonder a little about the brisket cuts. They were not consistent. As far as service there wasn't any. We did pay a 15% tip when we ordered but we did all the work. Picked up our food, drinks, condiments and even cleaned off our table. Why did we tip? Hmmm. The atmosphere was rustic? Not sure what to call it really though.

I was shocked at how good this bbq was! Who would have thought we'd find real bbq in Bluff Utah? There was enough pork on my sandwich for two sandwiches! The Cole slaw was excellent. My friend got the brisket and he said his was perfect. I spoke with the pitmaster and he was great! All of his bbq sauces are made on site. We also enjoyed a cold beer with dinner. Perfection!

On a long cross country trip, we stumbled unpin the Canyon Smokehouse. It was late and we just wanted to get to our room, so decided to get an order to go. We ordered their pulled pork tacos minus jalapeño. They were quite large and stuffed full. My hubby and I split a meal and couldn’t finish all three tacos. They were filling and delicious. I’m hoping to talk my hubby to lunch there again before we leave Utah. I highly recommend so if in the area give them a try.

We have always enjoyed driving through Bluff, but the food and wine situation has consistently been sub par to say the least. This weekend we discovered the Canyon Smokhouse, with amazing wine and brisket, among many other delicious items.Erin and her husband were both fantastic, food was delicious and yes, you can buy a bottle of wine there and take the rest back your your hotel! We finally have a reason to stay in bluff overnight!

Fantastic BBQ Pulled pork sandwich! So good I got 1 to go on the way out. I got the side mac and cheese which was also spectacular. Their homemade BBQ sauces are also top notch. I tried the Carolina (slight kick) and maple which were both so good! The staff was so friendly and helpful I can’t recommend this place enough. It’s a must stop when in Bluff! Cheers!

Look, this place has a huge advantage of being the only spot open in the evenings in Bluff during the off season. That said, it helps that the food is truly great. I had an opportunity to try nearly all of the different meats and a bunch of sides that these people make and they were all amazing.The staff are also wonderful, going out of their way to make sure everything is great, even when things are beyond busy.

We were recently in Bluff for about a week during the recent annular eclipse and in between exploring the area we came back to Canyon Smokehouse several evenings so we were able to sample a wide variety of items. Everything we tried was done well. In particular I remember that the brisket was a consistency I liked, was very flavorful and didn't feel fatty like some I've had in other places. I'm also partial to mac'n anything and the bowls I had were again really tasty and done to a nice consistency. Take one of the dessert bars with you they were good.

The brisket was dry like beef jerky. And the fries were too salty. Idk if I'll try this place again. But nice setting.Gave it another try and it was better! Thank you for having a nice place to stop in for a bite to eat.
